  1. I got into the BSG talk after it started, just sat in the Gold area (yes, had a pass) and started taking photos as normal. You can see a selection here https://picasaweb.google.com/howard.crowe/LondonFilmComicCon2014# No one told me to stop and only afterwards did a friend say she'd been told to stop. She went to speak to a senior crew member who spoke with the person who had told her. Seems there had been miscommunication and different crew had been told different things. Seems to be a common thing at this event. Anyway, I believe it was all resolved for future talks though I didn't get to any more in that hall.
  2. Just uploaded what I consider the best of the ones I took. Not as many as usual, mostly due to hours queuing for various people rather than wandering round. https://picasaweb.google.com/howard.crowe/LondonFilmComicCon2014 You can find previous years and other stuff there too. Couple of examples: David Hewlett Stephanie Leonidas Edward James Olmos Terry Farrell
  3. I had 10 shoots over the weekend with Gold pass and it all worked exactly as it should from my pov. If you're there before the start you queue up first and if you turn up after the start they slot you in somewhere near the front of the already moving queue. All worked fine.
  4. She was the last person I met towards the end of Sunday. Bit of a whim and based on the recommendation of a friend. Blown away with how lovely and chatty she was. Fabulously gorgeous and really sweet. Seemed to genuinely love being there and talking with everyone. Here's a lovely photo I took.
  5. Kinda have to agree. As usual it really helped me get things done and ease the stress of queuing as I'm especially subject to that at the moment but with so many sold it doesn't have the exclusivity and I've said it before but the "pack" you get isn't really worth it. Went through the autographs and even my friends didn't know who most of them were. With thevent getting so big and so much to do, even being able to have the paid talks included isn't as useful as it was. I only got to two talks, one of which was paid and the other I had to leave half way through for a photoshoot in the other building. Would much rather have some vouchers to put towards a photoshoot or autograph or something like that, maybe a discount for the food areas (Although I appreciate these are run by the venue). Something that ads actual useful value and keep the number sold lower.
  6. Only went to one talk in the Super Stage, the Star Trek one this morning (Sunday) and only about half of that as had to get to a photoshoot in the other hall. Was sat on front row and the sound was indeed appalling. Not directed properly and echoing all over the place. I could barely make out what anyone was saying and clearly the guests were struggling to understand the questions from what I saw. The seats they were on looked rather uncomfortable too. The main stage wasn't much better being right near the entrance with the guests having to complete with the sound of hordes of people coming and going and hanging round the stalls etc. Just put it near the back somewhere away from the main crowded areas. Thoroughly enjoyed the two talks I was able to find time to get to despite these issues.
  7. To be fair she didn't leave them in the lurch, she had a photoshoot to start and if that didn't happen, the schedule for the rest of the day would slip. She could have gone straight to that and not done any signing first. Anyway, I eventually met her around 2pm and was thrilled she was personalising and she even did a lovely dedication on the special photo I'd bought for the event writing "My Hero!" which I'm more than happy with
  8. Keep in mind Stan has a photoshoot on Sunday from 12 to 2. He then has a talk at 4 and another photoshoot straight after until the end of the day. If you haven't seen him by 11:30 I suspect based on today that you won't.
  9. They closed the queue while it was showing 1-400 this afternoon. Lots of people not at all happy and one of my friends was pretty sure he saw people with much higher numbers being let in though obviously don't know if there were special circumstances for that.
  10. Very busy but was taking her time so the queue moved slowly. Personalising if you wanted it and time to exchange a few words. Very nice in the photoshoot putting her arm around you and getting close but also had her dog with her which may be an issue if you don't like dogs but I'm very happy with the experience.
  11. Capacity is something like 10k, really don't see it happening! Really? Personally I wouldn't be at all surprised given how busy Saturday was last year and what's expected this year with the huge lineup etc.
  12. No. We were specifically told no touching, no hugs, just stand close to him.
  13. Thrilled I managed to get in to this early session despite not getting here until after 3:30. One of the last through. Yes it was quick but well controlled and I got to exchange a few words with him. Can't ask for more.
  14. No. You can't take anything in with you other than any prop you might want to ask to use. Cameras are a definite no. If you want a digital copy you can buy one online at some point after the show when everything has been uploaded.
  15. The number on your ticket determines when you'll be called through. They work on approximately 100 every 15mins or so. Tickets will be called in batches like 1-50 then 1-100 etc. You join the queue any time after your number has been called. So if you have number 210 you'd go through approx 30mins after the shoot starts and when the crew call 1-250 etc.
  16. There are no autograph timings. Most guests will be there from when or just after doors open and will be signing all day apart from breaks, lunch, photoshoots and talks.
  17. Not saying many won't but just to be aware of any signs before you ask as it can make things a bit awkward for the guest, crew member and you.
  18. Most will let you take a pic, just ask But do be aware of and respect any signs up that say "no posed photos", "no flash" or even "no photos". These will usually be stuck up on the board behind the guest.
  19. All the ones I've ever picked up are gloss. Never had any issues.
  20. Pity he's not doing one but knowing my luck it'd probably clash with something else :)
  21. Not sure which day you're looking at but Saturday - 3 1/2 hours = 1,600 Sunday - 3 1/4 hours = 1,300 You know thinking on it now I do feel sorry for the guests (Stan Lee especially) as their eyeballs must be shattered with the amount of camera flash they're going to be subjected to. Keep in mind these are only rough figures. They only sell as many tickets as they know they can get through. if you have a ticket you'll get a photo. As to the flash, it's diffused studio flash and isn't all that noticable really. I'm sure it does become a strain after a while but it's really nothing like a normal on-camera flash going off a lot.
  22. 5-10mins before the start time is more than early is enough. If anyone is already queuing, you'll just be put behind whoever is currently the last gold pass holder. But they only start to queue people a few mins before the shoot is due to start so if you're 15-20mins early chances are the previous shoot will still be going and you'll just be standing around aimlessly waiting.
  23. There aren't two queues, or at least there haven't been before. Golds are called first and start the queue and then tickets are called in numbered batches and those people just extend the queue behind the golds. There's just one queue but the first few people in it will be golds. Then if a gold pass holder turns up after the shoot has started, the crew will usually walk them to near the front of the moving queue and insert them in there. Which sometimes annoys the person behind.
