It would seem that Rachelle is being replaced as Victoria in Eclipse against her personal wishes. There is a 10 day scheduling overlap, which she hoped Summit could work around - they are being very un-accomodating and so just replaced her. To me, Rachelle IS Victoria - she's played the role, developed the character and gave a damn good performance (so far) as Victoria...how can someone take that away in what will be her final scenes? Not to mention that Rachelle has always been so enthusiastic and charming about the whole saga - she's wonderful in interviews. She loves, appreciates, respects and understands the fans. And this decision by Summit (which to me seems a bit like just getting a big name in for the movie) is ridiculous! Will Jones Posted August 1, 2009 Share Posted August 1, 2009 Before going anti-Summit, the people bringing these books to the silver screen, everyone shoudl look at all the facts so far revealed. 1. The actress who has portrayed Victoria was not available for the full shoot of the film schedule. 2. Summit had a shooting schedule with everything in place including locations, props, staff and stars. 3. Said actress chose to do another film which clashed with the filming schedule of a film she would more than likely have been cast in due to her role. The way I look at it is that Summit could have moved stuff around and lost thousands and thousands in money. It could also have been inconvenient for other stars who may have stuff elsewhere to do. Why can't the other film reschedule? At the end of the day, she is not available for a film. It happens all the time. It is a shame, but it is life unfortunately.
