at the summer event, we had normal tickets for saturday , and was in by 1115 ,after arriving at 1050. The sunday early birds the following day in got us in by 920, after arriving at 840. Tomorrow should be quieter. I'm arriving at 935 and expecting be in around 10ish

Only just seen that CTH is coming. Any idea on wether he'll have Gettysburg images to sign as it's one of my fave films ever.

Shooting starts on Dads Army in 9 days, in Yorkshire.

Will the other events stay as they are ? IE winter LFCC, Sheffield, MK etc? Saturday this July ruined the whole weekend for me, making me contemplate only going on Friday's and Sunday's in future. With the changes to Friday looking good, I may do that , if the guests are worth it. Am I right that only the Saturday will be no buy on the day entry?

Is this price structure planned for all future LFCC events, IE the winter events from 2015 too, or just the busier summer event? What about MK,Sheffield etc?

I'm upset for me that it's Sunday only but also pleased for my bank balance that he isn't there on Saturday.

Cardiff or Milton keynes are smaller than London and closer than Sheffield. If you do go to London FCC , do the winter one or go for the Sunday if going in July

For me, Dirk was as big a name as Carrie Fisher. Infact , I'd rather have Dirk's auto etc than Carrie's. I paid for 4 Dirk autographs, and it was same as 1 Carrie one.

Really wasn't sure if I was up to going as still not feeling well, and in hindsight probably shouldn't have gone as even on the bus to get the train, I was feeling unwell. Had a few light headed moments during day too, but I got it done. Now I can rest up.

This convention is the way forward. Rather attend 6 smaller shows like yesterday than a big nightmare like LFCC 2014

It's not always to do with stars objecting in my experience, well maybe a very small minority for a good reason, eg Mickie James, Stan Lee. I've seen the same guest have a no posed pictures sign up one day, and posing happily the next. Ive heard celebs say they're not allowed to, but yet these same celebs are posing at other events. No posed pictures, in my experience of differently run events since 2009, is something that really only has happened to me at events at Stadium MK, EC2 and Olympia. Never been turned down anywhere else. But hey, that's probably 'cus SM get the better , bigger names. So you have to expect to pay for quality. You don't turn up at Harrods and complain they have no McDonalds food in their food hall. PS Celebrity Tardis shoots are £25 , I've been told earlier today

You mean like , for eg, Stan Lee and say a.n. other. ?

Out of interest, going by sales figures... if we did try to get there for just before 11, how big are you expecting queues to be? I'm still very fatigued, but over worst of original illness, touch wood. TBH I'd put both Dirk and JRD above quite a few of the people that have been put ahead of them. Even the Frazer Hines / k9 / John Leeson shoots would have been a good swap for me.

That short gap in the middle of the day will be where the photographer and all the crew working the photo area wolf down some lunch!John Rhys Davis has 10 min shoot at 1310. That could have been given to the bigger name with the 15 minute shoot, and John put later on, that's all I'm saying. But its immaterial as I'm still not feeling well enough to travel after my illness. Hopefully SM can get Dirk to another event.

I was thinking more of the 12-2 spaces, especially as he's only 15 mins too. Really looking forward to meeting him too, and now could not happen. Oh well, the last few days have put what's important in life in perspective.

I understand Sindel. It does seem very strange to both of us that a big name guest is put at the end of the day like that. For e.g. looking at where John Rhys Davis is for just 10 mins, there's space to have put Dirk's 15 minutes there instead and vice versa. But hey ho, I may not be there now anyway. Just recovering from attack of kidney stones. Not nice !!

I have booked train tickets that leave Sheffield before Dirks's Photoshoot. Do you think if I explain the situation on the day, me and my brother might get a posed picture instead. We are going to be buying autographs and already have paid for his Photoshoot too. Its really the only reason my brother is attending.
