i had a prepaid early bird ticket...and like a lot made a mad dash for a VT for Patrick Stewart,luckily i got number 306...in the time he was there he moved through over 650 i believe...i was very happy with my signature he also asked me what colour pen i would like has i had a black and white image of the cast...i said silver would be fine,i thanked him and he looked up at said "your welcome"...so over all i was happy with the day...

anyone else get the feeling that they were in a dark damp basement...rather than one of the biggest/brightest venues in the UK?

it really annoys me when people whinge about the price of DVD's or they are splitting the season...no one is putting a gun to your head and say "buy it"...you want to send a clear message to these companies ,its simple really don't buy it....and it won't be too long before you get to pick up a complete season for probably £20.00....like i did with Supernatural...they eventually come down in price if they don't sell aswell first time round....and it sends a clear message to keep the price down for the next season!

its not in walking distance,don't expect the taxi to be cheap...but the underground is right on your doorstep you could even take a bus!

I agree about having that feeling but the bottom line is renting Earls Court costs money and someone has to pay for it..................so its understandable really i guess. Still feels too much for me and some though. I will be there however and have budgeted £250 all in for the event. i'm not a big fan of entrance fees...but the upside of this event compared to Milton Keynes...is it isn't so cramped walking around the dealers tables with the daily shoppers of Milton Keynes,tripping over prams and small kids....and as been said....its not cheap to hire Earls Court!....but saying that i wouldn't want the Milton Keynes event to go anywhere else....Earls Court is just a nice change!

taxi prices are very expensive....the docklands to Earls Court is quite a distance and would set you back maybe twenty quid or more in a black cab....you'd be better off taking the docklands light railway then the underground! I would think significantly more than twenty quid. yes...get off at Piccadilly Circus....one direction will take you to Leciester Square that then leads to Covent Garden....or another direction would take you up Regents Street bringing you out to Oxford Circus(middle of Oxford Street)...incidently if you go up Regent Street...there are signs for Carnaby Street as well.

its only 6 stops on the Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus.....thats the most central spot in the west end...not that far at all really!

depending what day you arrive....parking can be free in certain areas around Earls Court at the weekend....i will be parking around the North End Road area on the Saturday and walking the short distance to the event!...as for free carparks in London at any other time...not a chance!

for the last two years there has been some kind of stand with a selection of models,from the fetish or glamour world...they were very popular as you can guess....and as far as i can remember there as never been any accusations of flashing up till now....i hope we do get some models there this year....if only to stick two fingers up at the fuddy duddies!

Because I unfortunatly missed it, and seems everyone with a camera did or id have seen the pics by now And would this be the same children getting pregnant at 13-14 because its the cool thing to do? I had two disposable cameras last year, filled them up, and they both got trashed by the heat. So you can't reasonably assume that just because nobody got a photograph of it, it didn't happen. Why would someone make that up, exactly? I agree, I wasn't one of the people who saw it, but you can't logically assume people didn't when it was complained about. As for the children, not all of them are like that, and I saw kids a lot younger than that at the convention. Regardless, it is still inappropriate behaviour for an all-ages event. I wouldn't invite them back either if someone complained of behaviour like that, which - the complaints - did certainly happen on the forum if not also elsewhere. so you say they were flashing their spam....but you didn't actually see it happen!...hmmm!

i'd like to see some glamour models there...but considering some killjoy negatives thoughts about last years ones...showmasters more than likely have knocked that idea on the head!
