  1. I haven't received a refund e-mail so I'll follow it up - thank you!
  2. No e-mail which is why I figured it needed chasing, but I thought I'd check first - thank you for the reply!
  3. Just so I know whether to chase Eventbrite or not yet, has anyone had their refunds yet for Val? Thanks!
  4. No, they'll be packaged/bagged up. I haven't quite found the courage to cosplay yet Thank you for your help!
  5. It depends on the prop. Anything that could actually be dangerous will have to be checked with crew beforehand, as with getting them signed. Most props are fine. Thank you! I'm still deciding on what to bring. I have one prop that's made of foam, even though it looks like a real (by real I mean fantasy) gun, and one metal, but it has no sharp or dangerous edges. I didn't want to bring one/both of them if they weren't allowed in shoots, so thanks for that!
  6. I think it's been asked, but I can't see a reply (so sorry if I missed it!), but are there any rules about taking props into the photoshoots, such as replica weapons? Thanks!
  7. I can't say how happy this list makes me feel :) If the potential is there for one or more of these guys I'd be happily camping out in the early hours to ensure an auto. I definitely think Sean Bean is the bargain of the bunch and to be honest I'd be willing to pay more to meet him. Chris Pine and Karl Urban you could charge a lot more for and I'd still happily pay it, those guys are definitely on my 'must have' list, that you're considering them makes me so happy!!! Thank you!!!!
  8. Not really bothered about section 1, but I love the idea of a Crime Con - with so many shows out there that have been running for so many years it would make a great change and with a great spread of actors to chose from. In a purely selfish vote however, I went for Chuck, because its one of the few shows to come along in recent years that has actually caught my interest. I agree with other comments though - Lockdown2 is a must!!!
  9. Thank you for all your efforts with this con, and thank you for still letting it go ahead despite all the difficulties. I am sooooo looking forward to next week, and have booked an extra night in the hotel which I don't normally do at cons, just to make sure I can get the best out of it and carry on partying! Roll on next week!!!!!!!
  10. Hi!!!! Thought I'd say hello, even though I don't really hang around the Forum all that much. I'm Rosie, another Yorkshire lass, and have had my 21st birthday a few times already Lost is at present the only show I watch, I am totally obsessed and don't care!! Even if my other half thinks I'm nuts :) My favourite character is a toss up between Jack and Hurley. For pure shallowness it's Jack, for total dudeness it's Hurley, although for awesome character creation the award goes to Ben. And I have to add another number to the 'I hate Kate, but love Evi' tally. I'm a bit of an old hat with cons, I'm somewhere in double figures now I think, and have every belief that Lockdown is going to be one the best I've been to! I'm coming with a couple of friends, but it would be great to see some of your around :) I went to Hawaii a couple of years ago and loved it, and yes I am jealous of you going back Watch those Mai Tai's - they can be a bit strong!!
  11. I'm sorry, I may be ignorant, overly obsessed, or just not understanding... and for that I truly am sorry, but surely anyone who has stared in the show is a pull - and in the case of these guests, their characters have had such an important influence on so many of the 'regular' cast that I'm dying to talk to them. I know for some people, that the regular/main cast members are important, heck they are to me too, and I respect that some people may only be interested in meeting them. For me, however, if these four guests were at a Collectormania, I would still be paying £120 to get their autographs and that's not including the price of the photos and the opportunity to actually talk to them properly. With this con I get entertainment and can spend time with like-minded fans as well. Thanks... :/ - but that's not how I meant the comment to be taken. I'm just a little confused as to why people are cancelling when I'm still really enthusiastic, that's all. And It will be nice to talk to fans of the show at the convention, because the people around me don't watch it. It wasn't meant to offend.
  12. Absolutely 100% going and am intending to have a damn good time! I suppose I can at least take comfort in one thing - that the people who seem to be willing to go are fans of the show.
  13. Awww, thank you! We sane people need to stick together I think :) Or is that insane.........?
  14. I've been looking forward to this convention for a long time and to be honest I was going to be surprised if HIC actually turned up what with the writers strike. I have every faith that SM will produce a fantastic convention and I am still as rabidly looking forward to the event as I was before this cancellation. I love Lost as a show, and every character and actor has something to add and I am looking forward to seeing what these guests have to say. I'm also a Gold Ticket holder and I still don't mind paying that price for this event, as I'm sure it will be 100% better than cons I've paid less than half that money on. And if there's the opportunity, I also have every intention of standing in a queue for hours on end that weekend just to book Gold tickets for Lockdown 2. Personally I'd like to thank SM for actually getting out there and arranging a Lost convention, because it would appear that no-one else was going to take the plunge. So THANK YOU!
  15. Michael Beihn!!!!! Hopefully he won't cancel again! And Ron Perlman would be great. And I'll take any Lost actors
  16. Because I fail miserably at taking decent photos, this is a poor representation, but this is my A5 Lost journal from Will, complete with some guest signatures that I've collected. I'm hoping to do a good job of filling it! The inner pages have great watermarks on them related to the covers, and if you ever run out of pages, just ask Will to send you some more and you can get the book rebound. This is the second one I've bought and I shall no doubt be adding to my collection at Lockdown.
  17. Well I for one am very excited for the con with the guests you've got lined up. Thank you for all the hard work, and here's to Lockdown 2!!
  18. To be fair, yes there are a lot of events this year and not everyone can get to all of them either due to money or time contraints - me included. I think a lot of the issues with guests this year is the Writer's Strike. Most of the US series are effected because they're having to go back to filming when normally they would have been on a break. I don't blame Showmasters for guests cancelling or being unavailable when clearly the actors have commitments or their livelihoods to protect, I'm taking it as a bonus when they turn up . I went to GMEX today and it was very quiet and seemed smaller in terms of the numbers of dealers, but it was relaxed - no mad queue's, no waiting hours for your numbers, and plenty of time to talk to the guests who were all pretty fantastic.
