  1. It's understandable to wait when you're looking at the cost for an international flight and all. My flight is under $200 this time around and it looks like I'll actually be able to pay for it entirely in airline frequent flyer miles earned from my flight for Sherlocked UK next month.
  2. I took another look at the faqs and it also says: "All talks are included in your ticket and will happened depending on your chosen track - so at any one time either the Baker Street Track or the Diogenes Club Track will be all seated in the halls for their respective talks. Both tracks will get to see the same people in talks over Saturday and Sunday. No one track offers more or different guests." So... do Baker St and Diogenes actually see different talks by the same guests? Like, if a miracle happened and Martin attenended, Baker St would see him talk at one day/time and Diogenes at another, but each in the main hall? I'm confused. Excited. But confused.
  3. Me! I got a golden ticket!!!!!!
  4. The track thing threw me a bit. The way I understand it, they just don't have a hall big enough to fit everyone at once, so they're going to alternate which group is in the main hall with the actual actors and which is in the 'overflow' hall with the live feed monitors. I'm guessing they'll switch every other talk? I would hope that if not everyone on a given track attends a talk they would let those in the other track have the empty seats in the main room. I just randomly chose my track. I hope somewhere in a month or so they announce which tracks will be in which talks and I'll have chosen the wrong one.
  5. Got my tickets! And I've been to a convention at that hotel before. It's a great venue.
  6. Come on 6pm! Why are you taking so long?
  7. When I need to buy tickets in the UK for theatre they always go on sale at 2am my time. It isn't a great time to be trying to make financial decisions. Anyone have any thoughts on the whole 'more traditional convention' wording? It sounds like it's going to be a lot smaller than Sherlocked UK.
  8. It would be something helpful to have. Come Wednesday I really don't want to be just hitting refresh on my computer every minute from 12am London time.
  9. His son must take after his mom then. When he was signing my poster he was so worried he was going to make a mistake and 'mess it up.' I didn't get his auto - it wasn't clear if he was signing or not and to be honest as an adult I really do feel uncomfortable getting auto's from kids, so I wasn't sure whether to go up or not. When I got his autograph he was set up at the table next to his mom and dad and Showmasters had made one of those "who they are" posters and put it up behind him. It was pretty clear at that point. He was thrilled that people wanted his autograph.

  11. Who drew the 'tach on Benedict? I honestly don't recall seeing the display case with the models? Where at the con was that? I forgot as well they had the BBC shop there as well with loads of Sherlock items. The models were in with the costume display.
  12. Having read the blurb it's odd that she hasn't been added to a group already, unless with Sheffield this weekend they haven't had time to sort that bit out. They're also waiting until next week to put her photo shoots up for sale. So I think you're right, they're just a little busy. But it does feel like they've abandoned the forum here a bit. They haven't posted either Rupert or Una's additions. As an eternal optimist, I'm going to choose to hope that it's because they're out convincing Martin Freeman and David Nellist to come.
  13. Time for some big name announcements! Please?
  14. Did anyone get an email with this or anything? I just saw that tweet and came here for info, but there's nothing. And I really wish Showmasters would announce the date and city BEFORE the ticket sale date. I'd like to check feasibility of travel before the rush to buy tickets With Britain it's a pretty good shot that with one location it'll be London. With the US it isn't so obvious.
  15. Rupert was my favourite guest last year. I also have fingers crossed that he'll be back.
  16. It's never too early for a convention countdown! Hopefully we'll be getting some BIG names announced soon. (I will forever have my fingers crossed for Martin.)
  17. There will be an update as soon as possible. Sorry, this is handled by the office and the mods have no information yet. Thanks for the quick reply, will wait and see what info gets put up :) I've still to buy my gold ticket am undecided on which group to go for. Such choice :) The page seems to have been updated now with gold G and H photos: GOLD GROUP G GOLD GROUP H Moffat/Vertue (Sun) Moffat/Vertue (Sat) Alistair Petrie (Sat) Natasha O'Keefe (Sun) TBC Yasmine Akram (Sun)
  18. Ah. Great. I just thought you had a good question that deserved an answer.
  19. This question got a bit lost before and now that more photo shoots are being made available for general sale, could we get some clarification?
  20. Facebook has been updated: PHOTO GROUPS - CLARIFICATION Please ignore previous information posted about the Photo Groups, the image below now confirms the correct groups - we are sorry for any confusion. A new email will be sent out to confirm this update.
  21. Do we know if Phil will be in generally 'Jeff the Cabbie' attire for this? I'm thinking about purchasing this photo shoot, but I've seen some comparable pictures from *other* conventions where the actor is wearing an outfit that REALLY wasn't in character.
  22. Hey Showmasters, you do realise that you're rapidly running out of January February in which to announce US Sherlocked information don't you?
  23. I'm already travelling to London for the UK event, but going to the US event as well will depend on where it is (because a flight to New York isn't much cheaper for me than it is to London even though I fly past it on the way to London.) But if Martin is announced, I'd probably book a flight to the moon to get to it.
