acethejoker666
ONE THING ,only one . Better advertising , more advertising , don't care where it is or where it goes , but as this is the only Scottish show then we need to get word further a field , more prominent and while enough time so people that want to see the guests can book time off and arrange travel now Midlands and CM 15 already have guest announcements and their in March and June , lets not let Augusts guests start being confirned 1 to 2 months beforehand dude i really cant disagree, i didnt find out when the event was untill about 4 days beforehand, some proper advertising and stuff could seriously be done with. as for other sugestions, get some folks from games-workshop im there, maybe not just celebs but a few of the specialist stalls like gamesday has in birmingham. Galaxy-Song
The only problem is the amount of advertising. If it worked so well in a shopping centre in MK for many years, then I see no reason way it can't work in Glasgow, where we have the arena, which is perfect for an event like this. I also had a thought of changing the name to 'Collectormania Scotland', which would perhaps make most people in Scotland think the event is for them all and 'not another bloody event for Glasgow', sounds mad, but it might work! I'm not pretending to be a marketing wizzard or owt but the name of the event might sound to some people as exclusive to Glasgow and they might feel a bit alienated. lol I do find 'not another bloody event in Glasgow' funny cause Im always complaing about there not being enough and having to travel evry were else. I will admit Ive never been bothered or even think about the name of events only if I could get thereXD I have no idea why but Collectormania Scotland just makes me picture a bigger event and I geuss that is a good thing when it comes to advertising. Reverend Scapegoat
I doubt Games Workshop will be up for it - Certainly, the last time I approached them about some kinda cross-promotion between Section 8 and their store, I was told there was no way we could even leave flyers for the site with 'em. Their head office, AFAIK, "does not play well with others". It's a shame, since they have a great universe they've created, but they guard it so jealously - Even looking round the web, there's very little GW stuff because anything that appears in any sourcebook in any way, they tell folk to take offline. So there's way fewer fansites than there could me. Anyway, I'm going off-topic...
touchthesky
Ok. 1. Online Cosplay entrants. I know it wasn't really possible this time around because of the late decision making and all but honestly, it was so much better like that. I really do think more people do it if they sign up online. 2. More food! I can't live on cheeseburgers and if I don't want to leave the centre I kind of have too.... 3.James Marstars? Please... Just giving people the website address and telling them to keep checking is pointing them in right direction.

I mean if I don't want to leave CM..We had so much bother finding time to eat because of all the talks and cosplay and signing and photos lol. It was literally a ten minute rushed trip to kfc and back in again..and if SM keep up their promises there is going to be even more trouble in August lol I'd have liked a sandwhich. MojoeDark
You could always just bring a pack lunch. The shopping center is one of the best bits for food. In other locations of showmasters events you normally have to walk a fair distance.
Polsnulspace
I enjoyed myself this year at the event and it does seem to get better show to show. For myself I would like to see more stalls that offer less trading cards/comic books and offer more movie replica items, I.e Master Replicas, EFX and all the other major players. I relise that everyone has their favorite items for their collections and this is my favorite I have a modest collection and would like to expand it as getting items in the UK is getting more difficult. I also liked the idea of have actual movie props on display if this could be expanded upon that would be great, either more prop displays or vehicles from movie/tv shows. Looking forward to the next event. Barry I agree....I always find these events great fun but its very few and far between when I find something I'd really like to buy (Im a prop and prop replica head). Usually I just leave with one or two signed 8x10s eventhough I always go hoping to find something a little special but unfortunately I very rarely do!! Paul PS.
