  1. Just more comic people. It is a 'comic con' after all. How about Stan Sakai - fantastic author, always happy to meet fans, big reputation here in the UK.
  2. They tend to only want to draw things from their own body of work - it would be like asking a Star Wars guest to sign a Star Trek poster !! There will be loads of Toy Story stuff for sale at the event though....
  3. Exactly the same as you! I'm also a Liverpool fan. Not been able to get to see them yet as I don't live too near really. Have been to plenty of other matches and even seen England at Wembley. Also LOVE my movies so I don't think there is any segrigation between the two interests really and this is the first I've heard it suggested. It amazes me that people can say they are a "fan" of a club without ever seeing them play. It's not that expensive to see games (Liverpool were selling tickets on a General Sale to a league cup game for £15 last season....), and if you are genuinely a fan you'd do everything you can to see your team play. I'm an avid Brighton fan, and go to see as many games as I can despite living in Leeds. I'm also a "movie geek" as well, so you can be both.
  4. Hi As some of you know, i'm stuck away from home at the moment and haven't received my main order of tickets yet. Some of the moderators have kindly told me that I could take my e-mail confirmation along to the organiser's desk on Saturday morning to sort it all out - could I do this on Friday instead? I'd like to get things sorted so I can just start on Saturday as normal... Cheers
  5. Thanks QS - much appreciated. I think there's some clashes that are unavoidable, especially Karen Gillan and Derek Jacobi.
  6. As expected, I'm now having to work away from home for the next two weeks, so will be arriving in London on the Saturday morning for LFCC. However, this throws up a number of problems, and I could do with some advice from people about how to deal with these.... 1. My main order hasn't arrived yet - from talking to people on here before, I should be ok just bringing my printed order confirmation along to the desk at the start of the event. Is this still the case? 2. I have booked a number of photo shoots on the Sat (Jacobi, Gillan, Knepper, Gresch, Tena) plus the Karen Gillan talk. Will I be able to do all these, or will some clash? If they clash, can I swap the tickets for something else (autograph tokens)? 3. I have also booked some stuff for Sunday, but I might not now be able to attend. I know I wouldn't be able to get a refund on my entrance ticket, but could I exchange some of the photo shoot tickets for things on the Saturday? Think that's everything - any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  7. Well - just spoke to the office on the number quoted above, and their response was "We don't deal with queries about bookings in this office". Sadly - no help at all. Looks like i'll have to chance my luck on the day. Thanks to everyone on here who's posted.
  8. Hi A couple of weeks ago (10th June), I placed two orders at the online store - I haven't received either of these through the post yet, even though I paid for Recorded Delivery. Now, I've just found out that I need to go away for work next week, and there's a small chance I might have to go straight to the con from work on the Saturday. If this is the case, what happens with my order if it hasn't arrived? Has anyone got the number for the online store so that I can give them a call? Cheers !!
  9. Sorry to put a negative spin on this thread, but this is meant to be the LondonFilm&ComicCon, yet there are hardly any comic guests at all. One of the main reason I come to this sort of convention is to meet the comic authors and illustrators, yet this year is a real disappointment in this area. Some of the guests are fantastic, such as Karen Gillan and Sylvester McCoy (I will be having a photo with both of these), but they are television guests, not film or comic. The three models certainly look nice, but they have no connection to films or comics. Showmasters - if you are going to move focus more towards this sort of area, then perhaps you need to rename the convention next year - how about the LondonFilmandTelevisionCon?
  10. Hi I've been to LFCC for the last two years, but have never bought an autograph there (only ever got photoshoots before). So, how does the purchasing of autographs work? Can we pre-order them online (I can't see anywhere on the shop to do this), or do we have to pay in cash at the venue? Cheers !
  11. Leeds, although have booked 3 nights in a hotel in London so I can be there nice and early.
  12. Jason & Showmasters, Whilst I understand the point you are trying to make, I think you're wrong to simply write people with low post counts off as 'trolls'. I've got a relatively low postcount, mainly due to the fact that LFCC is the only event I attend each year, and I tend to just sort things out myself rather than posting things on here. However, according to your post above, I must be a 'troll'. Just seems a bit of a sweeping statement, that's all. For the record, I'm very excited about Karen being announced, and have already booked two photoshoots with her. It would be nice if you could come on here and respond to this - i'd be interested to hear your point of view. Kev.
  13. Well I would certainly like the addresses of a couple of them ;-) To be honest mate, I think getting their home address is unlikely..
  14. Yeah, I see the point. I just wonder if the money spent on Tyson could have been spent on some 'A' list film stars for the day. If it was the choice between Tyson and someone like David Tennant, or Sarah Michelle Gellar, or even Alyson Hannigan, I know who i'd prefer.... Glad everyone enjoyed it though.
  15. There was a dealer there on both days, doing original artwork as well as selling her own prints. She had a gothic look about her (dressed all in black with red hair), and was absolutely fantastic. Does anyone know what her company was called? I'd love to know more about her....
