  1. Tell me about it - this was my birthday present too. Not sure if it's worth going now as JF was the main reason for going. (The other was to see PV who's working there but we can meet up any time!). I may just give my tickets to a couple of friends who want to go.
  2. So what happens if like me, you're not doing autographs? I've only booked the one photoshoot and am not interested in getting an auto - is there somewhere else to collect the VQ ticket?
  3. Forgot to say: if that should happen for some reason you can "upgrade" the late entry to Early Bird on the day, so you won't miss the shoot. Thank you both for all your advice - I've bought EB tickets for the Saturday.
  4. Cool - thank you for letting me know. So if we don't go for EB tickets, we'll just make sure we're there for 11am. I'm only having the one photoshoot anyway (I don't normally do them, but it's Jonathan Frakes... and my birthday!) - and I'm not interested in getting autographs - so I'd be most miffed to miss the shoot!
  5. Although I've been to other SM events, this will be my first LFCC; how do the photoshoots work? Are they like at say, The Hub, where people queue up at a set time, go into a room, have the photo done, collect the photo later? Or is there a different method? Also, the timings - are they announced prior to the shows or on the mornings of them? I only ask because we'll be coming to London for the day by train, so obviously we'd like to get to the show in good time. Presumably the shoots won't be before lunchtime if standard entry is at 11am? Finally, what are the benefits of getting an early bird ticket? Is it just that by going in at 9 instead of 11, the place is less crowded? Are there any other benefits? Thanks!
  6. Oohh yes - Scorpius is my favourite character. I do love Zhaan though!
  7. I've had a massive crush on him for about 23 years! I've always said he's the only person I would ever be fangirlish over... <gulp> ! So now I have to break my 'I don't do photos and autographs rule'! Such a hardship. NOT!
  8. If only it wasn't a PS3 exclusive I work in the games industry, so for me, games guests would be like a busman's holiday! Still, if Jason Isaacs were to put in appearance, I wouldn't complain!
  9. Thank you Shel - much appreciated! Glad you like the pics too! :-) Starfighter, your links go to private pages only :-(
  10. <snip> Shel - do you know Heather's Facebook name? She was dressed as Tinkerbell and was chatting at your table with Kacey (with the bronze wire wings) and Goldilocks at the table next to us in the bar (we had Garth the Gargoyle)? I got a great pic of her, and wanted to let her know. My pics are here - unfortunately my camera doesn't like taking pics in the dark, so some of the party pics didn't come out.
  11. How's it coming along now, Dean?
  12. At least you never saw my ex dressed as him, less Goblin King, more Bloblin King! Now that was a wrong thing! Oh dear!
  13. @ Angie and Jules - you two are wronger than wrong things at wrong parties! Jareth -
  14. Dark Knight.... or Star Trek again!
  15. Keeping fingers crossed for you. **Wonders if it's wrong to think there are worse things than being nibbled on the neck by a Weevil?!!**
  16. You know that old saying about three being a crowd? 81 days to go! (And you can add me to the list of cons and theatres but substitute concerts with galleries and restaurants!)
  17. I emailed about a month ago but haven't heard anything back yet, so have no way of knowing whether it got through and has been disregarded, or whether it got junked!
  18. That was my first thought - that it would be something to do with the Susan Cooper books.
  19. I have the latter; not because I'm too lazy to do my own housework but because both my partner and I work full-time+, and neither of us want to spend our free time doing chores. A self-cleaning house would be fab but I'd miss my cleaner's quirks... although granted, I'd then be able to find things! What I'd absolutely love however (apart from a holodeck and a replicator of course!), is a site-to-site transporter which was capable of beaming me from the sofa when I fall asleep on it, to being snuggled up in bed! Am loving the names for the cons; I think 'Hailing Frequencies Open' is my favourite so far! As for guests - to be honest I wouldn't mind who they were but my absolute dream guests would be Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner. If I could be greedy, I'd love Chris Pine and William Shatner too, especially on stage together; I was so impressed with CP's Shatnerisms in the new film. He got him perfectly! And since this is probably going to be the only place I can use this smiley.... Heheh!
  20. In order of preference: Matt Rippy Peter Capaldi Bryan Dick Louise Delamere Murray Melvin John Barrowman
  21. Aaahh, were you the 'Evil Capt. Jack from the Parallel Universe' who I spoke to outside the ladies'?
  22. Have you looked here? I suspect you might find something in the Napoleonic uniform section. Quite a few of my friends use them on a regular basis, and I've seen first-hand the quality of the work and materials; their stuff is excellent and well worth the money.
  23. I don't think people are complaining at all! To me they just sound excited, wondering who (if any) the new guests might be, and trying to find the best way of covering all eventualities whilst still being practical. For me, these things are so much simpler - I'm not interested in getting autographs! Never have been!

Awww, Dean I'm so sorry to hear that. Still, better luck next time eh? And you still have the hand!
