Not my favorite Ghibli movie, but the music by Cecile Corbel was absolutely breathtaking!

Is it bad that I had no idea who Amanda Tapping was before she was announced for this show? Honestly, the only person I knew of was Shend, and that's because he was in one of my favorite Merlin episodes.

Not sure about requests but my go-to place is always Etsy. I got an entire cosplay outfit pieced together from various different people there and since everything is custom-made to order, it's sort of done by request, in a way. It may be worth seeing if anybody makes Nebula outfits and then ask them if they can create the costume that you have in mind.

This is a little game I like to play on forums and they tend to be quite successful. :) I'm assuming we're all familiar with the basic iPod shuffle game, where you put your music player on random and have a set of questions and must answer each question with the title of each song no matter how ridiculous it is. Well, the poetry version is similar. Except there are no questions. Put your music player on random, and write down the first line/sentence of the first ten songs that play, so that it makes a short poem. This can be really fun! You can post what the songs were at the end if you like. Here's my song poem, for what it's worth. Looking forward to yours! Bit of a long shot but for future events, Terrance Zdunich.

The site does say that the venue is partially open to the elements and to come prepared in light of that. I can't really see them squeezing every guest inside because there just wouldn't be room to move. Then again this will be my first winter CM so what do I know.

So far it's not really very thrilling if, like me, you're not a Stars Wars or wrestling fan. Few more weeks to go though, will keep checking...

If nothing else I'll pray for next May...

Heavens, yes, thank you! Someone put it into words! I feel really bad for not being happy with the lineup so far but this is precisely why, no offense to any of the confirmed guests but I have literally only heard of about two of them. This is only my second SM event, as I only arrived in the area last year. This May was absolutely amazing, I only had one week's notice before the event so I didn't have the money for photoshoots or autographs but I was still fortunate enough to wander into Alfie Enoch and Paul McGann, and was perfectly happy to just walk around and admire everybody else from afar. I easily spent a whole afternoon just wandering around the stadium smiling like an idiot and went home having had a wonderful day and it was mainly due to the amazing guests (Tony Todd, anyone???). I've essentially had six months to prepare for this event, thinking if it was that good before it must be again... ever since the dates were made public I've been checking the site every day to see if anyone new has been announced. I honestly mean no offense to the announced guests so far but after all that and being so close to the event now, I really can't help but hope that the next announcement is a name that makes me excitedly squeal like a little girl. Really, if there's not at least one name per event that makes you fangirl helplessly, you're not conventioning right.

LFCC has just ended so hopefully we may have more big names announced in the coming weeks.
