  1. Completely agree with the Members above re: Stan Lee's welfare and individual needs (i.e., advanced age). This is something which SM should have considered in establishing Autograph, Photograph, and Talk sessions before the event itself. Placing a realistic cap on the number of Photograph and Talk sessions, and placing a further cap on the number of Autographs that can be realistically signed per day (e.g., limiting VQ tickets to no more than 400 per day, outside of those carrying Gold/Comic/Silver passes) was needed. This should have been advertised clearly before the event as a caveat to Stan Lee's appearance. At least we'd all be grounded in a realistic expectation and Stan Lee would have been able to take it more easily. I feel a tremendous amount of guilt for the way in which Stan Lee was treated and extend my sincere apologies to the man himself.
  2. Forgot to add how brilliant my fellow attendees were. From the two Norwegian girls waiting in the David Hewlett queue on Friday night, to the guy that was going on a breakfast run for his group and asked if I wanted anything too. Just wanted to say 'Hi!' again to you all again, hope you enjoyed yourselves, and that people like you make these events.
  3. I agree that it was complete Bedlam today, but some highlights for myself over the Friday and Saturday were: Edward James Olmos - an absolute STAR! He took the time to shake my hand, ask me where I was from (Wilts.) and how I was finding London, and personalised my BSG 75 Watch Log with '"Sometimes you've got to roll the hard six ... So say we all!" - Admiral Adama' He's been someone whom I've wanted to meet for a long time and I couldn't have been happier! David Hewlett -another brilliant guy! Handshakes, smiles, talking about the possibility of a sequel to A Dog's Breakfast. He happily signed my Stargate Atlantis canvas (which is a dead give-away to identifying me at a Con!) and was warm and funny. Stan Lee - I was fortunate to say hello to the True Believer himself on Friday at the early signing and again this morning. All I can say is that for a 91 year old he has great deal of endurance and is being put through the ringer with demands for autographs, photographic shoots, talks, and award ceremonies. I got to say a few words to him on the Friday, but this morning it was a rush to get through the autographs and he seemed genuinely sorry that he wasn't able to speak with his fans more. Just a shame that by 10:35hrs. this morning EC2 was rammed and the prospect of meeting John Hurt just wasn't a strong enough incentive to battle the 'one out, one in' policy. Definitely an over-sold event, but for me it was worth queuing from 05:30hrs. What were the moments which made Bedlam bearable for everyone else? EDIT: Forgot to say, what was Casper Van Dien taking on Friday night!?! He was like a one-man comedy show with his "Bang, pow, thwack!" shouts and banging the desk. Saw Jamie Bamber visibly jump the first couple of times he hit the desk : )
  4. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger fire the phaser on this one, but knowing the indivdual autograph and talk prices etc. will determine which ticket I can afford; any ideas as to when these prices will be announced?
  5. Clearly I need to perfect the art of stalking John Noble Sticking with Fringe (and Sherlock Holmes) what about Jared Harris? Now this Machiavellian mastermind I'd like to meet
  6. Personally, I'm hoping for a Fringe star - please be John Noble; I wanna get my Walternate on!
  7. Christopher Heyerdahl ticks all the boxes: SG-1, SGA, and Sanctuary, so he's really a must-meet-at-all-costs for me, just like Amanda
  8. A top lady - really engaging, smiley, and what a sexy voice - plus, she must be a Ramones fan judging by her t-shirt
  9. I bought a few 8x10s (prefer the matt finish to the gloss, as finger prints don't show up), a Dr. Who Silent micro figure for £2, and a 10th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver for £14-99. I also got the last 11th Doctor's Diary (the counterpart to the River Song Diary, with the metal Gallifreyan symbol on the front) on Saturday - apologies to the 11th Doctor who was going to buy one, but they'll be back
  10. I just had to go back and get another autograph after his talk! It's really good to know that Joe's up for the Nathan Drake role in the Uncharted movie, and I really enjoyed the hi-larious anecdotes about having to be escorted to his Hotel's reception in Italy after he went in with his temporary tattoo and 'bloodied' knuckles from filming. I think I'll never forget the prank he told us - poor David Hewlett
  11. I was fortunate enough to be the 2nd/3rd person in to see David in the morning, and what an outstanding guy! He asked me about a couple of the things I brought along (my Sonic Screwdriver print and prop replica Journal of Impossible Things), and shook my hand. I went back about 40 minutes before his first photo-shoot, and he signed my TARDIS/10th Doctor birthday, and said Happy Birthday! In sum, David Tennant is (and always has been) an absolute treasure; I really hope that he comes back to a SM's event in the future - words can not describe how grateful I am to Jason, the SM crew, and of course the man himself, David Tennant
  12. Got a personalised one and an undedicated one from Arthur, but that was shortly after his arrival with the fan-girl screams.
  13. How cool was Joe today!?! Talked about his guest appearance on Fringe, and he really liked the City of Atlantis canvas I brought along specially for him to be the inaugural signatory. Now to track down the other 14 cast members
