  1. The photo's and a chat were the highlight of the event for me.. If your just after autographs then there is always eBay LOL! The photos and even a minute chat were worth far more to me than the autographs.. But saying that, you can never please eveyone. It just isn't possible to make 900 people have quality time with one person in one day. And 900 is a restriction on the number of people that want to ... I think they do their best and they did a good job!
  2. Also I had my missus with me and we normaly joke about fancying people off of the tv because 'it's not like we'll ever see them in real life' - so I felt a bit guilty when I actually was meeting some of my fav ladies off of the TV and asking my missus to take my picture with them.. She was very patient and understanding though (my missus) so I can;t complain!! LOL
  3. She was lovely, I wish I'd spoken to her longer but even though I come across with a rather forward attitude I ge a bit shy sometimes...
  4. I was pretty lucky, I bought a SatNav thing the other day which took me to the door from Somerset, and I was staying in the Holiday Inn opposite, so I found it really easy... Seriously - it was my first one and I thought it was great. I saw everyone I wanted too pretty much and could afford. Apart from Anthony Head and James Marsters, though I still got one of the signed pics that the crew brought round and I did have a ticket for Anthony, but I couldn't be botherded to hang around 6 hours as I had a 3 hour drive back home!
  5. I was lucky, I got 2 personalisations and a kind of posed pic, even though the sign said you couldn't!!, and yes, sadly everyone got a heart... Oh well!.. I did notice that even though I didn't have any problems as such, her crew members were pretty strictish, but I thought it was more to do with trying to get everyone through. I was chatting to one and she seemed alright to me..!
  6. I know I posted this pic in another thread, but I think it is a classic and I was very lucky ti manage to take it: It's Sylvester McCoy btw (who was doctor who before for those that don;t know!!)
  7. Katee Sackhoff, Starbuck from the new Battlestar Galactica.. She was very nice and chatty and I did enjoy speaking to her - great person.! I was getting Colin's autograph next to her stand when she arrived, I thought I was going to fall over the barrier in a rush to get round there, but I didn't want to seem to eager...
  8. LOL, yeah my friend was my not as enthusistic missus, unfortunalty as she is a *fair* bit older than me, Danny JJ reffered to her as 'my Mum' so we won't be watching Red Dwarf for some time LOL, poor bloke it wasn't his fault but it does upset my missus, understandably.... Anyway - here's a few more:
  9. Sorry you didn't get that... We were lucky, we dived in 5 minutes before he left! That man, BTW, is the previous Doctor Who to the current one (not counting Paul McGann) Sylvester Mccoy!! LOL
  10. Here's a few of my photos, I'll post some more if anyone's interested! (my favourite) I thought this was a good shot! There we go for now anyway!!
  11. Yep, thank you ShowMasters for making my FIRST collectormania great! Very well organised and everyone really friendly and helpful (as long as you are with THEM! - remember that - they are people too!!! LOL)
  12. I thought all the SM people were great, at the end of the day they may be making money, but they are also trying to get everyone through and trying to make sure that no-one is dissapointed. We queded up for Spike as well, but even though we could'nt get a ticket they brought round pre-signed stuff for us, when they could have just said tough. Blocking him off wasn't necessarily a SM thing, he might have requested it or it might have been part of his contract with their agents or film/tv company, as it is with a lot of these people. Not one of them said no to a photo with me, and the SM people were great and as long as you were happy and polite to them they would bend over backwards to oblige, they expecially appreciated it when THEY were appreciated - it's not an easy of particularly pleasant job when you think about it. If you go in with a strop on then they are bound to get pissed. How would you like to be stuck in the middle of 100/1000s of sweaty people having a probably quite cruddy and boring day when your just trying to do your job?
