  1. Blegh, this is so annoying. I sent a final e-mail to NBC last night where I (politely) informed them of our discontent with the whole Tour organization and asked them for one last time if they could tell me any details. Of course I have yet to receive a reply
  2. Allright thanks! I do plan to visit Forbidden Planet though, it's quite near to my hotel we dont have stores like that in my country at all (maybe if you're lucky they'll have a bit of stray merchandise in a regular comicbook store, but it's rare so I'm pretty excited by the prospect of being able to buy cool stuff I got hired for a new job today, and it's a good thing, cause I'll be spending loaaaaads this week!)
  3. That would be fab, thank you so much btw the Cinema Store, that's this one? Even if there's no signing there I'd still like to check it out on my trip to London
  4. The only real reason to keep a lid on things I can think of now is that things are not yet 100% arranged. Which would be pretty sloppy on NBC's behalf, but considering how things have gone till now, not surprising.
  5. I say press both (but I'm getting desperate ) Excellent! Though if I may ask, could you post their response on Wednesday too? I'll be leaving for the UK on Thursday morning 6 am (ack) so I wont have internet access anymore Well, New York (and other American cities) do tend to get more opportunities? This would be their first store signing in the UK, with people like me coming in from abroad for it, I imagine it could be quite crowded. But that's not really a reason to keep it secret - big crowds is big publicity, I guess.
  6. That's odd. The rumour was that someone had called them and had at first also received an answer like the one you described, only after some pressing about how they had *really* heard about it the FP person admitted that something was in the works but he couldnt confirm it. I wonder if this means there was something planned, but it didn't go through? Still, if someone could confront them about the rumour, maybe there *is* something and they're still told to keep it quiet... I'm planning to go by on Thursday myself (never seen the store anyway ) to ask them face to face but I wont be in the UK till Thursday and, well, Thursday already *is* a World Tour London day
  7. There actually has been a rumour going around for a longer time (ie a week or so) about the Forbidden Planet London Megastore, apparently people have asked them about it before and although they said no at first after some insistience they said maybe but couldnt confirm for 100%. So if some of you guys can call them or visit them to ask again, that would rock (like I said I e-mailed but I didnt get a reply )
  8. Please do! I emailed Forbidden Planet a few days ago but havent gotten a reply yet <.<
  9. Thank you so much to all you lovely people who are calling stores now! This little outside-UK-resident is appreciating it all so much, you have no idea, I'm super grateful that you're trying :keeps fingers crossed for the Cinema store!: On the edge of my seat!
  10. I'll be at the London Eye, I'm short with long darkblonde hair and glasses, most likely wearing a hot pink dress over a pair of jeans (and I'll probably be quite jittery and over-excited) I'm still debating whether or not to go to the Studios, it seems a kind of uncertain deal cause you dont at what time to be there, and I worry about being back at the London Eye too late after But I really want to catch Adrian and Milo, since I'll already be seeing Hayden and Jack at LFCC if I miss them it wouldn't be that big a deal anyway... AGH won't they PLEASE announce a signing?? Also wondering - there's some people on here from London, right? Maybe you could stop by HMV and ask them if they know anything? Even if it nothing's announced on their website NBC might have asked them to keep a lid on things... (I checked the contact thing on their website but couldnt find an e-mail adress, just a phone number which is kind of too expensive for me, damn international rates )
  11. oh dear lord... I contacted the BBC, and just received a reply - this is it: Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Heroes'. I believe that the information you are seeking can be find via the following website: http://www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com/ Please note that the BBC is not responsible for the content found on any external sites. I hope that this proves helpful, and thank you again for contacting us. ... I got nothing, people. Should I e-mail back and tell them that Showmasters is in no way affiliated with the Heroes World Tour?
  12. I'll be in my hotelroom with my friends giggling like a group of schoolgirls over all the guests we will have met, and bemoaning my empty wallet due to all the cool stuff I'll have bought
  13. I repeat - everyone needing information, send an e-mail to the NBC (I suggest the e-mail adresses mentioned at the top and at the end of this press release) and the BBC, and any other place you might feel helpful. Add some fuel to the fire, let them know we really need to know this stuff. The more people contact them, the more likely they are to release information. Don't just sit back and wait for others to do it for you, be pro-active!
  14. Great! Keep us posted if you get a response :) By the way, these programs (GMTV and This Morning), what times do they air? (ie if I were to feel like turning up at the studios, which times should I keep in mind?)
  15. Got it, thanks! :) Yeah there's a nice girl at 9th Wonders still doing the whole telephone thing with NBC about this, so hopefully by tomorrow we'll know more... I also have some e-mails which havent been answered yet (I'd call too, but I can't afford the international rates ) That said I advise everyone waiting for news to do the same, email the BBC, e-mail the NBC (I advise e-mailing the people listed at the bottom of the NBC press release, they have a better idea of knowing things than the customer service folks). Let them know we need to know this stuff!
  16. Out of curiosity, where are the studios for the tv and radio appearances? As I'm utterly unfamiliar with London I probably won't be able to find them anyway, but you never know if one of them just *happens* to be around the corner from my hotel or something It does seem thus far like they're only going to do stuff on Friday and Sunday. What about Thursday and Saturday? I'm sure the cast wants to enjoy London as much as the next person, but then NBC shouldn't have announced the Tour to be 4 days <.<
  17. That's very true indeed! :makes note to bring post-its: thanks :)
  18. Allright, thanks :) (helpful hint to Showmasters - put up a clear sign at the entrance with all guests appearing that day!) Also - in the FAQ it says "If you know you're going to want items personalised it's a really good idea to bring a piece of paper with your name clearly written/printed on it. This way you can give it to the guest and there is no chance of spelling mistakes." Is that really necessary? My name is Linda... I'd almost feel like I was insulting the actor's intelligence if I bring that on a piece of paper to avoid spelling mistakes
  19. My first ever convention (aah!), and also my first ever time going to London. I'll be spending 5 days there, with LFCC on the last day. I'm extremely excited And also quite nervous (the good kind of nervous though! I've already started packing, that's how anxious I am )
  20. Maybe a silly question, but I've never been to a con or anything before but I will be leaving for London a few days before LFCC (I'm Dutch and have planned a whole trip to London around the con - never been there before, and very excited! ), so I won't have internet access for a few days leading up the con. So I was wondering, will there be a sign or something at the entrance/anyplace before you buy tickets that lists all guests for the day, in case I miss the announcement of a last-minute addition/cancellation?
  21. There's still some people calling NBC and the BBC and everything over this... it's SO weird, they'll officially be in London for 4 days, yet only 2 days have details announced now, Friday and Sunday. What about the other two days? NBC really dropped the ball on this. It was supposed to be events for the fans, yet all they're doing now is annoying those fans. Do they think we're all precogs or something, they we'll know instinctively where to go? People need to plan trips and take days off from work, they can't just announce something at the last minute and expect everyone to drop everything and come running (although even the last-minute announcement hasnt happened with regards to Thursday and Saturday...)
  22. Hee I was wondering the same thing! I'm gonna go take a look anyway though, I've never been to London before so it's a win-win situation for me anyway - get to see popular tourist attractions and maybe even some Heroes
  23. Probably true, but if the director of the NBC'sWorldwide Communications division advises me to directly contact the BBC publicity department with any enquiries I may have about the London portion of the World Tour, I figure I should go and do just that I do feel that chances are they'll end up sending me off with nothing, but I won't know till I try, it's not like I'll lose anything for trying anyway so hey
  24. May I advise everyone waiting for details to contact the BBC? Since that's what the NBC told me to, the Beeb may be more inclined to release some details if more people ask them for it
  25. It would be absolutely idiotic for Hayden and Jack to cancel their Sunday appearance at the LFCC for the Tour, as that would seem to mean there are absolutely no fan events in London for the World Tour at all. What use is there in advertising a Tour to be for the fans, if they're going to be in the city for four days and not go face-to-face with fans even once? I'm fed up with waiting now. I've contacted the NBC a few days ago and have now been told to contact the BBC media division for further details for the Tour. I e-mailed them, but have yet to receive a reply. That's okay, it's only 5 days away after all!
