How about a Hobbit Reunion? In October it will be 10 years since filming on LOTR began, so: Elijah Wood Sean Astin Dominic Monaghan Billy Boyd PLEASE!!!

I will be eternally grateful to SM for that day. Before then, I was unaware of the existence of this type of event and never believed it would be possible to meet my beloved 'Frodo' in the flesh. Since then I have met him at other events in the US, at LF&CC, and even been an extra in Elijah's new film 'The Oxford Murders' - but CM4 was special because it was the first time and to see the wonderful cameraderie between the hobbits first-hand (sadly no Billy) was such a treat. I saw Elijah & Sean's Q&A session on both the Sat & Sun and it was just magic. I know I'm straying from the main topic here, but I just want to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to SM for making that happen. And, I may be a hopeless optimist, but I'd love to think that some time in the future, perhaps when various LOTR anniversaries come around, we may perhaps see them all together again at a similar event.

Now, if one of those guests happened to be Elijah Wood, and he was confirmed - I would book up in a heartbeat. Viggo or Orli ? No thanks, not for me. Only Elijah would do it. Yes, I do realise that meeting a specific actor should not be the sole reason for attending a con - but since you recognise that many people do only attend for that reason - would it not be somehow possible to decide on which actor(s) you want to aim for (eg Elijah!!) and then try to stage the event to fit in with their schedule? Ok, I know that wouldn't be possible for this year, and would probably be too difficult to arrange anyway, but it was just a thought. Also, I do agree with those who can't understand people not wanting to see a guest more than once. If you have a favourite, you can't see them too many times, surely!! I'd love to know if Elijah has been approached for this event - I know he was due to attend another show, Germany last year but sadly had to cancel.

ELIJAH!! Well, to be honest he was the only one I met - Sat & Sun. He is always lovely - polite & friendly no matter how tired he is. I really hope he'll come back soon

Jilly - hope you don't mind me asking - but is your friend certain about this? And if so, did they give a reason for Elijah not being able to attend?

SM's - I'm really hoping you'll be able to persuade Elijah to come to C6. I know he's taking a break after finishing his last film but by then he will have had a nice long rest and as far as I know he will not be working on anything else at that time. I wonder if he knows that Billy is coming - it could be an incentive for him to come, he enjoys the company of his fellow hobbits! It will be a year since I met him at C4 - much too long

That is wonderful news. I will never forget meeting Elijah last Oct. at CM4 - I hope and pray that he'll be able to come again soon.

I may be way off track but I've had a strong feeling all along that one of the big LOTR stars they were in negotiation with was Elijah - he's filming here right now and probably couldn't be sure whether he'd be free or not. I would love to know if I'm right - please?? Would also love to know if there's any possibility of him coming to future events.

ELIJAH WOOD FOR C5 AND C6. PLEASE!!! I was lucky enough to meet Elijah when he came to C4. He was sweet and charming but I was so nervous I only managed to get a few words out. I'm determined to say more to him next time. He will actually be in London filming 'Hooligans' at the time of C5 so that's not too far for him to come and I'm sure he'll be allowed a weekend off. So PLEASE Elijah - come and see us again (you told me you would!!) - and SM PLEASE invite him.
