Well I'm booked at the Sheraton now I didn't dare to wait for information from ME which may not have come anyway. Has anyone used the gym at the Sheraton? It looks quite decent looking at the photo. Does anyone know if there a café near to the Sheraton which does a decent breakfast? This being the major downside of switching hotels ... no Thistle breakfast

I'm booked at the Thistle, but am seriously considering switching to the lower priced Sheraton. It is a lot cheaper especially for people travelling on their own. There is no con rate for single rooms at the Thistle which is a major disadvantage. Hijacking the thread somewhat but I was wondering if ME were planning to offer group photoshoots for attendees staying at the Thistle? I know its been done at a few recent cons, but nothing mentioned on the forums yet for Hallowhedon 2. I know its not to be expected and not generally done, but it would really help me out to get a "yes" or "no" because I'm actually only keeping my Thistle reservation on the off chance I'll get rewarded for my "loyalty"

Sorry Chris for not replying to this. I totally missed your post Obviously I'm totally looking forward to seeing you both again! And after last years efforts I can't wait to see your costumes. I'm a bit stuck for ideas even at this late stage, but nothing large amounts of fake blood can't solve (I hope).

I stayed for the chill out party last year. I remember mostly being very cold For some reason the staff insisted on keeping the doors open and it was quite windy. Otherwise the Sunday evening was fun thanks to the company of the friends I made over the weekend. I'll probably be there for the later part of the Sunday evening this year too. I've got some family to catch up with early evening.

Yeah it must be a headache to organize I'm very happy the event is being held and I expect I'll have a great time regardless of any guest announced or not announced after this point. I just fancied discussing the ins and outs seeing as we have little else to do right now

I agree more or less, but I have to admit I don't fully understand the strategy. 1) by not announcing guests ME are allowing potential buyers to continue dreaming that a headlining guest will still come. Early on this works I expect, especially with die hard fans (who were coming anyway), but I believe sceptical, potential attendees are actually waiting for the announcements to happen at this late point before parting with their money - thus rendering this tactic rather useless now. Also there comes a point where it becomes too expensive for a potential attendee to book, even if a really special guest were to be announced. I'm flying from Sweden and I have already bought my plane ticket. If I were to book my flight today it would cost me 3 times as much. So even if SMG were announced I probably wouldn't be able to come, had I been waiting for announcements. Its not like with the hotel where you can cancel the same day. I have to commit early if I'm going to attend. 2) if smaller-part guests are what we are to expect then why not announce at least one of them now? I've read a number of times about how hard the negotiations are, but smaller guests are presumably cheaper and more available to book. The only reason I can think of for not announcing one now is that the nearer the event, the cheaper the guests become. I can't help feeling that an announcement now would lead to more silvers and golds being sold (even if it ware a smaller guest). My reasoning being that silvers and golds are breakeven money-wise at around 4 guests. A fifth guest would allow the economic, potential attendee to make a calculated decision based on fact. 3) there are no more guests ... nahhh I refuse to believe that! Bit of a waffle but hey it's Friday See you guys soon !!!

Not sure exactly but I registered about 3pm last year, and there were already a load of people who had already registered. I'll definately be at the pub for the meet-up I'll be making my way down to the pub straight after registration, so if its anything like last year I'll be there about 4 ish. It's going to be awesome to see you all again

I'd frankly be very surprised if there weren't any more guest announcements. In fact, it wouldn't be unfair to expect 2 more guests. My reasoning is that the homepage, at this point in time, still states "Further guests to be announced!" and that really cannot be misinterpreted. So I'm all high hopes ... at least until the homepage is updated

My gut feeling says the next guest will be a Buffy guest. My guesses are: Elizabeth Anne Allen (Amy) George Hertzberg (Adam) Iyari Limon (Kennedy) .. or maybe one of the other potentials. If I'm right you can all buy me a drink ok?

Hi Corinne! Its me Steve. We met at a con recently which I'm not allowed to mention here I've got my flight booked so things look very good for me coming to Hallowhedon 2 so you'll know me at least I'll also be at the pub meet up too if I arrive as planned.

I'll be getting my ticket soonish too. gold - silver hmm still not sure. In fact I'd appreciate it if Showmasters could wait with new guest announcements until after I've made up my mind and purchased my ticket (reverse psychology might work. who knows) I'm actually more worried about getting cheap flight tickets booked as that's more of a lottery so I may buy those first if a cheapish deal turns up. I'll definately be doing one other con this year, but three or more isn't going to happen

I haven't booked yet, but I can't see me missing Hallowhedon 2. The first Hallowhedon was great and I came by myself. As TomV pointed out in an earlier post, the pub is the place to meet

The good: Well most things actually! I had a great time. I was on there my own and I wasn't sure how that would go, but I met some amazing people at the meet up and in the queues. During the day everything flowed nicely and having a gold ticket I was busy most of the time. Special thanks to Debbie (crew) who really went out of her way to make sure I was ok. The first two parties were great especially Saturday night when everyone made such an effort with their costumes. Amazing fun on the dancefloor too Great guests too! The bad: not much! The drinks reception was ... awkward. I got there a few minutes late so I didn't really know the rules. I didn't want to squeeze to the front but that meant not having a chance of meeting anyone. The convention area on the Sunday evening. We really felt the Thistle wanted us to clear out :) It was cold and the lighting was too bright for ages and did I mention it was cold. Also it was clear the the event was over seeing as all the crew had gone :) The thistle staff generally sucked. Ok they were better at breakfast but otherwise not very helpful. Too few so you always had to queue and never very friendly. The actual hotel was roughly what I expected.

Im at Arlanda airport now drinking coffee waiting to board in half an hour. No turning back now
