1. Er, Croydon isn't even really in London. Croydon is basically a large town south of London that is the nearest sizeable conurbation to GatwicK Airport. That said, allegedly it's not that far from London. According to the hotel website (http://londonhotels.jurysdoyle.com/croydon/) it's a 5 minute walk from the hotel to East Croydon train station, then a 20 minute train ride from there to Victoria station. From there it's about another 20 minutes by tube on a westbound District line to Earl's Court. You can check on first and last tube times (and any planned maintenance on the District line) at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tube/ and you can check on train times (and again for any maintenance closures) for the Victoria-East Croydon jaunt at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ You can also check train times and prices at http://www.thetrainline.com/ 954371 Oh cool man, thanks for that. I'll have a look at those. My brothers girlfriend reckons it's about 15 minutes away by train or something? I hope so, but if you're right I'll have to set a time allowance. 954397 OK, the train time looks to actually be 17 minutes from East Croydon to Victoria, and 10 minutes on the tube from Victoria to Earl's Court. Add on 5 minutes walk from hotel to station, time to change from train to tube and wait for tube, I reckon you'll be looking at 40 minutes minimum. But Croydon to Earl's Court "15 minutes away by train or something" - only if that something is a helicopter (Is your brother's girlfriend the sort of lass who when she's getting ready to go out somewhere says she'll be "two minutes" and then spends the next quarter of an hour or more fussing with her hair and make-up? If so, you know how accurate her estimation of time is! ) 954435 Yeah true enough. She's lived in London all her life so I had a tendency to belive her. But yours sounds a bit more accurate so I'll go with that. thanks very much.

3. I've always wanted to get into Lost cos I'm told it's good, but it's only shown on a Monday here on RTE1 and I rarely watch that channel as it is... But I think that if I did get into it, I probably still wouldn't want their autographs... 7 auto's woah, that's gonna be pricey. well, it would be for me at least.
4. what burgers? 1/10 Spicy Chicken Baguette from the chippers. mmmmm
5. I'll try my hand at winning!
6. Not in the slightest. I have zero interest in "The Big Three" myself to be honest.
7. Me too. But I got no Gold Pass. costs way way too much and the site doesn't really make it seem worth it. 953627 u wont be saying that on the day, its gonna be buuuuuuuuusy! 953733 I'm dually prepared for that, but the Gold Pass says you can join the back of any queue, so no matter what, I'd be waiting just as long as I would without it until it got close to my V.T. (Wich by the way, what would be a good number to allow before joining the queue? would it be 100, 50, 20? or would it be a case of just join the queue and wait it out?) Cos not knowing my way around London means I'll more than likely arrive somewhat late. 953744 Gold Pass is worth it if you can afford it and justify the price. Its gonna be manic in the big 3 queues and if im travelling down just to see these guests Im damn sure gonna meet em. Gold Pass therefore was the safest option. snap - If you join the queue early which you can with a Gold Pass without having a VT you are more likely gonna get what you want ie. personalisations etc........... not a guarantee but more likely ive found. Later on no posed photos etc...... usually goes up on the board. Id advise to get in the queues as soon as you can even with your Gold Pass but getting into the building is a lot simpler and quicker with your ticket. You'll have it easy dont worry!! Ive got to get 6 Elijah autos so far so im gonna have to join his queue twice! 953751 6? you gettin em for othe rpeople aswell? My bro might want one or two from the SG crowd.

9. i agree, they're not worth £175. you can pay the charge to get in say a fiver, then depending where you were in the Q then you could meet them by lunchtime, 953684 Yeah considering all things go well... And lucky you Trialia...
10. ...now you're just making Rising Phoenix jealous...lol RP - if you go to the Rebel Legion site in my sig, just send me an email through there if you want, rather than posting on the board. 953665 Will do, I'd rather not post my e-mail here tbh.
11. I'm staying in Jury's cos my bro works there and he'll be getting us a room for 30 sterling a night, between 3 or 4 of us that's a tenner for the the night, times 2 so it'll cost us about 20 sterling for the 2 nights, so I'm happy out. That's what? 28 euro? from sterling to euro? 953629 Not bad. I might've stayed with my cousin, but he lives right across the other side of the city and it's EuroPride on the Saturday so I didn't really want to go through the craziness of the huge crowd that'll be in London. I feel a little guilty for going to the con instead of the march, but I can go to Birmingham Pride instead. :) 953643 Euro Pride? what the hell's that? Argh. do you think it will put a notch on my plans? or would we be okay if we left the place early? (do you think, if anything at all).
12. lol. that's our plan too, cept we might have to leave on the Sunday night... If you happen to see me/notice me, even though you'd have no way of knowing, give us a shout. 953539 We'll be wearing green ribbons (all Torri fans and green is her favourite colour). 953544 WHat you mean? like on yer heads? arms? or just dressed in green in general? 953630 Tied round our wrists, probably. We haven't quite decided yet. They're all the same shade of dark green, anyway. :) 953642 lol. Well, we'll keep an eye out for it come July, . Although, being Irish it's probably us who should be going for the whole Green thing, but we won't be doing that.
13. Same here, but do they normally do them alone or something? I was under the impression that all the same "category" of guests (defined by the shows they're representing) would do a talk together and stuff?? 953537 Well, Torri did one alone in Brisbane, or so I hear, and then she did a group one with Michael Shanks and Rainbow at some other convention. Not sure which. I guess it varies. 953548 We'll just have to wait and see I suppose. I'd nearly prefer a group Talk, but meh... There's not much I can do to which ever way it goes.
14. Hee! Me too. :) But you won't be in peace necessarily. Fancy sharing the queue with Torri's infamous eight-armed alien in attendance? 953522 Or you could share the queue with the 3 irish guys not having a clue where they are or what they're doing there. 953538 Hehehe.... Na, I'm being the eight-armed alien. It's a conspiracy. 953546 The eight armed alien? now I'm interested.

17. Im on the case my friend - I will let you know if I find anything to help you - I seem to know a lot of people in the costuming world for some strange reason these days 953288 OK people - I am reliably informed that this is the place that you need for all your SG costuming requirements. Site comes recommended from people who have used it in the UK already.... REMOVED Have fun! EDIT - Sorry but as it says in the Welcome to the Collectormania forum thread. If you want to share links of this kind please send them via e-mail/MSN. Thanks. 953583 Could you PM it to me so, for the sheer interest.

22. I hate when people stand in front of you on a clear escalator. They stand the whole way up. I prefer to walk up them if I can. If it's busy that's fair enough, but I hate people who stand on escalators.
