  1. No worries QS, my internet connection is rubbish whenever I get to large scale gigs. I got a nice table shot with Sarah and the DP photo of Terence is great, so all in all I'm happy...
  2. Alastair is a really nice guy, meet him if you get the chance - he's done a few of the SM cons lately so always a chance.
  3. Managed to get into see Benedict first thing today on arrival at about 9.05am and he was already at the table signing away - what a pro! Got my prints and violin signed and asked him if he'd pose with it in the photo shoot which he gladly agreed. About an hour later, on walking into the photo area, he recognized me and held the violin as I feigned putting my fingers in my ears and the look he is giving me in the photo is priceless! I obviously didn't see him do it at the time as I was looking into the camera, but I heard everyone laughing in the line, and when I collected the print I just cracked up! (If I can upload the shot I will). Topped off the day by attending the talk and getting to ask him about whether he would be up for auditioning for Bond if the call went out, cue some cheering from the assembled crowd- "no comment" was the careful (wise) response! All in all a great series of interactions with Benedict through the day! What a great guy and thanks to SM for getting him to attend!
  4. Yes I had to pass, I had no idea he'd be so busy so I didn't get a VQ. He was parked by the wrestlers and when I got there, there was a line snaking across where his should have been and people just didn't want to let you through- he'd gone to lunch then anyway, so I left.
  5. Mads is a legend! Such a warm friendly guy with time for everyone. I met him yesterday no problem with a VQ - he was getting through the signings but not in a hurried way and you don't feel rushed. Mads could attend every year in my opinion and he'd be popular.
  6. I would be extremely surprised if you get any rebate, let alone a full money refund for the Superman shoot. The terms and conditions generally stipulate that if a guest cancels then that's the risk you run and they seem to have worded the attendees on the Superman shoot so loosely that this runs counter to the mass interpretation of the shoot as a "Super villain" photo shoot. As I understand it, it was sold as a "Superman" photo shoot, which lets face it, it still is... Sure at POS it's easy to see how people viewed this as a Supervillain shoot as all 3 were attending - I almost bought the shoot myself on this basis but passed as I didn't want Margot in the shot and didn't want to make her feel left out. The upshot is it was never overtly sold as a "Supervillain" shoot and SM will rely on this when refusing refunds. i wish you luck, I really do but having gone through a similar experience with the "unsmiling/you can drive a bus between us" Steven Berkoff shoot last year I know for a fact SM will just tell you to lump it...
  7. 2 cancellations in 1 day - now down to only 6 guests to see...saving money but aarrrghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
  8. Last year I was despondent when the Mighty Humungus from Mad Max cancelled but miraculously he was then re-announced! Here's hoping Jack will do the same when he sees the disappointment caused in this forum!
  9. Any chance of talking Jack around to attend? This spoils pretty much everyone's group shot and chance to get all 3 autographs... I can never see this opportunity for all 3 Super villains to be together at an event again...
  10. Cool cheers Raylenth! Excitement building now!!!!
  11. Cheers guys! Passport or will the credit card I used to purchase them be ok? (Not a fan of carrying my passport around!)
  12. Quick question, to pick up my diamond passes do I need to bring ID or will the e-mails confirming purchase suffice?
  13. Is it possible to swap my Michael Madsen photo shoot from Saturday to Friday instead?
  14. Thanks QS, yes definitely be interested to know. The chap I'm referring to didn't get a credit and can't be seen in the film. When I asked him what his memories about the film were he just said "I held up a gun and went bang bang". He then signed my lithograph and posed with me for a photo. As we walked away my friend and I just looked at each other and had a conversation along the lines of my having my lithograph signed by (and photo with) a random old guy who's conned SM into getting into the lucrative signing circuit! i won't go into details as I don't want to incriminate the guy but probably the strangest signing experience I've had to date...
  15. Garrick is a great guy, once he signed in pencil for me on a lithograph and threw in a sharpie signed 10x8 as he thought he was charging too much to sign in pencil!
  16. I'm curious - what evidence do SM request to prove the involvement of an actor in what was admittedly a minor role over 30 years ago? Reason I ask is I met a minor Star Wars actor at Cardiff con a few years back who was in a Bond film and when I was asking him about it I got the distinct impression he didn't know much about the film! I'm not doubting all of these actors but just wondered how they get found by SM and how they can prove their involvement in the absence of a clear screenshot in the film (which the chap I'm referring to definitely didn't have).
  17. That's concerning, I thought the batches were allocated in order of purchase?
  18. This is a legitimate concern especially for anyone who needs to see a DP guest but is trying with VQ's. i must confess to not having seen this infuriating occurrence at LFCC but it happened at every Autographica I ever went to! Worst was when I was waiting to see Barbara Bain and I'd missed her earlier as there was a queue of dealers and then she went to lunch. I came back only to be in the queue behind a dealer who had 30 plus boxed toy Eagle spacecraft!!! The exchange seemed to go on forever as they all needed to be delicately signed on the window panel of the box... Even worse though is when I've seen SM staff allow the dealers to queue jump so they can get back to their stalls- don't mind me I'm just an honest fan whose been waiting here long before you arrived, with one item for personalisation that I'm not selling on at inflated prices..
  19. Guys, sorry if this has been covered but if I get Friday entry tickets am I able to collect my Saturday Diamond passes then rather than at entry on Saturday? Just weighing up attending Friday too as 5 of my 8 guests are showing as attending Friday - takes the heat off Saturday (at least in one sense)...
  20. ...and halfway through your line you get asked to move on up to keep the line going...
