  1. Essentially any guest can sell out prior to an event.
  2. There's a similar thread running about under 4s in photo shoots which has said As a 4 year old requires an entry ticket I would say they'd also need a formal ticket to attend a talk.
  3. Mat's a great guest and so interesting when talking about the model work throughout the years.

I prefer: "While we're in the mood, cockroaches and custard"!" - it was the mid-1800s after all ;-)

Personally, and speaking now entering my eleventh year of attending shows either as a visitor or (in the case of craft shows) having worked them as a stall holder, I always advocate bringing your own because that way you're not disappointed either by price or selection. Thinks like cereal bars are also good though to bring with you.
  6. In addition to the answers given, I don't think the layout is especially good. The stalls at the front don't have much of a passageway between them and it can take a really long time to get past these, especially as they fill up with shoppers and browsers. If you plan on leaving the hall for some fresh air, add 10 minutes onto your expecting walking time to reach the back of the hall for photos/autographs. It's not difficult to navigate, just time consuming. Different venue this year so layout may vary. (I've only done London and Sheffield so far and they were completely different.)
  7. There's usually several that go on - last year they were in one of the pubs just outside Earls Court station; presumably will be the ones opposite Olympia this year. There is also a non-official (ie non-SM) FB group for meet-ups as well.
  8. Are you going to be going to the Bournemouth one in August?
  9. Five is absolutely nothing and you'll get them done like a piece of cake. The photo schedule is usually posted about 7 - 14 days before the actual event so you can check times then and if you do find you have a clash between the ones you have booked speak to the crew at the photoshoot area on the day and they'll help speed you through one so you can get to the other.
  10. There are normally a lot more £10 than at present but the event is still three months away so still plenty of time. At the end of the day though it depends how you view these. Last year the bonus was a goody bag and a pack of various pre-signed guest photos depending on your interest. This year they're doing that part different. For me the main thing is the queue jumping :-)
  11. I've had to read the entire text but it means that you will get two autographs and two photoshoots that are charging £10 each. You will not get £10 taken off a price for a guest that is higher than £10. So for Emily you will still need to pay £25 and Neve £35.
  12. And MJF is the third announced for this show so far (Christopher Lloyd and Robert Englund being the others).
  13. I hadn't realised you were coming over? How did I miss this? We'll have to meet up and say hi at some point! I don't think I definitely mentioned it before. I'm at Sherlocked as well. Now we've had the big announcement I need to look at the piggy bank and check if Sherlocked is do-able as will only be coming down for Una and possibly Rupert.
  14. I hadn't realised you were coming over? How did I miss this? We'll have to meet up and say hi at some point!
  15. Am I the only one who's never seen him outside of The Librarian?
  16. You're at the front of the queue when the doors open at 9.00am. Regular ticket holders are then let in once the Gold Pass queue are in. As Wrong Name has said your ticket is exchanged for a wrist band in the queue (assuming you arrive before opening time). If you arrive after it opens you just need to go to the ticket/organisers desk inside the event.
  17. Fair enough. Personally for me, i would only be paying for an autograph in person if its personalised. I have previously passed up meeting Stan Lee (i was one of the first in his queue last LFCC on the opeing Friday morning) and Billie Piper as they were not personalising. My choice as you say to simply walk away. Then again, if i purchased the diamond package as i only want a personalised autograph, which you cant guaratee, can i get a refund if they choose not to personalise. Or will the description state on the diamond package "In person autograph -No Personalisations! Read the T&Cs - tickets non-refundable/non-exchangeable.
  18. No worries and I've also edited my post slightly to read better I don't have access to it at all (I have spent literally all weekend restoring my laptop back to when I bought it back in 2010 with the subsequent downloading/installation of five years of Windows updates!) but remember the nightmare I was dreading which proved not so bad.
  19. It depended on the guest whether there were split shoots as there was at least one I had booked was a single slot (and 5 minutes in length). MatMego - personally I would getting there for as close to opening time as you can because show opening times are Friday 1pm to 8pm Saturday 9am to 6pm Sunday 9am to 6pm So would expect activities to be taking place at any time during those hours. After all, the worse that can happen if you get there early is that you have plenty more time to wander round and not feel rushed. (I took OH to Sheffield last year and we were there from about 8.30am and the photoshoot I had booked for the pair of us as his pressie literally was the last of the day.)
  20. Personally I doubt this would be do-able. I don't know about Jason et al but I personally would feel very uncomfortable trying to get a guest to confirm in advance of the event as to whether or not they will be personalising given, as has been said above, there can be a myriad of reasons why a guest may not personalise. For example, Stan Lee last year wasn't but then he got through a heck of a lot of autographs especially for someone of his age. If it had been a pre-requesite for all of those to have been personalised then there would have been a lot less autographs and a lot more disgruntled attendees. Also, what would happen in the case of say SM had announced James Marsters and he'd be personalising then as has been mentioned he injured his wrist so wasn't personalising. Again there'd be disgruntled attendees. I personally am going for a guest's autograph. If they decide to personalise it by whatever shape or form then that's fine by me. If they don't then that's also fine as I've got their autograph.
  21. Well here's a link to the webpage about them http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-8712-ibis-styles-london-excel/index.shtml
  22. I know it's Jabba the Hutt - he's big, never done a con before and his size must be putting a strain on his heart so appearances must be difficult.
  23. The other thing about card machines (and I remember this being posted by someone last year) - you need to check whether they're UK or non-UK traders when they process the transaction because you can also have conversion fees to pay in addition to what you're spending. For instance, SLFCC14 had a Dutch couple selling film posters so there'd have been fees there for card payments.
