Guys, guys- this is getting out of hand. An event of this size is always going to have pros and cons- don't resort to personal crticism. After all, its ONLY a show and not the end of the world.

i agree - and if you read my comments they are designed to ensure that future events are better.

 

However I cannot understand how people who went today failed to see what a shambles the organisation was - i refer you to the points in my original post - comment on those - don't come back to me and say how great it was because I obviously don't agree.

If Showmasters feel they are capable of putting a show on of this magnitude they have to accept the criticism that comes with it when it goes wrong - which it did!

 

You support Showmasters as long as you can but once you grow up a little you will begin to see how some companies exploit their customer base and people like you are the doormats.

 

This topic is also nothing to do with the LOTR guests - not once have I mentioned them or criticised them - so perhaps you care to elaborate on your point.

 

How about you keeping some of your points to yourself too - there happened to be more people there who DID NOT enjoy themselves - don't ruin it for everyone because you DID - our expectations are obviously poles apart - I like things to be run properly - you are obviously happy with failure.

How is she ruining it for people who didn't get to see them? Surely you're ruining it for the people whi did by complaining?

So you didn't get what you want, Tough.  Sometimes we don't always get what we want.  Life works that way.

 

That doesn't give you one right to insult people to this caliber.  And no one ever has the right, I don't care how pissed off you are, to hit another person.  For you to even condone that says a lot of your character.

 

I will support Showmasters and The Hobbits as much as I possibly can.  Next time, you give it a try.  I'm not too sure you will do any better. 

 

I can understand the disappointment, but life goes on.  Don't dwell on it.  Over Comic Con I heard sooo many people bitching about not getting to meet Elijah, Dom, Sean and Andy.  Well I was one of those who didn't meet them, but I sucked it up and went on with the great time I was having before.

 

Prepubescent?  I understand that Showmasters is a business.  Of course they are making money, but do you think Elijah, Dom, Andy and Sean are doing this for free?  They get accommodation through someone.

 

Please there are a lot of people that are as frustrated as you.  But you have to understand, Showmasters had been working on this event for months.  I know people who Volunteer for them, that DON'T get paid.  It's not easy to get guests of this caliber for a whole weekend.  You all got lucky that Elijah, Sean, Dom and Andy even showed. up

 

What about Sala and Lawrence?  Were they not in the movie?  So you didn't see Elijah, go see Sala.  He's a great guy.

 

I'm gonna stop writing now, but please just keep your insults to yourself.  There happen to be some people that enjoyed themselves.  Don't ruin it for everyone because you didn't.

Isn’t it a little weird to make comments on a show that you did not even attend? This is a discussion forum where discussion takes place - people disagree...that's what it is all about.

I did read your post. I still feel your criticism is not constuctive. I agree about the ticket sales/ autograph organisation, but I believe with the number of people involved in this event there will always be problems for some. From the posts on other forums I would dispute your statement that many people were unhappy with the day!!

I understand the concern and disappointment of the starter of this topic, but what one must understand cons are executed on such a huge scale, and sometimes do not flow perfectly, and much to the teeth grinding of the more mature fans even the little chickie fan girls MUST have their turn with Elijah and co too. I am an older fan of Elijah's, and the chickie "omg" thing gets under my skin, but he gives them a thrill, and they go away with a thrill, and he knows that hopefully he'll never have to see them, and their "squealing" selves again. He went there for a reason, he loves his fans, and I believe that it's not the "omg" fan experience, but the most "sincere" fan experiences that sticks with him the most.

I've been to a few conventions in my time, and believe me no one is as bad at handling conventions than Creation.inc, they violate fire codes, and rip the fans for all they are worth, so these people, and the way you described your experience at the con doesn't seem to be that bad.

lol - do you not read the comments - my post wasn't just another moan about not getting autographs - it was constructive criticism - do you understand what that is?

 

It's nothing to do with what I paid today and it's nothing to do with what I got - it was all about the general sloppy organisation of the show - regardless of what it cost - Showmasters made a load of money today and they SHOULD have be better prepared for the amount of people through the doors - they should also have given the right information out to people - or perhaps you think that they were correct in telling people a different opening time to the actual opening time.

 

How about showing the right film - do you think that was right or perhaps if you bought tickets to a film and the cinema showed a different film you wouldn't mind?

How about allowing people to tout tickets and profit from a free service?

 

Don't make a fool of yourself and justify what happened today.

if on your arrival to M/K centre on the doors it states that the centre does not open till 11am i got there at 08:15am i was in a long Que a gaurd came out and said he will let us in as the Qs were getting very long and cars could not get through so it was the centre that let us in not S/M but as the Q in side was so big they started to give out tickets early i just cant under stand the moaning if you went to tescos to get bread because every other time you went there thy had some but this time they did not do you go and complain??? i guess not may be there is a better way to sort out the singings but having ago will not help pass on you idears to S/M i guess they will be happy to look in to them and may be change the way it was done
