  1. I thought Tyson was a major coup for Showmasters and despite the price look how many people paid up . And there were people in the queue getting getting several items signed at £75 a go . You do the maths - total receipts from him must have been huge. Interesting as well to see peoples comparisons to him. In my mind a comparable sports guest would be David Beckham. From TV/ film, with all due respect David tennant and Sarah Michelle gellar ( who are both fantastic ) are nowhere near Tysons league. I'd put him on par with Stallone, Arnie or Harrison Ford - that kind of level. A real master stroke getting him I thought.
  2. Did anyone meet Nicola Cunningham ? she was the lady who played the zombie woman who appeared in the garden near the start of the Shaun of The dead movie- the bit where Shaun Pegg and Nick Frost were throwing the vinyl records at her . She was brilliant . we had a bit of a chat about the film and then I asked her if she would pose for a pic and pretend to be a zombie. I was really suprised when she agreed -She pulled a great face for the photo. Classic !
  3. I thought Mike was brilliant. I asked about 3 people who were in the first signing batch what he was like, ie did he shake hands, did he speak etc and they all said there was no acknowledgement, just signed the photo and that was it. When my turn came I found him to be brilliant. I said " how are you Mike" he said "I'm fine thanks are you ". I said yes, brilliant thanks. Then I said "pleasure to meet you Mike" to which he replied "pleasure to meet you too" . I offered a handshake and he genuinely acknowledged me with a smile and gave me a good handshake ! Short, but absolutely brilliant meeting, one I'll never forget.
  4. Thanks Indio, that's lovely, so glad to hear about the photo with Ernie, who was an amazing guest and a lovely man. Same with Leslie who loved meeting everyone, a privilege all round to work with both and see people have a great time, always makes me smile and definitely what the shows are about (for me and the rest of the crew!) I would like to add my comments that the staff were absolutely fantastic at the show. In particular there was one lady member of staff( sorry but I didnt get her name ) who helped my wife and myself out with a request we had for Leslie Nielson and a photo. I wont go into the details, but she was brilliant and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The same went for andrew who was organising the photo shoot queues. Top show, really enjoyed it and will be back for future shows . 10 out of 10 to all concerned
  5. Hi, are there any of these prints still available to buy ? I am attending on Sunday ( probably early entry ) can anyone advise if I can still buy one when I arrive ? Many thanks
  6. Richard Chaves was just brilliant , a very big 10 out of 10 from me . I met him on sunday, and he stood up shook my hand with warmth and just chatted like we were old mates ! I told him how brilliant Predator was and asked him what Arnie was like. He described him as the most brilliant man he had ever met. Fantasticly intelligent with a brilliant business brain and incredibly sharp wit. He also said he would never let Richard smoke cigarettes, he would take them off him and give him the best quality cigars like the ones he smoked himself. Not encouraging him to smoke , but if you do then only smoke the best ! A really fantastic guest and a pleasure to meet him . I met about ten guests yesterday , they were all really good but Richard Chaves was the tops for me
  7. Wasnt he also Mike Tysons sparring partner for a long time and then became a commentator when he retired from boxing . Is he still a commentator now ?
