Jason said that they are in Star Wars, Empire and ROTJ - which I assume means all three of the original films. Frank Oz was not in Star Wars (ANH). Re-reading the original post and I could be wide of the mark in reading too much into the "show long remembered" comment. The only possibilities as I see it are Denis Lawson and James Earl Jones. I would also thinkg JEJ is primarily known for his voice and his voice is primarily known for being that of Darth Vader, so I can see him being announced as a SW guest.

Main supporting cast member that was in all 3 of the original trilogy. So, from that Frank Oz is definitely ruled out as he only appeared in Episodes V & VI. I don't think Wedge would count as a main supporting member that everyone would know of. There are no other characters I would consider as main supporting characters in all 3 films who is a first time signer, so my logic tells me it has to be James Earl Jones as Vader is the only "supporting" character in all three movies that would constitute a guest that everyone knows and would want to meet. And in my excitement I've just shot another load!

My guess is that it is James Earl Jones. The clue in the original thread is this: "This will be a show long remembered". The line in A New Hope delivered by Vader: "This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Kenobi, it will soon see the end of the Rebellion" Oh Yes! Yes!! Amazing!!!!

Agreed. Perhaps also getting Steve Spiers back would be cool too? Jar Jar, Boss Nass and Capt. Tarpals. Sounds like a whole bunch of awesome to me. Really still quite excited about Ahmed. That would be a quality line-up. Hell, why not just go out and do a big TPM guest list now!!!

I think this is spot on. I too have very fond memories of Episode I in terms of my Star Wars fandom. It brought me back to a place I had longed for since the mid-80's! Once again I was able to collect Star Wars on a mass scale. It brought the saga back to life. I also think too much is made of Jar Jar's annoyance. I feel pretty sorry for Ahmed in that respect as he went from having a lot of work to do in Episode I, to next to nothing across the two sequels that he had signed up for. It'll be interesting to hear what he made of all the negativity and how - if at all - it affected him in his approach to being involved with Eps II and III. One thing is certain about Jar Jar - he was a hit with the kids and I can't wait for my son (currently 6 months old) to be introduced to the saga. When I get the chance to sit down and watch the films with him, I can guarantee that Jar Jar will be one of his favourite characters - and that in turn will probably make him one of mine!! This really is a great guest for any Star Wars fan. Thanks a lot SM for pulling this out of the bag. Now, please get on at Maki to sort Carrie out with another trip over!!

I think the chances are he would more likely be referred to as a 1st time LOTR guest than a Star Wars guest to be honest. Like you say, he is probably more famous for his work outside of Star Wars, and Dooku wasn't really as prominent a character as he could have been. I always thought Dooku could have been used to fulfil the Grievous role, but Lucas killed Dooku off just so he could have another play with a CGI character that he could market merchandise around. I think Ahmed Best seems to be the most likely option. Though I would be chuffed with either Frank Oz or James Earl Jones, especially with it being the anniversary year of Empire. I would love to see Carrie back over - it's been a number of years since she came to an event in the UK, so surely she's due an appearance?! Having Hamill back again would be good - but only as long as the signing/queuing process isn't as farcical as it was last time!

This is what I really don't get about the pricing at some of these events. Surely, the lesser actors would get much more interest and demand should their pricing be more tailored to the screen time they had. It's one of the reasons I've never bothered with a lot of the background characters from Bond, Star Wars, etc - I just don't think the pricing structure is right. As an example, Kenny Baker is usually £15 at events. Yet, someone who was in a Stormtrooper outfit or who appeared in an Alien suit in the background at the Cantina charges £10. It's not relative if you ask me.

Or Sigourney..... She might be busy shooting the sequel to 'Snake', that blockbuster in the Orange ads.. Tetris... ? Snake II, surely?!

I don't care what you would or wouldn't do, to be honest. I've been around these parts long enough to have fathomed how these "postponments" usually come about...
