If anybody knows of any LOTR event type things going on in the depths of lovely Devon...please let me know.

It seems that everything seems to happen elsewhere, and travel is so bloody expensive.

Still, C5 will be worth the money. Oh yes, can't wait!

I love Devon, i have family down there!!!!! yeha i know what u mean i live on the south coast so i have to travel everywhere for these things!

Having only recently moved from Westbury Wiltshire...

We used to have Lois Maxwell and Tony Head signing at local fetes.

Lived near Nick Brimble (Robin hood prince of theives)

We had the Trek Bristol cons.

Several Dr who cons

There's a Star wars con soon in Devon that I like to go to..

West is best and I can't wait to come back

PS..They had Westbury mentioned in Buffy too (Although it was filmed 10 miles away)

If you mean the Star Wars charity event that I think you do (we're in Somerset), sadly it's the same day as LFACC, so it may well lose out! T:)snikt

Yeah the only events that are near me was the David Boreanaz one, and anyones in London!!! Its not so bad as the West Country i mean thats gotta be a least a couple hours drive?!!?

For us in Somerset most events are 2 to 3 hours drive, but I must be honest, when it comes to London we rely on public transport, I would hate to have to navigate those roads!  We got lost in Bristol!!! T:)snikt

Yeah i usually go by train, if i go to London, the use the underground, though i hate that cause i get lost!

feel for us northeners... nothing goes on up here and im 5 hours from london... give or take. grrrr!!!

I live just outside Bristol so getting to Milton Keynes is a good 3 hours but always worth it, ar C4 I went on the saturday and monday, used a lot of petrol that weekend lol think for LFCC it will have to be train though
