  1. Generally a couple of weeks after an event. Sometimes sooner. Sometimes later.
  2. I have already replied to you regarding this.
  3. You suggested that Showmasters don't have a duty of care to the staff, volunteers, guests & customers while attending the event & that locked fire doors isn't their responsiblilty. If there was a fire there & the escapes were locked Showmasters as well as the Earls Court would be in serious legal trouble, especially if there had been fatalities. As I mentioned your interpretation of my comment was misunderstood. Additionally the moderators, as has been mentioned many times, are volunteers. We are not employed by Showmasters. You seem to be implying that I/we are. You seem to be speaking on their behalf and made a statement that was untrue. If you are unaware of the law it's probably best not to make comments like that. I did not - you misunderstood my statement as I have pointed out.
  4. At what point did this happen? The vast majority of the guests were sat signing in the of the centre of Earls Court.
  5. Your specific one was probably removed because it was just a duplication of something that has been stated elsewhere. The threads that have been removed since the event are because they broke forum rules in some form or another. In most cases it was multiple posts within a thread.

  7. It should have been, and certainly was in one area on Saturday. Did you speak to the crew in the area concerned? And/or the pit boss (red crew shirt)? It didn't happen for me, I showed the blue shirt my pass, and she directed me to the back of the queue. I started to explain, but mid sentence was told to 'wait there, I'll be back in a mo', and she never returned. Sorry about that. If it happens again please speak to the pit boss in the area at the time, and it will be resolved there and then.
  8. My query about did anyone raise their concerns is genuine. Personally it wasn't something that bothered me as I assume if a building (especially an event based one) is open to the public then it complies with all fire safety regulations, and is checked on a regular basis. General comment - if people have a concern about something like that then please raise it at the earliest opportunity with an appropriate person. Saying about it after the event just means that nothing can be done at the time. That applies to anything in life.
  9. Taking your slightly insulting comment about hiring 'professionally trained staff' (the crew may not be professionals but they are trained and not in the way you have stated). If that were to happen it is quite likely that the additional costs would result in an extreme increase in the costs of entry/auto/photo/talk prices. Far more than the average attendee would be prepared to pay. Especially considering people complain about the current pricing.
  10. That is down to the venue not event organisers. Oh well, thank god we didn't have a fire then! Are you serious? It should be one of the main things that should be checked! If an emergency arose (like a fire) how many people would of found a safe fire escape? They put us in serious danger Hmmm, you all appear to have misunderstood me. I was simply saying that any chaining of fire doors would have been done by Earls Court not Showmasters. Just curious, did any of you actually speak to a member of Earls Court or Showmasters about your concerns regarding chaning of doors. There were still mutliple exit routes available, including the massive loading doors at the back of the venue which could have been opended easily if needed Why would I check my lawers?
  11. Correct to the first part. No VT's - There is not an official limit that I am aware of.

  13. The event has ended for attendees but not SM. They are still there closing it down and will be back in the office until later in the week.
  14. The site is here http://showmasters.photoshelter.com Normally the photos are uploaded a couple of weeks after an event. Images are £4.99 each
  15. Pit bosses do have radios, and have had for a number of events.
  16. I left the venue at 7.30pm and as far as I am aware Stan will be there tomorrow.
  17. Photo shoots are not the place for chats. Generally a 'hi' is the most you will have time for before the photo is taken and you are moved along.
  18. Yes bags etc are handed to crew on entry and collected on the way out.
  19. That won't be possible if they are being refunded automatically.
  20. They can be found here http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84960&page=1
