  1. Not risking any damage to my kit, as I'll need it the weekend after! Might throw something together for CLassic tho :)
  2. Nothing official, or even unofficial this year - but a bunch of us are heading to Geek Retreat then Classic Grand :)
  3. In character :) My main rule, though, is I won't have someone kneel down and have me put my gun to their head... You'd be surprised how many times we get asked that! Happy enough to point it at the camera if asked, but not that. ( Obviously we don't point guns at anyone or anything uninvited! )
  4. Well, if I don't spot you, you'll definitely pass us on the way in :)
  5. Saw you guys in Classic before, think I was DJing afterwards - Must've either been a Collectormania night or one of my monthly Contagion clubs?
  6. OK, just heard back from the lovely Forbes at Classic. Collectormania party get free entry. So if you're up for it, find me around 11pm on Friday, and let's tear this shiz up, yo :)
  7. Thanks! It's coming together, and my flat BLOODY STINKS! LOL Honestly, I think it'd be more pleasant if I had REAL decaying corpses stuck to the walls!
  8. NOOOOOO! SHOOOOSH! I'm nowhere NEAR done with all the stuff I need to finish for the UKCM backdrop, Morgan and Lee's new costumes, and all my own stuff for this and the following weekend! It is NOT only 6 days, I refuse to accept that statement!
  9. I could see about getting a bunch of us on the guesty for Classic, if y'all fancy Geek Retreat for a bit, then onward for drinks and dancing? Would be nice to hang out with you lot and NOT actually be working! Can't hurt to ask :)
  10. So... Does this look interesting? [sNEAK PREVIEW]
  11. There might be something happening at Classic Grand on the Saturday night - I'll keep y'all posted. I've been asked if I'd be interested in helping out with a quiz/geek themed night, but I won't be taking the responsibility of organising one on my own this year... Quite frankly, it's been too draining the last few years, and it's at the point now where if Showmasters don't want a party, I don't have the energy to try to put one on without their backing. Maybe next year they'll continue to grow the event, and decide to go back to having something for punters on the saturday night, and hopefully they'll give me a shout to help out if they do... but for this year, you have my apologies and promise that if there is something happening at Classic Grand, or elsewhere, I'll do my best to join y'all and party hard with you! I believe Geek Retreat are planning something as well, but remember, they close fairly early so if you wanna make a night of it it'd be Geek Retreat for milkshakes, snacks, and fun in the early evening, then elsewhere for grown up drinkies and entertainment.
  12. If anyone wants zombified, I can bring my make-up kit along! Just ensure you're not allergic to latex first, please! Also...
  13. I'm working til 8, but if anyone happens to fancy a pint, I'll be in Classic Grand for Birthday Weekend Stage 1 from around 11!
  14. I'll be swinging by there on Sunday afternoon, before attempting to break my record in Yo! Sushi for my birthday dinner :)
  15. You will once you've been through Boot Camp ( By which I mean "Signed up for the Aliens Legacy forums and joined in the chat" ) :)
  16. Nope. That's decided upon for you by Dom Baldwin, from Canada. ( That joke will make sense in time )
  17. if you do get him, just make sure he parks his car in the right bit of the arena on the day. Bay 12. Please. What, like this? http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1239897015380&set=a.1067297260494.8677.1767941723&type=3&theater
  18. Nice one! Always good to have some new recruits going through boot
  19. Most folk tend to go for a set of Spatcave Studios stuff - Wearable out of the box, but there's a waiting list. Head over to the aforementioned Aliens Legacy forums to see some other options - There's a dude in England doing some pretty sharp looking kits too, now, and Pepakura files are available to do your own.
  20. Most comic shops these days are brilliant - Staffed by enthusiasts who know their stuff, and are more than happy to help new folk out. Sadly, there seems to be a wee time-hole to the 80s in the vicinity of at least one of the non-Glasgow shops... I've been collecting comics for the last 20 years, and I've never had as unfriendly an experience as I did in Edinburgh last week. Hint : It wasn't Forbidden Planet! Glasgow's definitely a Comic Book city - With a plethora of comic shops, large and small, and a load of world-class writers and artists hailing from and still living here, it's one of the things I really love about the place!
