Do any of you feel sorry for any of the guests?
stanstill replied to tonystarkben's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2011
Sometimes I do but other times I have been stung for my kindness. Sunday I saw Lysette Anthony empty for quite a while thought i would go over as I do like her in stuff like Without a Clue and Jack the Ripper. So I went over for a chat and in the end I came away £10 lighter with next to no conversation. Be vigilant my friends... Stan xx -
Did you just get auto's and photos of peope you like
stanstill replied to Orangepeel's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2011
I was very tempted to get a photo with Karen Gillan as well wow she's a fox but I don't watch Dr Who so had a cold shower and decided not to give in to animal instinct. So in answer to the question, yes guests I am interested in only also I have bought autos in the past before got home and thought - what did I do that for? ha Stan xx -
agreed the photographer was very good. I also thought the crew members around photo area C were great also I had most of my photos in that area and they were very friendly. stan xx

For me : Richard Hatch is a lovely guy probably my favourite guest of the weekend. I could talk Battlestar all day long with that dude. I also met Erin Gray who was really chatty which I didn't expect but I was there a good 7-8 minutes. Still a cracker as well. Gil Gerard was very nice but not so chatty. Lea Thompson lovely jubbly. Natalia Tena, brilliantly bonkers! Tom Sizemore was my favourite talk as he is so direct and open about all aspects of his life and career it was a real insight, he also offered some good advice. stan xx

The Positive Feedback Thread
stanstill replied to GoldenGreen's topic in London Film & Comic Con 2011
I thought for the size of the event for me personally I found everything to be great (the band playing over the talks aside) the crew were excellent dealing with huge numbers of people and most of the guests I enjoyed meeting. I have found in my years going to these events that I now accept certain guests I will not have that spark with, some may even be rude, sometimes a crew member will be sharp and annoy me or be clueless. Sometimes an attendee will barge past me when I go to collect my photos. But usually these are rare moments and the vast majority of people I meet in the queues, or in the food areas are all like me, fans having a great time. The vast majority of my questions to the crew were answered in a friendly and helpful way despite them being under pressure - big shout out to the long haired man who was running i think photo area A when Cory Feldman's shoot was delayed as he was at times surrounded by people (including myself) and remained very calm. Most of the guests were fab, Richard Hatch was amazing, what a lovely bloke. Erin Gray was very chatty and Veronica Cartwright was lovely as was Natalia Tena and her big hat. Others less so - thats how it goes. Jason and the gang for me personally delivered big time I have lots of happy memories to store away till next time when we go through this crazy show again.
