  1. I am dreading to wait for the dates..let's hope it's in March or February (not January because of my work).
  2. This first convention is one of the greatest moment I ever had! Having fun with other Lost fans I knew for years but it was the first time I actually met them for real, talking about Lost for three days with people who know what you are talking about . To meet the actors was great but it was even greater to meet them as individuals (first time I saw Andrew for breakfast was 'OMG Mickhail is here, taking breakfast!" but the last day it was "Hi Andrew, so what's up?" ). I miss you all already! I'm dreading the dates for the next Lost convention because I so want to be able to go and join it again!
  3. Thanks to the crew for giving us a great moment and making it so special with all the little presents, the organization etc. It was nice to see you having fun too!
  4. Glad you made it back home fine to see your daughter So Bella! I wished it was the same for me but it happened to be much more complicated. Anyway, I'll in one piece and totally happy with the convention and every person I met there! I miss you all!
  5. I totally see where you're coming from ButterflyKate. I still think that it is fair to wait for clear explanations or answers and as far as I know it's not a prejudice to ask for clarification. No harm is done. And it's nice to share informations, therefore I'd prefer that it was about what is actually taking place, the events' planning and what is concrete. Not about every actors who was ALMOST able to come to the convention (it is rather frustrating lol), or who could come to the next convention. I appreciate the effort, it's nice of you Jason to take time to come and tell us about your frustration too but it's not a big confort. JMO. Just wanted to add that I am still looking forward to the event, especially now! I am not here to stir trouble, I only talk for myself, thanks for respecting that before ripping me apart. Those who are 100% happy with their lot are free of speech, why wouldn't we all be? Best regards, Mylene.
  6. Same thing. I'll keep it all, with the tickets and all the photos made and I'll do a scrapbook when I'll get back home. lmao Lyly.
  7. I think the jeans and a nice top is the best idea. That's probably what I will be wearing. I would love to wear heels with the jeans, but I'm a small girl and I am not used at wearing these kind of shoes unfortunately. My way to walk would look like I'm drunk LMAO. I don't know, for instance, watch Evi, she is not always wearing dresses at Cocktail but she is gorgeous:
  8. So Bella, I still don't know. I'm working in a huge clothes complex so I am observing what I could wear but I can't make my mind on what to buy! A nice dress would be great for the cocktail, though I'm not sure I'll be at ease. I like wearing femine stuff but I'm not used wearing dresses except for summer when I'm relaxed lol. So I still don't know and I'm not sure I have been a big help, sorry! lol
  9. You rock! Lmao! I voted for the first one.
  10. I totally agree with that, and for the recall, I don't consider I was arguing with anyone, I was just expressing myself and not accusing SM of anything. I'm shocked to read stuff like "those who are not 100% happy are not real fans". I am still going to the convention and thanks God I am still looking forward to it but one of the main reasons why I bought a ticket was because HIC was on the front page of Lockdown's website page. I think that in democracy everyone has a right to think for oneself and that's what I did and will always do no matter what, I think I did, in a diplomatic way. I think it's fair to think about my interest's as well and all this debate over the group photoshoot offered. That's the last time I'll talk about it here though. I just wanted to add that people like you crippsy_99 are being insulting and rude, calling people "stupid, fussy and whiney" and telling them to "shut up". If you had read better and weren't as much blind as you are you would have seen that the 'minority', as you call it, isn't there to stir trouble. Nothing is perfect and if you cannot stand to read different opinions than yours, then you may should not come to debate on a forum about a convention, where it's the natural place for people involved to speak their mind. I have been polite, so you should have been, JMHO. And, yes I am taking it personal because of the way you directed your post. I won't waste another post talking with YOU, feel reassured. nadatron, the same thing happened to one of my friend who bought a ticket for the convention, fortunately she will be able to come, even if for only one day and a half (on saturday and sunday as for her it's two days off). I hope you could find some kind of arrangements. :) Two weeks from now we are all going to this convention and meet actors who shared the Lost experience and it will be nice enough to talk about our passion about LOST for three days! Now I am looking forward for a planning for the events like a timetable maybe? or some further instructions about where to to go at what hour, people who are used to conventions to give tips about where to get the food and all these tiny details that makes the preparation to the event more exciting.
  11. You get used to it. And to be honest, I kinda expect people to be like that .. it's not just on here, it's in life really. The things that bug me the most are criticisms towards the organisers when things are out of their control. Some people simply don't consider what goes into these events, and how tricky they are. They think they can come on here, ask for exactly what they want, and assume they'll get it. Unfortunately it just doesn't work like that. But then you get conspiracy theories about the organisers doing fake announcements or trying to make as much money as possible .. because, you know, that's such an evil thing for a business to do anyway If people had a slightly more realistic view of these events and their organisation, not an idealistic one, then we'd probably all get on far better. I have to admitt that this being the first convention I was ever going to I didn't quite know the rule. Yet there's a difference between what the organizers prepare and things that happen out of their control (like the strike and HIC not being able to come). But here it's not being idealizing something or not, it's putting things into perspective, even though everyone's perspective is bound to be different from one to another. It is one thing to voice one's disappointement and another to stir trouble. For all I read until now, Sebastian voiced his disappointement (on his own sarcastic style) and the questions he had all the rights to ask JMO. You know, it's not about not being able to enjoy what you get but here it's not a philosophy class. You pay for a service, your expectations follow. I do NOT mean that SM conned us, but there's nothing wrong in expecting something equal to what we paid for (it's the way it goes usually in business). SM's gesture is nice and welcome but it's natural to wonder about what everyone is winning from it (otherwise it wouldn't be called a compensation). I hope I'm clear that all this won't ruin my enjoyment in coming though. I quoted the clauses of the Gold ticket above and it says 'ALL professional photoshoots' it doesn't specify if the group professional photoshoot is something entirely different or not. When you chose the word "All" in my book it means "Every" photoshoots. That's clear enough.
  12. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, a forum is a place for discussion and everyone is free to skip the posts they cannot stand rather than just attacking them IMO. It's clear enough IMO. All professional photoshoots means single and group sessions. So it's not necessarilly a compensatory privilege for the Gold Pass holders.
  13. Why, you cannot really reproach to people how they feel according to what they spent in money. All the good sides you told about the Gold Pass are not a free gift, people pay for it. And I understand what Sebastian is trying to convey: imagine you book for a first class seat on a plane, with champagne, large seats and so on and so forth. Other people booked for the second class, half less expensive but that finally the compagny offers the same avantage to the second class than for the first class, the first class passengers would feel busted. Everyone is going to the same place but people pay for these bonuses. I personally chose to try to be positive because I want to enjoy the event, but I totally see where Seb is coming from (and he has experience in these kind of events). The efforts SM is doing are nice but it may be not proportional to what the Gold Passes paid for. Anyway, King Steve's last post perfectly expressed how I feel.
  14. I am sorry but I am sooooo pissed! I can understand that the complications are not caused by SM and that they try their best, for us as well as for themselves. People coming here and saying that they didn't buy tickets and dare tellling those who did how they shoud or should not react are unbelievable! The same goes for talking about the next convention, it's not everyone who can afford on going every year and it doesn't make sense IMO to confort people with unsettled promises People have to understand that we are not all professionals of conventions, it will be the first time I'll go I admit without shame that I took the Gold pass because HIC was THE main guest of the convention. Was there another guest of his level in the show (a regular) I'd still be very happy. I learned the lesson not to jump on tickets next time. I want to say that if I'm pissed so much it's because I AM invested in this convention, the sum of money I am spending, the free time I worked hard to get in order to come and join the event and it's not only money (even though it doesn't fall from the sky for me), it's also that. I am optimist so I still go to the event to spend time with Lost fans and the actors who will come, but the price gets high. I can easily understand that what happened was out of SM's control, especially after the damn strike, and I am not blaming them, but I am pissed and that's the way it is.
  15. OMG I am on the same path Mary I'll be ruined before the convention, I tell you! I don't know yet how to dress for the characters party...I wondered, will the temperature be hot for the Hawaian party? Because otherwise, beginning of April in England might not be quite the same as the weather in Hawai.... I think that I'll come to the characters' party dressed as a character none will recognize! A red shirt!
  16. So let's sum it up... there's the Hawaian party : certainly a wide dress with big red flowers on it and a red flower in my hair (nice idea ). the cocktail party: omg I don't know what to wear , I'm not usually wearing this kind of stuff. For the rest I have no idea yet.
  17. It would be nice to get a planning for the event. Like approxiamtive hours to tend to the ceremony etc etc.
  18. Thanks for telling us. It's true that it is a little frustrating promising a better list for the next convention, because it's true that some of us (including me) don't know if they can afford it every year. But I am happy to come to this one and I count in ejoying it the best way I can. I cannot say I am surprised about the cast not being available after the return to the set due to post strike and I can totally understand it. But will we get the 6th guest nontheless?
  19. ITA. And I am counting on the fact that I'll meet nice Lost fans.
  20. I just bought my train tickets by Eurostar and I refuse to count how much I'm spending with this convention in euros
