Travel advice to Braehead Arena

I have put a list of ways to get to Braehead arena from information that others have put in the past. I will add/update:

 

 

Buses from Braehead to the bus station (via M8):

Black cab from Glasgow to Renfrew (close enough to Braehead) are around £20, local cab was £10.20.

Braehead Arena is conveniently situated just four miles from Glasgow International Airport. For more information on flights to Glasgow visit the Glasgow Airport website at www.glasgowairport.com.

 

The First Bus 747 service offers a direct link from Glasgow Airport to Braehead and Xscape. It runs every 30 minutes for most of the day and the journey time to Braehead is around 15 minutes. For timetable details, please use the Braehead journey planner.

Any chance of some info about local hotels? I know there's a Travelodge really close by but it'd be handy to have some alternatives just in case.

Have you thought about asking the Mods if both topics can be pinned? It's really useful stuff that people are likely to ask about, especially when the event gets closer and it would save having loads of different threads started.

I wish I'd known about that last bus on the Sunday to the Bus Station. One cab driver told me there would be no more busses so I had to spend a fortune getting a cab to the bus station to get my coach home.

 

STill, next year will be different - Mega bus and I - noooo way!!

Should have said i would have gave you a lift in to the city, as i was around late on sunday

Is there any chance of this being pinned? I've had a few potential newbies contacting me on Facebook to ask how to get there which makes me think that there will be some coming on here who may also find it useful.
