I would suggest that the fact that the amount of votes David Tennant has got might have something to do with the average age here? :YAHOO:

'My' Doctor was Peter Davison, and he was fantastic, but Tom Baker was the ultimate Doctor, no question. In my view he embodied the character in a way no-one else ever has. I did like Tennant though. If there's one thing Tennant picked up from TB, it's a good ability to straddle all the sides of the character - the mischevious, cheeky aspect, rolled in with immense nobility and authority, and an occasional hint of incredible weariness; the weight of the ages weighing on him.

I can't tell you how glad I am that RTD has finally given up the showrunner job. He does a good job of fan service, and fleshing out the grander elements of the universe - I just get sick of the endless stories about farting aliens. Moffat has written all the truly great stories of the new era - he's the only choice.

I just hope the new Doctor turns out well. I have a bad feeling about it if I'm honest.

This one was a hard one. I have grown up with The Doctor seeing him as Tom Baker onwards. I have met several Doctors and Companions.

However, my choice was decided by 5 words..."I don't want to go!". David Tennant was a superb incarnation of the Doctor. Humour, seriosuness, slapstick and caring. He to me was and is the complete Doctor.

When Freema Agyeman protrayed Martha Jones I grew to like her a lot. She got so much stick in the press from fans etc, but I thought she worked better with Doctor #10 than Billie Piper did as Rose Tyler.

Male companion to me is the one and only Captain Jack. John Barrowman is a legend and embodies the Whovian legacy. I couldn't see him as the Doctor as he is to naughty so to speak. Captain Jack is John Barrownman. John Barrowman is Captain Jack.
