Wrong Name

From what I've seen it depends on how quickly the tickets sell. After a guest is announced they might have hundreds of tickets left yet suddenly hundreds of people may decide at roughly the same time to buy them so SM don't really get a chance to let us know. If they can I imagine SM would lput a post on here.

Saying the guest isn't for you is one thing, but there are people talking about the latest guest announcement who are saying that the guest is that big and isn't anyone special and that's not really needed.

I'm not a fan of your comment here, but I'm happy for people that are! Just kidding, I 100% agree. We know that not all guests will be for all people, there's no need to post about it.

When SM say that this is a first time guest, I think they mean first time at an SM show, not first time at any con, and that this will be the only European con they do this year, not ever. Edit: Although saying that, it could be the case but it's not what I took from what they have written.

Big name guest - yes. Diamond guest - not sure, could go either way.

SM like to tease and get everyone excited over the bigger announcements. I for one enjoy the guessing game everyone plays before they announce it, especially when there's a clue.

Both the first post here and the SM Facebook page Refer to 'a' guest. When they say 'them' it is most likely to hide the gender of the guest.

Sounds like a nice idea, but you might have a hard time getting much more than a small quote or 'best wishes' from a lot of the guests. They're all expecting to be signing rather than writing jokes so won't really have anything prepared. Also remember that some guest don't personalise so you wouldn't get anything from them.

They still do, just not every time. Who knows, when the guest is announced maybe we'll see that there was a clue in the message that we haven't noticed? Or maybe someone already has and we've dismissed it!?

Agreed, I'd love to meet Ron. I'm a big fan of a lot of his work including Alien Resurrection, Hellboy, Pacific Rim and Sons of Anarchy.

Last year they didn't really give any hints as to who they were going to announce. It's nice that they have with some this year but don't always count on it. They usually use the term 'Them' when saying that they will announce someone soon so they don't give away the gender of the guest and makes the guessing harder!

I think that's the point of the Diamond tickets, to avoid what happened with Stan Lee last year. What I mean is, you'll only get to meet him via a diamond ticket. Might seem unfair to some but last year was just insane Hmmmmm, there was a post only on Facebook about something coming this Sunday related to BTTF, if we don't see anything today this means, the Monday big guest would be "it". Then again I do agree MJ Fox would definitely be a diamond guest, not a "big guest". To me a big guest would have nothing to do with BTTF, so it's either gonna be our first diamond guest as MJ Fox.... And that would be just awesome.... Or someone from another universe, .... Hmmmm big guest, to me Ron Perlman would fell into that category..... And that would be awesome as well.... In any case, can't wait... I'm pretty sure the post on Facebook is about raising money for the MJF Foundation and that announcement hasn't happened yet. Sunday's not over yet! Also I believe (although I was not there) that Ron Perlman has been to a past Showmasters event so he wouldn't be a first timer.

When they first announced the Return To The Future at LFCC, they said "Showmasters will also announce the Film and Comic Con Community Champion who raised the most money for The Michael J. Fox Foundation through Showmasters & Team Fox." Judging by what they said on Facebook I'm pretty certain the announcement will be about this. Edit: And unless they specify a time, it could be any time!

Might seem unfair to some but last year was just insane They did say when they first announced the tickets that for some of the Diamond guests this might be the case so I'd imagine if MJF was announced he's be Diamond only. Although saying that it really is down to the guest and their team for them to decide what they think the they are capable of. This was the case with Stan Lee last year. Showmasters didn't demand he do things, it was his team who agreed to everything and they should have known better.

I'm a big JP fan too. Ariana was at LFCCW in October last year. It was great to meet her and I'd brought along some green jelly on spoons that we held for a photo. More Jurassic Park people please SM!

I had my Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson tickets that I ordered in December through about a week ago. I think they're working through a lot of backlog from Christmas so I wouldn't be worried.

I had an issue with main LFCC website this morning but it's fine now. The forum has been fine all day.
