  1. I go to events like this on my own. Find it easy to meet the guests I want to see as I don't have to worry about someone queuing up for something they have no interest in. Would be nice to have someone with me to be my official photographer though!
  2. Any idea what happened with him today? One of the staff told me he just didn't turn up?
  3. Great day. The queue (for us normal ticket people) was very long, and possibly only confused by a staff member making everyone at the back bunch up so it went from an organised line to a bizarre bunched up mess. Anyhoo, venue is great. Well spaced out so even though it was really busy (Saturday and Sunday will be interesting) it never felt cramped. Big props to the cos-players. Every person I saw just looked brilliant. Gripes. Gary Kurtz didn't turn up at all, which was annoying. John Wagner and Will Simpson also weren't in the comics zone, just empty stands. No worries with that as guessing they will be there over the weekend but could have saved me carrying my Dredd poster around all day if the guest lists said what days they were attending.
  4. Hoping he comes back another time as I was really looking forward to meeting him.
  5. Ah boo, won't be there Saturday. Gutted, would have liked him to sign both my GOT and DS9 poster.
  6. Always good to have a reminder about how poor I am...
  7. Adding to my posters. Star Trek: First Contact - Damn you Frakes, bless you Krige. The Walking Dead - Will be 18 autographs on that one. Games of Thrones - even with my mishap with forgetting to buy a Saturday ticket, that one will be up to 19 signatures. Star Wars Trilogy - Will be up to twenty on this beauty by the time the weekend is finished. Star Trek: Voyager/DS9 joint poster - This is my new start up. Four to sign at this show, and very much looking forward to seeing Rene Auberjonis in the Winter. and I'm still considering starting up a Penny Dreadful poster...
  8. For media, it's probably Julian Glover. Just such a great body of work - Indy, Star Wars, GOT... brilliant stuff. For comics, John Wagner. Reading Dredd made me want to do the job I do today.
  9. I'd love the cast of Hannibal to be there. Not a bad actor in the lot. That, and surely Mark Rolston has to be there please?
  10. Ohhh, loved Aliens: Rogue. Also liked the work he did on the Nemesis comic book for Alton Towers back in the day.
  11. Excellent. His signature will be going on the poster. Looking forward to meeting him.
  12. I still have a bone to pick with Paul McGann after he failed to turn up at the Alien Convention, Bristol in around 1995. Didn't cancel, just didn't turn up. Was very, very odd.
  13. It's difficult isn't it? Have to admit this is why I wimped out and bought a Star Wars trilogy poster instead so I don't have to worry. By the time LFFC is over, it'll be onto 18 autographs. Great guest, nice to chat to and was happy to add his character name next to his signature. A small character he may be but an important one I think for the progression of Luke. That and he was in Batman so would be rude not to have him on there...
  14. Now we have the brilliant Rene Auberjonis, any chance of more ST: DS9 and Voyager guests please? Also, still got my fingers crossed on Mark Rolston, Clancy Brown, Bob Gunton and the lovely Lena Headey (and anyone from Dredd for that matter). I would also say anyone from Game of Thrones please but that almost seems a given. Oh, and can we have Denis Lawson please? If I can get his signature on my Star Wars poster, I will honestly consider it finished and finally frame the bloody thing. I'm getting tired of carrying it around.
  15. Brilliant. I didn't even realise it was him who played the Night King! He was great fun in Doom - some quality lines.
  16. I'd also like to know the above, and indeed what day(s) he is there? I would like a signature on my Dredd poster if possible so would be nice to know.
  17. I always take a gold pen with me just in case. And carry it very, very carefully.
  18. Grr, she was the main reason for attending on Sunday. Ah well... still plenty of GOT guests. Fingers crossed she is back for the Winter show maybe?
  19. I'm gutted I can't go on Saturday - really wanted to meet Charles Dance - but it's my fault at the end of the day. Really not sure how anyone can be angry at Showmasters, let alone livid, for the event selling out. That is kinda the point of why they run these shows, and with the kind of guests that they have been getting I honestly can't say I'm surprised.
