  1. The consensus so far is that the seat number on the ticket is invalid, and will be first come first served. However I would like to read the definitive statement from SM regarding this. I can foresee a major amount of headaches on this subject unless SM put up some kind of announcement on the website and have obvious posters at the theatre. I don't want to queue if I don't have to, but neither do I want to queue and find out it was a waste of time. Please can SM clarify once and for all? There are going to be a number of people who don't read the forum and will no doubt expect to have the seat numbers they are allocated...
  2. It is walking distance, but a good 15-20 minute walk! There are plenty of buses that go in that direction, otherwise it'll be a short cab ride.
  3. Won't it be free after 6pm? Failing that you just need to go over into the next block, and park across from the Abbey - parking is free there at the weekend!
  4. I do have to ask why tickets went on sale on a day when you weren't around? I can understand it's exciting for everyone on the board to get them on the Thursday night, but the general public who don't visit the board would be wondering why on the day tickets go on sale there's no one around to take orders... Wouldn't it have been easier to put them on sale tomorrow? I will stand up for Showmasters since I know they offer a great service, but I have found myself having to defend SM from people who haven't gone to one of their events before and are understandably miffed they couldn't get a response on Friday. Speaking for many who have been badly burned by convention organisers in the past it's a good thing SM have had a solid history to make incidents like these more forgivable...
  5. I still haven't heard anything either Narago, so you're not the only one! SM are usually so quick to respond it's odd they're MIA today of all days...?
  6. On the first full day the tickets go on sale no one is answering the order phoneline 'in office hours'! I sent in my request at 9.30 this morning via email, but haven't got a reply yet. I'm sure that will be enough, but I did want to confirm details on the phone.... but no one's answered all day! I know Showmasters are a great team and there's a probably a good reason why this has happened... but a colleague of mine who also wants to go to the party (and hasn't been to a Collectormania event before) isn't happy that she can't speak to someone to order tickets on the day they've gone on sale... I'm concerned that this kind of thing might put her off future SM events... Will people be around to answer calls tomorrow? Don't let the side down Showmasters!
  7. Are Showmasters around this morning? I've sent through a ticket request via email *and* trying to get through on the phone but nobody's answering... I'm desperate to see if I've got tickets, let alone if there are any VIP tickets left!!
  8. Bruce for C6!! Bruce for C6!! If you could get Ted Raimi too that would be excellent... ooh, and a screening of any of the Evil Dead trilogy with a talk preceding it. I think I would die and go to heaven!
  9. How many people were in there? I was surprised only about 20 turned up for the Star Wars talk... and there were only a handful of people waiting for Joe's talk when we went in for Star Wars...
  10. That's right! It slipped my mind he actually answered... did anyone else answer except Craig (who thought his was Hallelujah)?
  11. I REALLY wish Sunday night's TTT talk could have been filmed - it was the best talk I've been to so far... especially considering it didn't feature any of the 'main' LOTR actors!! Considering many other conventions record their talks/events and sell on to attendees, I'm curious as to what holds SM back. Maybe it is to do with money and/or copyright issues?
  12. We want to know if you've finally decided on your favourite song??!!
  13. I take it you know him then? I wish I could have been singled out like he was... I would love to have been sandwiched between those men!!
  14. How much fun was that night? If it was possible to permanantly play that night in my head I would be one happy bunny... I haven't laughed so much for a long time - my face ached!! If only the talk was recorded - SM could have made a fortune from it! Those guys could take that show on the road... I don't think you have to be a LOTR fan to find them hilarious!
  15. I am curious to find out if anyone has received their screening tickets yet? I booked a pair of LOTR tickets on the Wednesday night they went on sale, but am a bit worried that they haven't arrived yet. I have no problems picking them up at C5 (I will have to collect my SW tickets), but I'm concerned that there may not be any allocated as SM may believe I've already got mine in the post! Can anyone at SM confirm the situation with these tickets? Were they all sent out last Friday?
  16. Thank you very much for the update! I have just sent an email in order to book a pair!
  17. Tickets for the Star Wars talk couldn't be ordered on Wednesday because details weren't yet confirmed. Does anyone know if these details have now been confirmed? The Press Release sent out seems to suggest details are confirmed, but I haven't been able to get through to SM in order to see if I can book the tickets. Does anyone know the official word on this?
  18. I'd really like to know too... I'm desperate to see ROTK one final (14th) time on the big screen before it goes to DVD...
  19. Oooh... in that case, please could you invite Jamie Bamber?!
  20. How do you know that? If that's true, I've got everything crossed it'll work out for c5....
  21. Yes, Adam Busch all the way! If he can bring along my future husband, Eric Kufs (oh yes, he will be mine LOL! ) I would be even the more happier... a signing during the day with a CoRo gig in the evening. I saw them at the Scala during the summer, and they were amazing! Their CDs have barely left my player!
  22. Dang! What time did they do the talk? I went on Saturday, I ended up leaving at 2.30 after meeting Emma Caulfield, Julie Benz, Billy and Craig! I had got there at 8.45am (got up at 5.45am) so my energy was lagging by that point.... I'm still happy that I got to meet them both, and got my photos with them - loved how they were both so accomodating, especially Craig who let me even though he said, "they'll shout at me for doing this!". He is one bloody attractive man in real life... What did they say during the talk?

  24. First, welcome to the forum. Second, are you a fan of number plates? I had a very hard time deciphering what it was you had to say... please remember there are visitors to this forum for whom English is not their first language. I've been speaking English for 20+ years and I had a hard time working out what you are saying. Never again in my life do I want to read 'thought' written as '4ght'... :shudders:
