No, it's not? It's still about who's big or not?

He wasn't ALL good fun if you've seen enough of his posts - some of his rude/smart remarks were unprovoked and uneccesary even to mods. And that sig is probably a smoke-screen. I dont think he'd really be that dumb to admit that in his sig...at least I dont think he is but then again... -
Guest cancellation - Stephen Tobolowsky
collector-man replied to showmasters's topic in Collectormania 13
Shame about him. Were you not planning on eating at all or do you eat alot for the day? -
I'm still going and I dont need a "headliner". I'm meeting three guests and I like them enough to make me wanna go. If you like the guest enough, headliner or not, you'll make that trip.
-
"Headliner"? Why do you keep making it sound like a rock festival? When a guest is announced they arent awarded top-billing are they? Their pic might appear at the top of the website but they dont get a bigger desk or anything nor do they get a big light show or more stage time.
-
But those big Heroes guests can only restrict themselves to that particular name cos that's the only thing they're known for. As vintageSW77 said, they're here today gone tomorrow
-
Do you mean me? I was taking the **** when I said that in the other thread
-
That makes no sense - if a big guest is there that doesn't mean I'll think twice about meeting a small guest.
-
Yeah I saw that one. Each to their own, although it is hard to believe that you can be a sci-fi fan and overlook those two! I wouldnt call them a sci-fi fan then.
-
"Some people don't like it"? Well then those people need to grow up and stop crying like a bitch! That's subjective too.
-
My name is Buck... and I've come to...
-
Really? I've never wanted to meet a guest just cos I heard they'd be nice to me!! If I admire their work I'll meet them - it's as simple as that for me. And I wont meet a fit guest purely cos I fancy her either...I wouldnt pay for an auto anwyay. SM announce certian thread announcment as "big" - they know cons and the guests they get, why cant people just trust their judgement? I've always agreed in their judgement of a guest that was labelled "big".
-
"Pinewood", what's that?
-
That's a "big" guest? I thought that was merely a "fan-friendly" guest? Anwyay you can tell a guest is big by just looking at the buzz their guest annoucment thred causes and how busy they are at the con.

What are these things "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" you speak of?

How many are planning to meet NEIL MARSHALL?

Looks almost like a skating rink. What is all that space used for then outside of Collecotrmania? I take it there are other events but what? -
The internet!!! Of course!! OMG! I should have known!! How could I not have thought of that?????!!!!
-
And we might be saying "negative comments" but at least we're doing indio the favour of keeping this trhead bumped...otherwise Jason might not see it!!
-
OMG, just had an idea! I NEED one of them T-shirts with the foam chesterburster sticking out!! Seen 'em before but dunno where to get one!!
-
Yep!! Thats espcially tru from what I've seen on this forum. Do you know any other words?
-
What negative comments?? Shatner?
-
Thats twice you said that now, what do you mean by that>?
-
The more th merrier!!! And only 8 days to go so I guess announcments will be pretty soon.
-
It's also typical of the Sydney Daily Telegraph - an appalling tabloid rag. Sorry to continue this OT subject but it seems the media (AND gen public) are obsessed with who young celebs are dating - they're alway sinterested in if they have a gf/bf or not. I guess its cos we're interested in their loss of "innocence" and journey into adulthood??
