  1. I'm not sure what you mean by pre-order autos. You can only get autographs at the event, you cannot pre-order them in any way. Unless you aren't attending and want to buy an auto from a guest, which will be on the site somewhere, that is the only way to buy them.
  2. Brilliant announcement for Glasgow. Not an Elm Street fan, but delighted to see such a big name announced.
  3. Thank you for this. I think I will volunteer as a helper and maybe reconsider crewing. Your advice has been invaluable, etmuse!
  4. Can I ask, are the photoshoots and autos you are allowed to have paid for by SM? Volunteering for the whole day and only being allowed a limited number of photos/autos doesn't sound very appealing to me. What other benefits does crewing bring, as I'm thinking I might just go with the helper option - crewing sounds a bit extreme!
  5. Thank you. I'm expecting it to be difficult but rewarding!
  6. Hi everyone, I was just looking for some advice from people who have had experience crewing with Showmasters or at similar events. I'm hoping to become a crew member at this year's Glasgow Film and Comic Con with my friend, and it looks pretty fun and would be great experience! I'm looking for some pointers from people who have done this before - what kind of stuff do you do, what's it like, what skills do you need and most importantly, whether or not you would recommend it. I think it would be great to do, but please be honest. I know it will be difficult, but that's to be expected! Thanks for anything you can provide. Jakers.
  7. If it's Natalie Dormer I am buying ALL the photoshoots.
  8. Any Game of Thrones guests are very welcome, especially exclusives who aren't attending London. (Burn Gorman and Julian Glover last year were fantastic). Kristian Nairn and Finn Jones are regulars at SM events and I would love to see them return to Glasgow. Any Scottish natives like Kate Dickie, James Cosmo, Richard Madden etc. would be wonderful to meet. Bigger names would be even more welcome, and would attract a bigger audience. Unlikely I know, but Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Natalie Dormer and the like would be top-tier dream guests. I met Ian Beattie last year at LFCC and he was an amazing guest. He would be great for Glasgow. Again, unlikely, but Jason Moama would be another incredible guest. Thomas Wlaschiha (Jaqn H'gar) hasn't done any signings to my knowledge, so he would be great to meet. Carice Van Houten has been announced for LFCC among other SM events, so she would be a very welcome addition to the Glasgow lineup. Even minor actors and actresses would be really interesting to meet. Behind the scenes cast and crew would be interesting to have as well. Of course there are more, but I won't go any further. Last thing, Breaking Bad guests are relatively rare, so some of them would be great.
  9. I would be willing to sell my soul to meet Natalie.
  10. The lineup for LFCC this year looks incredible and I am very excited about it. Only problem is, there's a slight chance I won't be able to go, so I'm reluctant to buy any photoshoots in advance. I am a bit worried that they might run out before I know for sure if I can go, so can anyone advise me on whether this is likely? I specifically want a photoshoot with the wonderful Carice Van Houten and possibly a few other Thrones guests. Thanks for any advice or information.
  11. Amazing announcement!! Very, very happy with this, thank you so much SM! Always wanted to meet her!
  12. Not 100% sure if I will make it to this one, but I intend to buy: Entry for 2 for at least 2 days Charles Dance photo and auto Natalia Tena photo and auto Iain Glen photo and auto David Bradley auto Train tickets from Glasgow Overnight accomodation Sounds like an expensive trip!
  13. One of the mods will tell you this, but there is a thread for guest suggestions that you should post this in - they kind of just ignore or lock down floating posts like this
  14. I wish I had the budget for a diamond pass, it's a shame I won't get to meet him Oh well, for those who manage to grab one, enjoy!
  15. There is food available at the venue, but it's not exactly gourmet and costs a mint. I would recommend bringing your own food in a backpack or something, it saves a lot of time and money and will probably be better as well! I think storage facilities cost a bit to use, but they are available.
  16. Just recently watched some of my old WWE DVDs, and was thinking how amazing it would be if some of those guys were announced. You already have Rey Mysterio, which is fantastic, but Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Steve Austin, John Cena... it would be great! Even (I can hope).... The Rock?
  17. Great guest announcement! Too expensive for me, but this will make a lot of BTTF fans very happy! Does Showmasters have any more plans for 'massive' guests like this or is that confidential?
  18. Friday tends to be the quietest day out of all three, but I can make no promises. It really just depends on how many people turn up, and as many people in the thread have said, that's impossible to predict. I wouldn't imagine you would have a problem getting any autograph you wanted if you were prepared and got in early enough, especially if she was VQ'd.
  19. So I know Saturday will be a pre-bought only entry kind of deal, and there will be no showing up on the door. I have some questions: 1) When are Saturday's tickets likely to sell out? I'm not sure if I can go or not yet, but wouldn't like to miss out on the Saturday if I could. 2) Are Friday and Sunday still pay-on-the-door or do you need to pre-book them as well? 3) How many tickets are avaliable in total for each day? Thanks for any info. Jakers.
  20. Will be meeting Finn for the third time! Lovely guy, and a great announcement :)
