  1. Hi, Martin Landau's photo is quoted as £20 in the list, but £25 on the "lecture and photoshoot" page - which is correct? Also, when will we get an idea of the photo schedule for each day, as I'm likely not to purchase until I know when I can attend? Thanks.
  2. Hello, I've just tried to book a queen deluxe and got a message saying there are no "single beds available"? - is this the same problem that reddragon was getting? Also, is breakfast included in the discounted rate, if not anyone have any idea how much it costs?
  3. Dame Diana was signing Avengers shots and indeed other items -she was particularly taken by my ltd edition figure set and the 50th anniversary dvd box set! As for personalisations, I count myself as one of the lucky ones. She was personalizing initially (as I saw other people's 8 x10's) but when I was queing after the 1.30 photoshoot, to my dismay there was a sign at the paying desk that stipulated "no personalizations", however when I got to the desk where she was signing, Dame Diana asked me what I wanted her to write and ofcourse I asked for a dedication which she was happy to do - most pleased with that! I guess that because she arrived late, not sure exactly when but after 10.30am, the "no personalisations" was brought in to speed things up. At a guess I'd say that the message for no personalisations hadn't reached the signing table when I got there, so about 2pm ish, so I was lucky in that respect. I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts on their meeting with Dame Diana...
  4. I really enjoyed the event -meeting Dame Diana was the highlight. As a long time Bond and recent Avengers fan I was really looking forward to meeting her and I was not disappointed! She was really friendly and took time to talk with the fans. I know that this may not be ideal for getting through large numbers, but it means all the more to visitors like myself. I'd particularly like to thank the SM staff member sat with Dame Diana -I had a large number of items for signing and was v flustered and she was v patient and ensured that the items were signed as I wanted (even mentioning before I could specify that my litho needed to be signed in pencil!) It's this added consideration that makes me recall my meeting Dame Diana all the more fondly -thank you!!! Also, Malcolm the photographer - I've always found him to be great at putting people at ease in the photo sessions and I was really pleased with the resultant photo with Dame Diana. I now have 2 great photos of me with the stars of OHMSS (the other with the George Lazenby from 2006) both taken by Malcolm which have pride of place in my home - Thanks Malcolm! Overall I found that the day had a really good vibe and I hope everyone has as good a day today as I had yesterday
  5. Hello, attended yesterday and was fortunate enough to be able to get one of the Saturday exclusive cards . Not able to attend today but is there anyway where I could get one of the Sunday exclusive cards? I have a spare Saturday card if anyone wanted to swap?
  6. Hi Guys, just made it back from this event and thought I'd add my feedback. As per usual I found the Hilton to be excellent and enjoyed the amenities and found the staff helpful as ever. Some great guests, managed to see everyone I wanted over the 2 days - yesterday Marilyn Galsworthy, Ann Lonberg, the 2 Bond guys from AVTAK -all really chatty and pleasant and only too happy to pose for photos. Same with Gerald Harper too. I think someone summed up Tippi Hedren well in another link very "school ma'am" -pleasant and talked about the film role on the poster she signed for me but declined to shake my hand when I offered it which did take me aback a bit having gone to tons of these events in the past and never having had that happen. She elaborated that this was due to catching germs, to which I was tempted to say I wouldn't mind if I caught something off her, but resisted it! I can completely understand her though when you think about it, just took me off guard that's all and I just offer to shake hands out of force of habit. Today met up with George Baker, complete gent and Leslie Nielsen after his early finish on Saturday -again absolute pleasure to meet and funny too. Thanks also to the Showmasters staff who were more than helpful to me and my partner as usual. Overall we really enjoyed our time and roll on the next!
  7. Hi Andy, my items arrived from Movie market a couple of days ago, even though I ordered almost a month back, I was surprised to see they came from the US too as the last time I ordered I seem to recall them being UK based.
  8. Hi, I'm a new visitor to Autographica, though I've been to several Showmaster events in the past and found them most enjoyable and efficiently run events. I was wondering if someone could give me a bit of assistance with the following; 1)I'll be arriving @ the hotel late Saturday to book in probably about 3pm, though have tickets for Sunday early bird -since found out a few of the Bond girls will only be there Saturday -what are the prospects of buying a ticket for entry so late in the day? -I would buy one in advance but arriving at the hotel @ 3pm is not guaranteed, so don't want to waste money if I can help it! 2)If I can't get a ticket what are the chances of passing some items to Showmaster staff to get signed for me? -with the requisite fee ofcourse! 3)Hoping to meet Ursula on Sunday -I've read about the potential waiting times, having done the LFCC when Patrick Stewart showed up for half a day and witnessing the legendary race for VT's I'm guessing that Autographica as an event is going to be a more relaxed, less busy affair -is this a fair assumption? Thanks guys!
