Hero_of_Time Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 Hey all, this is to let all you anime fans out there this amazing deal if you have a "The Works" near you they are selling 2 different box sets each featuring 15 hours atleast worth of anime. they are all either a disk or the first disk of a series. titles in the set i have (will be pickin up the other set soon) TEXHNOLYZE R.O.D THE TV SERIES PARRANOIA AGENT LUNER LEGEND TSUKIHIME TENCHI MUYO SERIAL EXPERIMENTS LAIN GUNGRAVE CHOBITS HAIBANE=RENMEI THE ADVENTURES OF MINI GODDESS thats 10 disks, and the price? an amazing £9.99 in their sale, you would usualy pay £20 for a anime dvd in hmv so at that price you get £200 worth of anime for a tenner! amazing! and there is another box but i cant member what it has in it! Cher2a Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 Actually, that's a biiiit of an exaguration, mate - lol. Some of those you'd pay a tenner for. Depends on the anime, I suppose. Chobits, Gungrave, Tenchi, and Lain, for instance, are probably around that price, but the others I doubt it, very muchso. The other boxset had Trigun on it - that's all I remember. Yay for Trigun! Lol. Oo, actually, there was Love Hina complete OVA if I remember rightly... Oh, and I think you'll find that a couple of the DVDs are complete OVAs. Really good value for money, especially if you are just getting into Anime and want to test the waters cheaply - you get a good selection at a very low price. The one thing I would warn people about is that some of the DVDs are parts of series; the Ranma 1/2 film is self-contained (and fun), but doesn't give you any explanation of who the main characters are.
