  1. That IS her current policy, to not sign X-Files memorabilia. The X-related items recently auctioned were donated by various dealers and collectors. I don't see her having the interest to do a signing show, there was no indication at a recent charity event I attended with her, that she planned to in the future. Also, I suspect that appearing so soon after that event would seriously **** off the people who paid £100+ for a ticket, and £100 for a photograph with her. Proceeds to charity of course...!
  2. Nice announcement. Shame Stargate Atlantis hasn't even aired over here yet...
  3. This should keep the SW fans happy, even if Colley, Dry, Home and Blake are stalwarts of the UK Con scene...
  4. I could post the details, but it would get deleted right away for rule infringement - discussion of alternative events is not allowed. Feel free to e-mail me if you want to chat offline
  5. Me too, im already up to £220 for C6! holy cr*p, i dont even have that saved and im off to 3 conventions.lol in october. Just the three? Four events for me, plus three more in November plus a possible trip to the NEC - eek!
  6. As I recall from the Wolf boards, the organisers stated that Amanda (or her representation) had price expectations that they were not prepared to meet.
  7. ...bloody hell! where do you put it all!? Currently its all kept in acid free sleeves and binders. The only thing I have on display is a Stargate poster with around 35 signatures on it!
  8. At last count, 650 signed Star Trek items, including 457 signed CCG cards and around 200 signed photos, from 275 different actors. In my X-Files collection, 516 signed items from 222 different actors. Haven't collated my Buffy/Angel, Xena/Hercules, Stargate or Babylon 5 collections, but I must have over 1800 autographs by now. Just so glad that I didn't get into collecting Lord of the Rings...
  9. Dougie can be contacted through Bruce Smith (as I recall) at Omnipop - try omnipop.com Probably inappropriate to be sharing round his personal e-mail, go through his agent and if he wants to reply, he will!
  10. Dougie is one of the nicest guys and it was great to see him get a huge break after almost 20 years in the business. I spent my birthday with him a couple of years back and it would be great to see him over here again - (hint to the Showmasters...!)
  11. Unlikely - Teryl is making a number of appearances for a Convention organiser later this year...
  12. I read that Jessica Alba has recently got the part of the Invisible Girl in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie...
  13. Signing autographs for everyone waiting at the stage door after every evening performance isn't fan friendly...?
  14. I believe it was £15 or £20, but I think £15. Im probably totally wrong though, I didnt get her auto. As I recall, she was charging £15 for her photos, but only £5 on your own item. Excellent value, shame more don't do this. This topic has of course, been done to death...
  15. Although he played the character, Dougie didn't do the voice of Abe Sapien...
  16. Charge for Robert Patrick was £10 - you had to buy a photo from the organisers to be signed, but that entitled you to a free signature on something else too! I suspect that the price will be double at his nexct appearance...
  17. Those responsible for bringing Eliza over have stated that unfortunately her schedule will only allow for one appearance... grrrr
  18. WHAT???? how du know for certain??? muh can't afford to go to *ahem*venue xx Because those respobsible for bringing her over have stated this to be the case. Her schedule and costs have been cited as the reasons.
  19. this appearance HAS been confirmed as a one-off...
  20. You need to find something acid free - the chemicals in pvc wallets could discolour your photos in time. Take a look at the preservation stuff that these people sell to learn more... http://www.preservationequipment.com/
  21. Because its a forum... A place to express views and opinions... A silly little issue to you might be a great big one for someone else...
  22. Showmasters, I have a question, rather than a comment, on the timing of your events. The dates for Collectormania 5 were announced some time after tickets went on sale for a major Buffy convention, and the next LFCC event clashes with a previously announced Stargate convention. There was a time when organisers planned their events around eachother, to avoid disappointment as obviously fans can't be in two places at the same time. I wondered why the dates in November, which clash with another event had been picked?
  23. Don't know about the first question, but yes to the second...
