Just wondering, has the guy, (sorry, cant remember his name) who played Q ever done a con over here?

 

Im not really a Trek fan but ive seen a fair bit of it as my dad is and the character Q was always my favourite. I assumed he would be a popular choice of guest and was curious as to whether he’d been here before.

 

If he has, what was he like? If not, any ideas why he hasn’t been?

 

Like I say, im just curious but I assume a few of you are fans?

Yes, he has attended events in the UK before.

Only one UK appearance in about the last 7 years as far as I know.

 

He's nigh on impossible to get to events. He was down to do Collectormania years ago but cancelled. I saw him in Birmingham in 2003. He was nice enough given his rep for being hard work.

I met him at an event in London so he's obviously done more than one convention in the UK in that time frame, though nothing recently.

I met him in London as well though he did do another appearance in Birmingham that I saw him at. Can't say he was the most chatty guest I've ever met, in fact I'm not sure he even acknowledged me!

Yeah, that was my impression too (though I heard he was jet-lagged and was more talkative on the Sunday).
