  1. Hello, I have a suggestion/request for a future Sherlocked event, please: It would be lovely if the convention used a variety of moderators, so people could experience a different moderator for each talk, just to mix it up a bit and provide differing perspectives. It would also be very lovely if at least one moderator was female -- again, just to mix it up a bit and provide a differing perspective. Also, speaking of moderators -- who was the moderator for the talks? Just curious. I think his first name was David. I asked a lot of attendees -- and some attendees asked me -- and nobody had any idea. Thanks! Anna

    Confused!

I have a similar question -- my tag has my photo group C going through on Sunday, but it looks like on the photo schedule it should be Saturday. Similarly, if "Crew" photo means the production team, I'm not sure why my tag assigned me to the Saturday photo session instead of the Sunday, since Saturday is apparently for only the Saturday-only attendees? i'll check with the folks at Excel when I go back at 6pm, but thought I'd chime in here, too. Registration was fast and easy, and folks were very nice, but I went at 2pm, which was likely a less busy time. Anna
  3. Thanks, QS! TooTall, it sounds like I need to print the new tickets, then? Man, I'm going to have a book's worth of paper . . . . Anna
  4. I've just received this verification email as well, and I'm sure I paid for e-verification on my orders already. Also received six(!) emails from SHERLOCKED with tickets attached telling me to print them -- are the tickets I printed when I originally purchased them not valid anymore? Thanks for any help, Anna

    Letters Live

You are truly a Cool Dad. :) Well done, you! I'm gutted they didn't announce Letters Live earlier. I'd already bought my plane tickets to London, flying out on the 8th -- just a few days too late. The first Letters Live was fantastic -- I was lucky enough to have been in London at the time -- so I can only imagine how fabulous this lineup must have been. I hold out hope they'll release a few clips for those of us who were on the wrong continent. Anna

    Letters Live

The grand finale of Letters Live apparently had Tom Hiddleston as well as Cumberbatch. Hiddles and the Batch in the same room? I'm not sure my heart could take it. ;-) Anna
  7. Very chuffed they added this! Anna
  8. I can confirm that the screening (it initially said something about being introduced by a cast member, not Benedict specifically) was never included in the gold package, only platinum and up. I remember specifically because the screening was the only thing that didn't come with the gold package that I wanted, so I made a note to buy a separate screening ticket. Which I did. I've no idea which episode, but what the hell. I hold out hope that maybe they'll also play a teensy clip of the Christmas special, but I likely hope in vain. Regardless, a group screening of Sherlock on a big screen will be splendid! I did that once when my local PBS station had a preview of The Empty Hearse, and the crowd chemistry made it a whole different experience from watching an episode by myself. Anna
  9. I'm interested :) Sorry, found a taker already. Thank you, though! Anna
  10. Well, it turns out my friend can't make it with me, so I have an extra ticket. Free if someone wants to go with me. Anna

    Letters Live

I was lucky enough to attend the very first Letters Live; I was already on vacation in London when I saw a message pop up on Twitter about it. I scrambled for a ticket and got one just before it sold out a few minutes later. It was a stunning experience -- all the readers and letters were excellent, but Cumberbatch was phenomenal. If I'd known earlier about the current Letters Live event, I'd have tried to arrive in London early enough to attend at least the final night (yes, I'm greedy). It's probably just as well I didn't know, since I really can't afford to use up more vacation than I am already! I really shouldn't even be coming in April since I've had an August trip booked since last year for Hamlet. I have a feeling I won't be going on vacation anywhere next year as my fiscal penance, but it'll be worth it. I envy those of you who can go to Letters Live this time. It was an evening I won't forget. Anna
  12. For those who live in London or who are arriving early (I'm arriving on the 9th to see the Museum of London exhibition, visit the Cotswolds, & generally make a lovely vacation of it), Martin Freeman will be at a Q&A for a charity screening of the Eichmann Show on April 12. http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/171037 https://www.facebook.com/EichmannShow It's only 11 pounds per ticket. I've bought two, so if you're going, I'll see you there! :-) Anna
  13. I'm actually arriving a couple of weeks early in April to catch the Sherlock Holmes exhibit at the Museum of London right before it ends. I'm also considering going to the Wellcome exhibition on forensics: http://londonist.com/2015/03/forensics-the-anatomy-of-crime-at-wellcome-collection.php http://wellcomecollection.org/forensics Anyone interested? Anna
  14. A Victorian-themed party sounds like a brilliant idea to me -- I'm bringing a Victorian costume myself. :-) Anna
  15. Well, there's always A Very Sherlock Christmas -- there have been two memorable festive celebrations so far, and another just filmed. :-D A bit out of season, but never mind. Anna
  16. FYI, I booked a place on AirBnB for only about $100 per night within a couple of minutes' walk from the Excel Centre. There were several others relatively close by last time I looked. Might be worth checking. Failing that, I stayed at the Ibis Styles for LonCon and it was comfortable enough, and one of the cheaper hotels within walking distance. Anna
  17. That has not been confirmed. But as the platinum package lists priority access before the Gold. Silver and Weekend ticket holders I would think so. Confirmed: yes, tickets will be available for separate purchase. Oh, excellent, thanks! One more question, please - I bought a weekend pass for my friend at the same time I bought my gold ticket, but I didn't see anyplace to specify her name. Will I need to email that to someone? I have emailed EventBrite with the question, but no answer yet (I suspect they're buried under a deluge of SherlockMail at the moment). Thanks again for your prompt and helpful responses! Anna You just need your e-tickets as long as you're there as well to collect them. Lovely! That's me sorted, then -- I'll be there with bells (or at least a costume) on! Appreciate all the help. :-) Anna

  19. Hurrah! I scored a Gold package and am really looking forward to this! :-) I think the only thing it didn't contain that I wanted was tickets to the screening(s). Will tickets for that be available for separate purchase? Thanks again! Can't wait! Anna
  20. Thanks -- I'm a bit familiar with the venue. I won't take your statement as official, but it's still comforting. :-) Anna
  21. Getting a bit worried. I don't actually care about autographs and am not fussed about meeting the actors or getting photographed with them. I really just want to attend the guest talks, see Sherlock costumes, and meet other fans. Hoping there's a (non-eyewateringly-priced) package option for that. I can't really go over 300 pounds or so. I've only ever been to fan-run, author-centric events, so I'm a bit of a stranger in a strange land, here. Is this sort of convention mostly about autographs and photos, or are there other programs and events? Anna
  22. Really hoping it's within a week or two of April 12, the last day of the Museum of London Sherlock exhibition -- then I could go to both! Anna
