  1. So glad this is happening, it's been a couple of years since I've been to one of these. The last time being dropping into LFCC for an hour after driving down to move my sister from London to Wales. after seeing this was happening had a dig through some old file backups and found this from back in the day.

    Snow...

Wales has snow. Started yesterday evening, and this morning there was a good few inches. Views are great with all the white fields, not atempted to go check if there's snow by the coast. most of the beaches near here are down hills, along some less frequently used roads and I probably wouldn' get back up them in the car.
  3. The episode before the two part season finale is a good one. I think it's called Vegas. Very CSI like in my opinion, with the wide views of the strip that CSI is known for.
  4. Found this thanks to a member on scifihero. Jacks Coat

    CSI Vest

Had several screencaps, but he needs hi res pics to get the details right. I did find some on csivegas.net and sent him the links, so I'm just waiting to hear anything further.

    CSI Vest

I've been emailing someone who makes Zat holsters because he also makes vests for law enforcement and ems services, asking about making these vests. It's something he's been meaning to try and so I'm trying to find some hi res pics of the vest for him to copy. If anyone knows of somewhere I can find hi res pics of the back and sides of the vest can you let me know. I have found lots of front pics on csivegas.net I'm having trouble finding the others. I'll keep you updated on any progress made.
  7. Maybe I should pop down Jewsons for some face masks to hand out on the door. Then people can play spot who's from Wales.
  8. Here is the link to the parking map. http://www.mkweb.co.uk/parkingmap/home.asp Have a look I'm sure it will have opening times somewhere.
  9. yep Wetherspoons has seating outside (Well did have when I went there while I was down for CM7). If I remember it's up Midsummer Blvd, not far from the Travelodge and the Jurys?
  10. Here is the link Crippsy posted on Ruths 'anyone need a room' thread. Jurys Inn Parking Shows the hotel and the parking areas close to it.
  11. Driving from Cardigan to see my Sis in London for a couple of days, then driving up to MK on the Fri.
  12. Last time I went to CM (7), we ended up travelling from Euston by coach as the trains weren't running on the Sun. This year I'll be driving to my sisters in Penge for a couple of days before CM, and driving up to MK on the Fri. Hope you have no train troubles, as by coach isn't that fun. Especially if the weather is hot.
  13. Just shows I should look harder. Thanks.
  14. Just a quick question without starting a new post. Do any of you staying at the Jurys Inn hotel know if there is parking there or where the nearest parking would be? I'm booked in for the w/end and was wondering if parking was easy, as I didn't drive when I attended CM7. Thanks.

Thanks, I'm not all that good at sewing myself. The jacket was my first go, I had to be shown how to thread the sewing machine before I started it, but it came out allright. CSI's going to be my next costuming attempt, I've almost finished the HOT FUZZ costume i've been working on. I've tried to find a source of the vest they wear, but had no luck, so I'm looking to see if I can get www.thevestguy.com (who I know from SG costuming boards) to make one for me.
  16. Well I've a few finishing touches to do but here's something I'll be wearing sometime @ CM. "Here Come The Fuzz"

The jacket I picked up at Matalan a couple of years back now the only mods I made to it was to remove the zip (was a horrid brass one) while the zip was out cut out the shapes and attatched the panels to the inside, I attached a new zip and made the storm flap from a bit of spare fabric, finally attached velcro for the patches. think it only took me about a few days to do. The trousers i'm using are just your average BDU trousers. If your planning a similar jacket with panels, just start by finding a suitable base jacket that you can modify. If it has a normal collar it can be trimmed down to shape. If you're not keen on cutting the jacket to fit panels I have known people to sew them straight onto the front of the jacket... On the other hand Sheppard and McKay were wearing plain BDU Shirts & Trousers with the patches attached, that's a less complicated option if you want to go down that road.

That's the OJB (Order of Jonas' Banana). Not sure how they came to be. I've done and will be wearing my O.world black to Collectormania, I've also done an Atlantis costume which I may bring as an alternative to change into. I'm just waiting on a jacket to complete my O.World greens but don't know if that will be here before May. I've spoken to a couple of people on another forum who will also be coming in costume to CM I think in O.World black also. I'm in the process of putting together a Hot Fuzz Costume for CM at the moment, if you have any questions on SG costumes don't hesitate to ask I've been putting mine together over several years now and if I'm not sure of an answer I can probably direct you to the person/persons who do.
  19. Peter has also written, produced and directed many episodes of SG-1 & Atlantis as well as having on screen cameo roles.

    Not long left

With less than 24 hours to go until the final episode of SG-1 on Sky One. I just thought I would start a thread to see if anyone is doing anything special to watch/celebrate/mourn this last ever episode.
