  1. Can somebody please help me!. :) I'd ordered a large Shining photograph of the twins from MovieMarket, but it has just arrived and is a grainy horrible blob. Where you can barely work out who they are!. Agh!. Has anybody else found a supplier that has great photographs of them?. I want ideally it to be bigger than 10 x 8, and of awesome quality?. Can anybody confirm that they'll be on sale at the show?.
  2. With the lack of any further information updates, when the line-up has been static for quite some time. Is this seemingly leaning to suggest that further guests should be expected?. There seems an odd delay / reluctance in getting routine information out.
  3. Wouldn't that be a little silly though, as the signer is clearly to tempt people to buy weekend tickets?.
  4. If the date for tickets is the 16, is there any chance we can have the name of the free signer in the next 6 days?
  5. Can we know who the free signer will be, before the event starts? I'm sure weekend tickets will rise if you tell us who it is.
  6. David Scott surly has to be in the running for Autographica 21, isn't he? That or we bring out one of the big guns! (Young...etc)
  7. Whilst I understand that there is interest on other forums, there is a distinct lack of posting here (little over 100 posts so far). It seems crazy to even consider an event on the scale of Excel.
  8. All this talk of queues. I've never really seen any at an Autographica show?
  9. Forgive me for asking a stupid question, but what actually is a Cosplay 'Star'.
  10. Even at £250 the experience was blink and you missed it. At £350 do you get over the desk photographs, and do the handlers ease up a little? That said, I did get a beautiful autograph for my collection.
  11. The weekend convention scene seems so unpredictable, and often a struggle to sell tickets. Whilst I hope that the weekend is a success, I can’t help but think that conducting market research and sounding out views on future plans would be beneficial. As I note that despite the fanfare, the response so far has been fairly lukewarm. Whereas there has been horror fans, and other franchises pleading throughout all the years that I’ve been reading these boards, with little or no response?. I still wish the weekend well.
  12. Isn't this an example of when 'job titles' get completely out of control.... I wouldn't be surprised if there's somebody 'head of making up job titles'.
  13. Dave if I was in 'Autographica Towers' I'd shake you by the hand. I knew when I wrote my guest suggestion a few weeks ago that my chances of success were so slim, and it would probably just land in the black hole with the rest of the endless guest requests here. But to see them now actually booked has made my day / week / year!, and restored my faith that you do read the boards and take an interest in what is written. This is epic beyond words. I'm so pleased, and so stoked!. Thank you from one extremely happy customer!.
  14. I always consider that when you see the 'Star Wars' peeps announced at this show, that's basically it. Maybe next time Helmut.
  15. I hope not, it kind of dominated the guest list this year.
  16. Could it possibly be that its taking longer to answer, because there is a bigger issue with his booking?
  17. I notice with delight that they've joined the 'circuit'. These seem perfect guests for Autographica. A classic movie!, and no doubt would bring a large horror crowd too. Please invite them Dave! :)
  18. Given that this question is taken so long to answer. Should I be worried that there's some bad news possibly coming soon?.
  19. I appreciate that, and I'm not trying to be awkward, or argumentative at all. 25% just seems a big leap. There must be a method around this 'cash' problem that works for everybody, both customers and staff. Without it, the next leap will be to £25 - and based on the same cycle that could be in as little as two-three years?. In my opinion its something that needs looking into, else this hobby is going to get increasingly expensive pretty quickly.
  20. But the currency in this country involves coins!. There are no other businesses I can think of that uses this as an excuse. It just seems a bit bonkers, when the banks will provide you with ample change if you order it in advance.
  21. Whilst I appreciate what you’re saying, there is potential for disagreement from some of your figures quoted, and also I’d point out that you also didn’t reduce prices when VAT was lowered. But let’s agree to disagree. Maybe the true figure if a increase is needed, and compromise would be to find a figure somewhere between 15 and 20, I never really did understand why ‘guest handlers’ can’t deal with change. I will acknowledge that your prices are lower than the other ‘arena’ show, and that they are rude to customers, and a rip-off. My comment is only that this hobby seems to be getting more expensive.
  22. But not by 25%!. It seems that £20 could soon be the norm if this trend continues.
  23. Whilst I love that the Star Wars people are £10 [at another event they're all £15. Booo!], some of the others seem to be creeping up a little. Lance Henriksen (last show) and Karan Allen were always £15, but now £20. That's a 25% increase . This is getting expensive.
  24. With two guests already announced, it would be shame not to turn this into something quite special? :)
  25. I think that a lot of the guests are managed by the same promoters as it's becoming quite a lucrative market, and so the deal is done between them. Its a bit like music festivals, its not as glamorous as you sometimes think it is. It's more who's available than, who you hand pick to attend.
