Holly
Heeey, if you go to the cosplay thread that is pinned to the top of the board you should find your answer in there. I think there is a list of websites on the first page :) Edited September 22, 2011 by Holly
BigSi13
I need some help, I'm trying to find prescription Red contact lenses for the newborn party and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a pair? If you are looking for prescription lenses rather than non-prescription contact lenses then you will need the following things to purchase them in a straight forward manner: 1. An in date sight test. 2. An in date contact lens check that will cover the type of lens you wish to purchase. As I work for an opticians this is the information you will need to purchase prescription contact lenses from a company that is based and trades from this country as the G.O.C. states this as a minimum. If you decide to purchase from a non UK based trading optical website, then please make sure you look into the company you are buying from. Any UK based trading optical website will have to, by law, confirm with the testing optician that your two tests are in date and what the prescription is. I deal with this on a daily basis due to my job and since the advent of many many web based businesses. Please be careful when purchasing lenses online from someone you haven't even been in to see. With the incorrect lenses, or even poor quality lenses, for your eyes as an individual can cause irritation and leave surface damage. What might work for one person may not for another. As it is several weeks until the convention, I know that Specsavers do a free consultation, fit and trial for coloured prescription contact lenses. They are also rather good value when it comes to the price for the lenses if they are just for that one occasion. I am not doing this to drum up business for the company I work for (Yes, Specsavers ), or to worry anyone. I am doing this as I have seen the resulting issues left with people who ave purchased from a company online without even seen an optician to trial them. I hope I have helped and feel free to ask any questions from someone who has taken many calls from people saying "my contact lenses are....."insert comment"...can you help?" Enjoy the event as I have seen people at Halloween with Red Lenses in and they look excellent. Edited September 22, 2011 by Simondo
naurarwen_fangorn
Sadly the websites linked on the first page are not prescription lenses. Most websites have stopped selling coloured contacts with a prescription now they only seem to sell them with zero power. You can get fairly simple colours like blue, green, grey with a prescription power. youknowit.com sell prescription ones but they will not sell them inside the EU even though they are a UK based company so the only way you would get them is getting someone in the US or atleast outside the EU to buy them and get them sent to theirs before they forward them onto you. They are making getting crazy coloured contacts with a prescription extremely difficult now within the UK. You can get red lenses from here with a prescription but if you have a different prescription in each eye. Like mine which is -2.25 in one eye and -2.50 in the other then you have to pair a pair of each which brings the total to £78 for 4 lenses. http://www.contactlensesexpress.co.uk/red-...lenses-264.html From here you can get them for £55.80 for a pair http://cosmeticlenses.co.uk/product_info.p...ts_id=472{15}37 This is an american website but not sure if they would work out cheaper or not with postage http://www.coastalcontacts.com/special-eff.../prod97115.html Edited September 22, 2011 by naurarwen_fangorn

Sadly Specsavers dont give you many options I have had a look at the list they have at my local Specsavers as they are my opticions as well. I even tried to find my Cullen lenses on the list which are the freshlook colourblends in honey and they didn't sell them.

I am not sure which branch it is and who their contact lens optician is, but our C.L.O. has a massive range in mainly due to the huge boom in people wanting coloured contacts. The range available to Specsavers as a company is at least 100 different colours/designs the last time I went through them. As they are special order, we do not have to buy them in bulk. We just order from the makers when they are ordered with us. That is a shame you didn't have any luck with your local branch.
TommyT
I need some help, I'm trying to find prescription Red contact lenses for the newborn party and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a pair? You could always try a more permanent approach, as per the girl in this story, allegedly: "She says she tattooed her own eyeballs. The whites of her eyes are now jet-black. "It didn't hurt that much," she says, blinking."

EternallyCullen
I get all my contacts, regular and speshel ones from www.lensway.co.uk - they're shipped from Canada... I had red ones for ET5 and they were amazing, and I got Cullen ones this time around because I felt like being different They cost me around £40 for the pair, which is pretty pricey, but my eyesight is pretty appalling, so I don't mind that much. Beauty costs, right? Go to Lensway website and type in VAMPIRE into the search and see what they come up with :-) Pure awesomeness.
