  1. Never met Milo, but TJ Thyne would have given him a run for his money. The guy was amazing with everyone, brought gifts for fans getting autos and just came across as being genuinely chuffed to have been invited. I hope I get to meet him again at another con
  2. Thanks, I thought it should be about now. Will keep an eye out
  3. Any kind of rough idea when the photo shoot timetable will be available?
  4. To be fair, I checked the home page at londonfilmandcomiccon.com first thing this morning (before 9am), and the info was on there in bright red that tickets would be available on the day, and the prices. It may not have been a reply on the forum, but they are publicising the info.
  5. another 80's guest for us Ant.... i'm getting pooooooooooor I like this line up better than the summer one Have you seen this little gem of an 80's film he was in with Charlie Sheen and Kerri Green? Three for The Road http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjhCD1fEhHY I'm amazingly excited about the 80's guests... I already have shoots with Ralph, Catherine and Lance... plus another four... I am also getting poor Chloe!
  6. And I now have a rehearsal that I have to dash back to on the Saturday evening Well, I suppose it'll have to be walking around in a very conspicuous t-shirt (TBA) and people can say hi if they want to!
  7. If there are people that cannot make it on the Friday night, I am sure something can be arranged for the Saturday
  8. I don't know if this is a 'thing' but is there any interest in those of us here on the forum to want to arrange to meet and say hi IRL on either day? I am only going on Saturday, but would be happy to say hello to a few of the faces behind the names on here. After all, we share many of the same fandoms, and have healthy conversations about them through the medium of t'interweb. Any takers?
  9. Got my earlybird entry for Saturday, and the following: Chris Barrie - 1 Lance Guest - 4 Catherine Mary Stewart - 5 (shame she had to cancel ) Ariana Richards - 6 Ralph Macchio - 14 Katee Sackhoff - 28 Billy Boyd - TBC Who knows who else, depending on announcements! Think that's it for me!
  10. Alan Tudyk Morena Baccarin Olivia Thirlby Ellen Page Breckin Meyer Jay Baruchel Kristin Bell Tricia Helfer Mia Kirschner Tony Curran Jaime Murray Grant Bowler Colin Ferguson Any or all of the above!
  11. I bought my Saturday Early Bird, with photoshoots with Ralph Macchio, Chris Barrie and Lance Guest. Love Red Dwarf, The Last Starfighter is up there as one of my favourite 80's feel-good sci-fi films (much like Flight of the Navigator), and who wouldn't want to meet The Karate Kid? Think I am going to grab Catherine Mary Stewart too... I live quite close so its easier for me to get along than some, and I didn't really get a chance to look at all the stalls at LFCC14 so hopefully will get a better look this time around. There always seems to be something that catches my eye. Also, if it's the last SM event at Earl's Court, it would be kinda nice to go, just to see it off.
  12. And how many of these special packages will there be for each guest? 200? 300? Some guests don't sign much more than that each day anyway, add in the normal gold passes and your normal entry person wanting a VT is being priced out of standing a chance to get the big guests. I'm not saying don't do it, just have concerns about how it will work in practice and the knock on effect to your average punter. This weekend it was pretty much like that for Stan. Don't have a gold pass then you don't stand much, if any chance of meeting him. Hate to contradict, but I had a standard pass for Friday and an Early Bird ticket on the Saturday. I managed to get an autograph from Stan on the Friday (thanks to the red shirt at Brompton Hall pointing me to the right place to queue, and being there at 4.30pm) and got a photo with him on Saturday, which I had pre-booked. No issues in either instance due to not having a Gold Pass...
  13. The girl organising the queue outside Brompton Hall on Friday just before 6, really bubbly, did a great job! Would love to say thank you. Also the girl ripping tickets at Photo Area D for Michael Biehn had a really cute smile... Anyone?
  14. Posted elsewhere but just to repeat: I'd like to jump in on this and say that I also had a pretty good experience this weekend. I booked tickets for Friday and early bird Saturday. Friday I arrived at 4.15pm, went over to Brompton Hall and asked one of the Red Shirts if Stan would be signing again that afternoon before his photoshoot. They were extremely helpful in letting me know that he would, and where I should queue. By virtue of this, I ended up being sixth in the queue on the regular side. Throughout the wait to get in, the volunteers were up and down the queue, checking on people and making sure everyone was in the right place. When the doors opened at 6 we were straight in, up to the signing area and allocated a VT. Mine ended up being number 12. Within 5 minutes of getting my VT I was in the signing booth, having paid and lined up for my autograph. Stan arrived at about 6.30, and I was out of the booth and on my way into EC2 by 6.45. I managed to get in quite easily with my stamp, and even after finding out Pedro Pascal and Natalie Dormer had cancelled, I was able to get into the ticket lines and down to the desk in about 20 minutes, able to pick two other guests for Saturday as replacements and get reasonably low numbers (33 & 99) Managed to get around on Friday and get my only shoot for the evening with Jamie Bamber (awesome guest! Stopped to chat to everyone, and was very gracious after the photo was taken) Success! Saturday had it's problems. There is no denying that. Yes it was stiflingly hot, and manically busy. My friend and I arrived at 8.50am at Earl's Court tube and were directed around to the right of EC1 to find the end of the queue for pre booked tickets. By the time we found the actual end of the queue, it had reached the gates opposite West Brompton tube and started coming back on itself. We joined the end, and prepared for a bit of a wait. (Not as much as for those without tickets who were queued around the front of EC1 and all the way around the building to EC2) The queue, despite its length moved reasonably quickly once the event opened and we found ourselves inside by 10.05. I was slightly peeved that I had missed the early shoots for Michael Biehn and Summer Glau, but as they had later shoots, I wasn't worried too much. Not making the shoots gave me a chance to browse through the stalls again and show my friend (whose first con this was) what it was all about. We queued early for Stan Lee's photos at 12, got into the queue in good time, helped by the Blue Shirt with the glasses mentioned in another thread who was awesome, and got through to meet The Man and out by 12.45 on ticket number 253, so that was great. Same deal for Summer's shoot at 2pm which was again dealt with really well, despite both being at Photo Booth A and having tens of people for the YALC talks walking through the photo queue (barriers?) We left for lunch, with no problem leaving the building and getting stamped, and again no problems on our return getting in, although I did feel for the hordes still queuing down as far as the entrance to EC1 to get into the show. Managed to get a good look at some dealers, bought some cool stuff, had a great chat with the guys form Pencil Pirates, James from Purple Monkey and the guys selling Cake in a Jar. I had three photo shoots late on - TJ Thyne, Michael Biehn and Dina Meyer - who all started quite close. Luckily Michael and TJ were in D and F respectively, being the two closest together time wise, and the volunteers managed to get everyone through very smoothly, even in the absence of a formal queue for TJ's shoot - he was also an awesome guest and should definitely be invited back. My dash through the thinning crowd to Dina's shoot at E wasn't too bad and being told the shoot was running late was actually a god send as it gave me time to 'cool' down before going in. She was lovely and even though the shoot ran past 6pm, she was extremely chipper and still found time to greet everyone and say thank you after. The volunteers here were also pretty good trying to make sure everyone got through when they were supposed to. The GoT screening was good, special guest notwithstanding, and the queuing outside, although slightly chaotic, wasnt overly terrible and the guy running the line did his level best to keep everyone onside. I won't say the day was perfect, but I can't complain about my experience overall, even though I couldn't get a phone signal for about a half hour at one point. I will be coming back, and have already pre-booked my early bird ticket for WLFCC Saturday and two photoshoots. Lessons to be learned? Sure. Let's see what happens at WLFCC.
  15. You really did Starbuck. But rather than beat yourself up over it, just make sure that the next con you go to where he is a guest, you get the photo ticket early!
  16. No gifts on Saturday, but he was amazing. Such a genuinely lovely guy. Very warm and welcoming and couldn't be nicer either before or after the photo. Would definitely see him again if he was rebooked.

  18. Stan will be at the event all three days But keep in mind that the event is only open between 6 and 9pm on Friday and Stans photoshoot is between 7:20 and 8:50. So realistically there's only going to be at most 1.5 hours signing time for him and I expect a lot of that will be gold and silver pass holders. Thanks guys, I'll give it a shot on the Friday, and just prepare myself for an early Saturday if not.
  19. Will Stan Lee be signing on all days? I have tickets for Friday and Saturday, but a very busy Saturday schedule already and it would be awesome to have the chance to get his autograph on Friday instead
