Queen_Sindel
So I got you correct, she could sign up and she can log in but she can't post? And what does the error message exactly say? Edited February 16, 2007 by Queen_Sindel
Moderators DavidB Posted February 16, 2007 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2007 Hmm gonna need a bit more info than that I'm afraid Is she definitely signed in? And let us know what the error message says.
Queen_Sindel
Is she definitely signed in? I have to admit, that was my first idea as well.
Moderators DavidB Posted February 16, 2007 Moderators Share Posted February 16, 2007 Well I've not heard of many/any error messages when people attempt to post, and I know she said she's signed up but that doesn't necessarily mean signed in. But who knows
elijah44
heya! yeah i was thinking you might need a bit more i nfo hehe, she said that she tried to vote in the ring con section about the guests and it said error...something, im not quite sure but i will find out in a minuite and post it thanks for helping out sarah xx right she told me that when she tried to vote in the ring con thing for guests you would like at the convention, it came up with 'error, you cannot vote in this poll' and then when she tried posting a comment it would say ' sorry, you dont have permission to vote in that topic' i have no idea why this is thanks sarah xx
Moderators DavidB Posted February 17, 2007 Moderators Share Posted February 17, 2007 Well to me it sounds like she's just not signed in with her username and password. You can read the forum without being signed in, but you can't post. Are you sure she definitely signed in? Either that or her account hasn't signed up properly or something. Queen_Sindel
David's right I think. I tried re-creating that error and that exact same message comes up when I try to vote respectively post without being signed in.
Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted February 18, 2007 Showmasters Admin Share Posted February 18, 2007 It would help if you could let us know your friend's username so I could look into it. Andrea
elijah44
heya iv found out the reason that my mate thinks she can't post, showmasters aint emailed her saying what the next steps would be for the forum. she said that when she signed up for the forum it sayed thank you showmasters will email you within the next ten mins to tell you the following steps and you will soon be able to post. i think what may have happened is that she's been waiting for an email which hasnt come. and her account is probally not activated yet or something. also she said that she is definatly logging in sarah x
Queen_Sindel
Then probably the activation e-mail ended up in a spam folder or something, that's normally send out automatic. As Andrea said, you need to let her know the user ID so she can check on that.
