First Post...what guests would you like?
trekkie101 replied to Charmer's topic in Collectormania Milton Keynes 21
I'd like to request Robert Carlyle. My sources inform me that he doesn't currently have any shooting commitments in May, and it'd also be a chance to do some promotional tie-in work for the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. -
I have a question. I was planning to arrive in a few hours and queue at the door. How likely is it that I'll be able to meet any guests today?
-
Okay I'd just like to confirm something here, since I'm not too familiar with the rules on this one. A few years ago at one of the Collectormanias, I was fortunate enough to meet Rob D. McNeil. At the time I couldn't think of any intellectual conversation, so I asked what his favourite beer was - figured it might be something he wasn't asked very often As a result, I'd like to bring him a case. Howver, I'm not too sure if there's any rules on bringing alcohol into the venue unmarked or otherwise. If anyone could clarify, I'd be very grateful.

I have been single for 21 years and counting. It absolutely destroys me every time I see a couple togther enjoying each others company, because it reminds me of everything I'm missing out on. But when I go to a convention, it all just disappears. Even if its only for a day, I can just talk with other people about the things we both enjoy. Unfortunately, I can never muster up the courage to ask anybody out. I mean sure, maybe we chat on facebook or trade numbers if I hit the jackpot, but nothing ever comes from it. Freaking sucks man.

Suggestion: Dissidia Duodecim tournament. Can't say I've really thought it through, but I love this game and would enjoy a chance to play with others.

Hello everybody. Not sure if this is the place to post this, but thought I'd give it a shot. Basically, the topic does what it says on the tin. I really enjoy this PSP game, but unfortunately, none of my friends play, so I have not yet had the chance to experience PvP battles. So, if anybody fancies a rumble at LFCC, hit me up. Thanks.

Cloud Strife - FF7. On a side note, I'm seeking a partner-in-crime Sephiroth. Anybody know one?

latest Guest Announcement - CHRIS SABBAT

Now just have to hope he doesn't cancel. I'll finally be able to cross this off of my list of things to do before I die. Thanks Showmasters -

I know the guy you mean - I picked up a Vegeta wall scoll from him. No idea who he actually is, but he's done previous shows, so it's a pretty safe bet he'll be back. -
Begging hoping and pleading with Drummond.

What the last guy said about DBZ :)

Kick ass! He did some fantastic voice work in Bioshock, I'll have to nab him for that. -
I understand the logistics of a request like this. I know that there are a mllion things that could hamper it. Fees, timing, availability, travel, expenditure and about a thousand other things besides. But at the same time, I still ask. I know that, if anything, it'd just a a quick 'Hi how are you? Thanks for coming.' But at the chance of ticking off one item from my list of things to do before I die, I honestly believe it's worth it. I doubt there are many people who can honestly say that a tv show has had a profound and protracted effect on ther lives. But those who can will understand my direction here. And if you do, then please - give me, and maybe hundreds of others, the opportunity to fulfill this dream.

Every day, I used to come home from school feeling like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. Sure, in retrospect it wasn't that bad, but it didn't stop me feeling that way at the time. Then, I'd turn on the tv and watch Dragonball Z every day at 5:30pm on Cartoon network. And everything suddenly started to feel better. That show meant a lot to me. I didn't have a lot of idols growing up, but that show meant as much to me as any real person could have. It made me feel like there was another world outside of my own, and that there were always possibilities. To some of you, this may sound absolutely bonkers. To others, it just might make an iota of sense. So, to those of you who understand where I'm coming from, I'd like to request Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat. Not only because of the amazing work that they did, but because it'd finally give me the chance to thank them for what they did for me.

I was hoping that somebody would answer my query on the video game tournament thread -
Video Gaming Zone and Artist Alley Timetables!

I'd like some clarification please: Sonic 2 - What exactly are the criteria for winning the tournament? Are we talking about powering through specific zones, or speed runs? What about speed emerald collecting? - Will this be done on the original megadrive, or downloaded onto a next-gen console? Super Smash Brothers Brawl - Will all additional players (Sonic, Snake, ROB etc.) be available? - What controllers will be available? Wiimote only, or will there be a Gamecube pad option? Quick response greartly appreciated. Only a few hours left to practice after all! -

Sean schemmel and Chris Sabat. I'd have a joygasm if I could meet them. -
Okay, so I'm hoping to pick them up first thing tomorrow. If anybody checked, were there any left at the end of today for the above guests?

Were there any photo op tickets left left for: Nimoy Brooks Krige Delancie Robinson

I had been planning on going on the Friday, but since Leonard's been re-arranged to the Saturday and Sunday, I'm having trouble deciding which day to go on. On the one hand, Sunday won't be as busy (I'm assuming). But on the other hand I won't be able to get any photo shoots with my other guests if I don't go on Saturday. Now, I don't mind whether it's the seasoned words of experience, or the approximations of best guesstimates. I'm just looking to avoid hassle.
-
Thanks for the info. I guess it all comes down to what day I'll end up going on. Friday would be ideal since it's less busy, but there's no guarantee of any photos. On the other hand, Saturday will be silly busy, but there are photo shoots. Mind you, there's always a chance that they'll be completely sold out by the time I get there, if not already. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks Too Tall. So, on the day at the station, at about 7ish (give or take) can I assume it's a peak-hour Virgin ticket? Does anybody know how I can find out how much that costs?
