  1. Something Charlie said in both his guest encounter and his talks really had an effect on me, when he was discussing being able to see two definite paths that his life could take and how he needed to make important choices about which one he wanted to go down it rang true to myself as well. And he's definitely helped inspire me to do something I actually want to do with my life (and to believe that it could be possible!) so I applied to my local University and I have an informal interview with them next week to discuss studying Screenwriting and Drama! So I just sort of wanted to say thanks to him for being him, as it's helping me to be me.
  2. I was in Charlie's guest encounter on the Sunday (unfortunately missing out on Jamie's talk before he left, but the encounter more than made up for it!) and he was brilliant. Not arrogant in the slightest, it just seems like if someone asks him a question he genuinely wants to answer it, rather than coming out with the first funny thing he can think of... but having said that, he does like his banter which is nice!
  3. definitely in agreement here for ben barnes as a guest!
  4. brilliant, thanks for the quick reply, I'll do that now!
  5. Just bought two tickets (wahey!!) but for some reason the comments box didn't load up on the computer I'm using...who do I need to contact to give the names for my order to?
  6. YES,YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!
  7. as much as getting Jim Beaver would be fabulous (fabulous!!) I had to go for JDM...I think if Showmasters managed to get him, I might melt into a big puddle. Not great for the photoshoot, but swings and roundabouts really. (also picked Alona Tal and Rob Benedict)
  8. wasn't about to waste my money on a Supernatural con with ANYONE else after all the horror stories, so THANK YOU Showmasters for putting this event on, and I'll def be trying to get as many people to go as possible!! Thanks again!!
  9. Big vote here for Misha! He was absolutely brilliant at Collectormania, lovely to everyoneand very funny in the talks, so definitely would like to see him at Roadhouse!
  10. Had an absolutely fantastic time, thankyou Showmasters for putting on what was for me the best con yet!! I went for Misha Collins (who was a complete sweetheart and very funny) and had an added surprise with Julie McNiven being there, but I didn't realise I would have such a good time checking out all the dealers tables too! And can I just say that everyone I met at Collectormania was really friendly and nice, especially some of Misha's Minions who actually took the time to come up while I was drawing at one of the tables to say that liked my Misha/Julie pictures, that meant a lot! Will definitely be attending next year, and thought the venue was awesome. PS - HURRAH for a Supernatural Convention! If Showmasters do run one, I 100% would be there!
  11. Hi David, thanks - I've checked that all details are present and correct and sadly, still no confirm order button. EDIT I added a new address for shipping, which is just the same address that was already on there anyway, and then was able to get through to the payment details and finally confirmation woohoo! just in case anyone has the same problem :)
  12. I'm having extreme problems trying to order anything on the online shop, either my computer is not loading a "Finalise Order/Complete Order" button, or I just can't find it! A friend has tried to complete an order via the site to and neither of us can complete our order. Is there any other way to buy or reserve the photoshoots/tickets for the Supernatural talk, I would be gutted if I missed out on Misha
  13. I had a really great time, the guests were absolutely fantastic and the talks were a definite highlight. The parties were brilliant, the decorations were great and the karaoke on Sunday was really fun! Negative points were people pushing in ahead of their ticket numbers, that was a big problem, I was G5 and ended up in the second row on Friday, having been pushed out the way by people who were significantly higher numbers than mine...and when we were all being let in on Sunday the girl next to me flashed her pass which was Group 2 as she snuck in with G1-10... The only other major complaints I have is that the attitude of some of the crew members was absolutely horrendous. I do not appreciate being spoken to like a child (and on more than one occasion) - if you hate crewing then don't volunteer. Most of the crew were polite and helpful but a couple really spoiled it, in my opinion :/ The other thing that really got on my nerves was attendees who thought they were running the convention and were trying to order people around, being rude to other attendees - there's just no need for it, we all bought tickets, we're all in the same position, no-one has the right to order anyone else around. But I don't want to end on such a negative note because I really did have a brilliant time!! Rachelle is an absolute sweetheart, Edi is one of the funniest people ever, Gil is a fantastic guy, Chaske seems really kind and friendly (great laugh too) and Tyson is just brilliant. The dealer's room was a lot better this year, being able to ask guests questions ourselves was great, and everything seemed to be running pretty much like clockwork for most of the time, well done to Showmasters for putting on an awesome event! Can't wait til ET3!
  14. I think I may be a little in love with this man haha. Dammit showmasters, I can feel my credit card calling to me...
  15. I voted for Stephen, Ryan and Alexander - but for the last category I was so tempted by Michael Raymond-James - i LOVE his accent in True Blood! I would be very happy if he were a guest
  16. OH MY GOODNESS...i NEED to go to this con!! thank you showmasters for putting this on!
  17. Yes, Yes a THOUSAND times yes for Taylor Kitsch! He was brilliant as Gambit in Wolverine : Origins, and not only that but I'm rather a fan of him in Friday Night Lights too! I don't know what I would do if he was announced as a guest! (apart from spend lots of money haha)
  18. Wow, I can't believe how rude and ungrateful some people on this board are. HURRAH FOR GIL!! That is a fantastic guest announcement, can't wait to meet him!! Him and Billy Burke together as well is just incredible, perfect for this New Moon con... Thanks to the person who pointed out he was in Buffy as well, I flipping knew I'd seen him somewhere! Thanks to showmasters again for getting Gil, can't wait till October!
  19. I actually think he'll make a great Aro too! But its going to look weird next to the young'un playing Caius....Man that casting still annoys me!! But looking forward to seeing what Martin Sheen will do with the character :) ...just been brought to my attention - apparently MICHAEL Sheen and MARTIN Sheen are two different people not so weird now....
  20. Right. Doubt they're going to spend the money to age him *that* much...Just stating that this part seems totally miscast, but I would be totally happy to be proved wrong
  21. I actually think he'll make a great Aro too! But its going to look weird next to the young'un playing Caius....Man that casting still annoys me!! But looking forward to seeing what Martin Sheen will do with the character :)
  22. Oh man... this is terrible. No offense to the actor but why have they cast such a young person for the part of Caius?! When Carlisle was with Aro, Caius and Marcus he was supposed to have blended in with them, not look like a babysitter. What next, Zac Efron as Aro? Daniel Radcliffe for Marcus? C'mon casting people, stop making the franchise into even more of a tweenfest when there is still the possibility it could try and capture some of the darker elements of the book. Ps the person that mentioned Gary Oldman - Kudos to you! He would make a great Aro in my opinion... I mean, the way things are going Renesme is going to be dropped off into Bellas healthy waiting arms by a stork!
  23. I LOL'd at the whole thing. Him calling her a b*tch was too far, that may have been his opinion of her, but he got carried away. And he would have been justified keeping his comments short, just saying how rude he thought she was - the look on her face was coming from the fact she got asked whether kissing scenes ever got any easier (which c'mon, is quite a normal question, she's definitely not the first one to have been asked) and I'm afraid if I had got the same reaction from her I wouldn't have been too nice about it either. The Twilight question was in response to that. I say fair play to Dan Levy for commenting on something that obviously meant a lot to him (her rudeness towards his co-host) although I do admit he went too far, but to all those saying how awkward and shy she is just like Rob Pattinson - he's constantly charming and funny in interviews, and he gets asked a lot more of the same things than she does. She needs to learn to handle herself better, her age can only be used as an excuse for so long.
  24. I could see that being a problem....if the band was planning on playing for the entire duration of the party. Which they probably wouldn't be.
  25. Exactly! So not only is she "Like, so Hott right now." she's also psychic.
