Sounds fab. How did you get into making your own costumes in the first place?? And will you be doing angel at the next g-mex?

I hear that every year in Disney MGM florida, they have, at the end of may beginning of june, a star wars week... It just so happens that next may I'll be going to Disney Wrold so maybe my meagre autpgraphs collection will grow!!

...a mixture of both to be honest, but even the bought stuff usually needs modification to make the items more accurate to the movies... Once you are hooked on costumes, forever will it dominate your destiny (and your bank balance ) Cant beat that feeling though of seeing the kids and adults enjoy themselves and see the characters like they just walked off the movie screens! LOL. Yeah I'll bet its expensive but it looks like a blast. Nearest thing I get to it is dressing my poor pony up for the christmas ride. He's going as a hula dancer this year... I only have Carrie Fisher.... I noticed she goes to the ones in London a lot but doesn't come up to Manchester... Any chance of that happening? What do you guys think??

Oooohhhhh. I'd love to meet the FArscape cast!! Preferably at G-Mex but... Could consider travelling to meet them. I know Joesgirl would love to meet them as well... And probably two of our friends!!! Get a reunion going!

What I want to know is...Where do you get those fantastic costumes from? Do you make them yourselves? Buy them? Enquiring minds want to know!

Been trying to convince Joesgirl to go in costume next time as well as some folks from work.... So far she's said no to the Wizard of Oz characters ;-)

think its a better idea everyone has dropped out Hiya. Just jumping into a thread that's been down for a week or so but... Has anyone seen the japanese store on e-bay that makes replica's of the X-men costumes? They've done Rogue Cyclops, Phoenix, wolverine.... If you guys want I'll try and find the web site for them. They seem to be quite detailed, with tailor make them and they're about £40 -£120... which isn't THAT bad IMHO.

Would it be sad for me to say I covet those Star WArs costumes? I really must try going in costume one day... Joesgirl... Remember that promise you made?????

Gotta say I loved DWight and Dirk. They're like a double act! So funny with the banter between them... Dirk's a lovely lovely man... But the pic i have of me and him makes me look like an escaped mental patient. Never mind... i was just... a little.... Happy... at meeting me childhood hero's. Colin Baker was actually nice as well.... Apparently he comes from the same place me and my friend did and knew a lot of the local haunts!!! We had a really nice chat! Oh and Michael Dorn... He offered to get me a job as an alien in order to help me get out of a life spreading poo for a lviing!!
