  1. What about those who cannot print then? It is all very well and good having E-tickets, but you have to provide the option of postal as well for those who cannot print! There's nothing to stop there being dual options (post , eticket) and you can pick the option that suits you- then when it gets too close to the event you stop the postal option and leave only etickets. Though saying that if you don't have printer access then usually ya can get it printed at any workplace, or library, friends /family houses etc. There's even Mtickets that go straight to your mobile. Now they do cool things with etickets that can be printed before but can also be printed or reprinted on site at self-reg machines. We use them and they are really great and not too costly to implement at all. I know about all that! Just trying put across that for some people etickets and mtickets are not an option. And then there are people like me, who are old fashioned and love to keep the ticket stubs! Then a dual option would be nice compromise :) See, we can play nice can't we? LOL! Absolutely! anger only begets anger after all. Well I know I am calmer now, purely because we have appeared to stopped attacking each other now.
  2. I think it may be more because it was a duplicate thread though. A lot popping up, which it has the potential to descend into the same chaos as other threads.
  3. This is a great point. It certainly stopped the Stan line from progressing beyond 0-25 on Sunday... I also heard that the wristbands were supposed to be marked to show that the person had got a Stan auto, but that some devious so and so's were persuading staff not to mark them as they wanted to keep them as "collector items", so they were getting access to Stan again as a result! Hard to know when to separate the truth from rumours etc, but certainly too many passes were sold. From what I've read even Gold pass holders felt a little less special as a result... I think there has been a lot said over the weekend, which could be true or could be rumours and I think that is half the problem here right now. I have heard a range of things myself but whether they are true is beyond me and have chosen not to dwell on it!

  5. Dependent on threads. Most of the time it is usually just individual posts, but as you may have noticed, if it gets out of control, an entire thread could go.
  6. Ok, thanks for this. I'm not familiar with these rules. As a 100% non-smoker, seeing this happening made me see red a bit. Understandable.

  8. What about those who cannot print then? It is all very well and good having E-tickets, but you have to provide the option of postal as well for those who cannot print! That's true, you could have an option for physical tickets but then they would probably have to close those sales down early to ensure people got them in time thus the same problem potentially but from a different side. Other sites have this option, but remove the postal option at the relevant time.
  9. Smoking is forbidden inside, smoking e-cigs at the moment is not. It is something I believe that is being discussed by our government!

  11. He was fantastic to meet, very nice to my children and appreciated my comment how I loved him in Harry Potter, despite choosing a Doctor Who shot to be signed!
  12. Not sure what you are trying to achieve here by gloating in the way that you are. No one from showmasters told me no touching or no photos, it was definitely people from his team! So not quite sure what you think has been let out of Pandora's Box, cos honestly I was quite happy just to get an autograph, bein a photo and be acknowledged by him when I said thank you to him after each one!
  13. Wow at this as well! I don't think I attended the same convention as you did!
  14. The reason you were not first person to have their photo done is there are those who have passes for priority access, so they will always be first unless there are crew members having photos done as was explained to me yesterday! Even then, most of the bigger photo shoots I went to were calling in groups of numbers, for example 1-50, but it didn't mean whoever had number 1 was the first in line.
  15. That's the thing though, everyone in the early morning Stan Lee queues - Sunday especially - did everyhing they were supposed to do, and still most walked away empty handed. Sunday was no one's fault though! No could have known Stan was going to turn up late and then need a rest! Even then, from what I can gather, most people headed over to Stan's queue to get VT's around the same time, so even if you did everything right, there was no guarantee of a low VT number!
  16. I think I saw you about this weekend! Please don't ever feel guilty for needing extra help from the crew. They have put it in place to make sure people like you and my son are able enjoy the show with minimal problems! I don't think my son would have coped this weekend without all the fantastic help from the crew, especially like the pit boss on TJ Thyne's queue, who allowed us to move further up the queue to reduce our waiting time, something I never usually ask to do, but did as it was our final one of the weekend and my son was on the verge of a meltdown!
  17. I edited my comment just for you Nope I could never afford those passes!
  18. I am the first to complain at anything that annoys the hell out of me so please don't label me how you see fit. But if you spent that amount getting to London with no prepaid tickets, then sorry it is your fault. I have traveled to Cardiff from London twice now and made sure I prepaid tickets I needed as not to risk not getting in!
  19. Thank you for writing this David! I will admit I am arguing back because I am annoyed that I am being made to feel guilty for having an amazing time and for genuinely only having positive things to say about this weekend!
  20. Sorry to moan the way I did, but starting to feel like I am wrong to bring anything positive to these forums and being made to feel I should only have bad things to say. People forget that the positive stuff is just as important as it means Showmasters are more likely repeat or get a guest back and so on! Everyone has a different opinion and we should be allowed to have one, whether it is negative or positive so Showmasters can learn from all of it. No one should make out that their opinion is more important than someone else's because they are ALL important!
  21. How are we selfish? Because we had a good time, because we got in, because we can actually see the positive side of the event, because we didn't experience any of what you do did? I encountered only well mannered, polite and helpful staff! Queues are expected at any event like this. Overcrowding was to be expected too and it felt worse because of the way people just randomly stopped and not thinking about those trying to move past them. I am not selfish because I enjoyed myself, nor because I had minimal problems. I had to suffer my son have two major meltdowns in front of everyone, while attempting carry numerous bags, drinks and dealing with my daughter, while he ran off and I couldn't catch up to him but I am not blaming anyone else or calling them selfish for not helping me!! If anything it is you being selfish, by acting like a child who didn't get the toy they wanted for Christmas! I went with a stinking cold on Sunday and I was able to breathe just fine, thank you very much! No one is turning a blind eye to anything that happened, but we are sticking up for them because we actually managed to see all the positive things about this event, that people like you are turning a blind eye to! I shall be returning and I plan to again and again as they have provided me the opportunity to meet people I never would have otherwise and at a reasonable cost!
  22. AGREED!!!! Thank you Showmasters! Yeah and those who had negatives to only say keep on spoiling posts like this where someone just wants to mention the positive things, which Showmasters can take and use again next time! But god forbid anyone had a good time just because others had a bad time, so everyone must feel the same!
  23. Gosh..that almost sounds like Jason is blaming someone else for perhaps his own shortcomings and oversight of the situation.... Actually, and I don't how much crap I get for this, it is his team's fault! Jason asked THEM if Stan wanted to do all three days, all these signings and all these photos and all the extra ones added and THEY said yes. They could have and quite honestly should have said no! But they didn't! That is not Jason's or Showmasters' fault. They asked for extra due to the demand they got, they knew they may have said no, but they took that chance. His team still said yes! I commend Stan for doing as many autos as he could (which they were getting through very quickly when I got mine Saturday) and doing so many photos plus talks! I am not surprised he was tired come Sunday! It was obvious to me that Stan truly values his fans and did the best he could to meet every one who turned up to meet him!
  24. Great to see more people who had a great time! I started a positive comments thread somewhere on here in response to the negative ones! It is great to see the positive comments being made about anything from the con this weekend! I know I had a fab time!
  25. Yes, they did have gold pass access. I had a different pass but when moved to the front of queue for photos, I was stood with mainly gold pass holders.
