  1. The dealers used to have a section on the forum and they used to do competitions - i.e. Incognito Comics but i don't think there is a dealer section on here now.
  2. Erm, i could be being really stupid here but how much per auto/shoot will Lenora Critchlow be? I can't seem to see it on the list.
  3. Yay, been waiting ages for talk times to go up. Can only afford to go on the Saturday so a bit sad that Katee's talk is on the Sunday with the horror talk. On the plus side i am glad that I will get to see William B Davis's talk am really looking forward to meeting him. This is my excited face >>
  4. I wasn't aware you could get personal items signed via the pre order service. Can someone please clarify?
  5. Andrew Robinson is a horror guest - he was in the first Hellraiser film! So meeting him.
  6. Don't come to it then. I'm sure the rest of us will have fun I didn't mean that it wouldn't be good. Just seems a random thing to have but that is only my opinion.
  7. Can someone from SM confirm if this is still happening please, and if it is do we have to pay at the door on the day because of it or can we book a ticket online? Surely there could be another ticket option that is valid only when presented with a DS?
  8. Oh my God how could i have forgotten that one! I just cracked up laughing like the first time i saw it!
  9. I'm not a fan of getting autos for the sake of it i like to actually meet the person. If i had the chance to get a genuine signed Roger Moore picture for example i just wouldn't do it and i haven't so far cos i met him at one of his book signings and got his auto for the price of his book. It's all about meeting the guest for me and if i don't get to meet them i don't get their auto, it's that simple.
  10. Rewatched some Next Gent the other day and forgot how funny some of the quotes were, so I thought as it's a bit quiet here of late we could share some of the best/funny/memorable quotes. Currently one of my favourites is : "Will, what the hell are you still doing here?" Picard, Best of Both Worlds pt 1. What are your favourite quotes?
  11. How did you send off forhis auto? I'd love to have it to put in my Avengers book.
  12. I'm sure he'll be back at some point. Could SM possibly get him an Marina?
  13. I was told to come back with a decent camera by Linda Hamilton to get a pic of me and her holding a terminator scuplt i'd made as she was so impressed with it... I did as she asked.. returned and she (surprisingly) had no one queing and staff said no... also walking past our table at the end of the day said hello to me so i suggested it to her (after all she told me to return with my good camera) and as she was taking off her hand bag ready for it i was blocked off by 2 staff members saying no move on, no posed pics etc... I was annoyed to say the least and Linda wasn't too impressed either apologising over and over.... (could have had 30 pics in the time she spent apologising) Witnessed it with other stars too... staff saying no but then the stars saying its ok and even going around the other side of the table for them etc. Its understandably hard to manage issues such as these but surely clear rules or guidlines could be in place... and then of course those voided at the stars request. I went up with my friend to meet George Takai at a previous event and he was happy to do a table photo but the SM staff stopped him. I wish there were more table photos like there used to be but i guess times are changing. It's just annoying when the guests don't mind but SM staff do for no apparent reason. Anyway...I personally could never really afford to spend over £30 on an autograph being a student because i have to take into consideration the cost of getting there and the entrance fee. I'm lucky i have been doing these since C:4 so i have met a lot of people i wanted to meet but i sometimes come up with my SFX society from uni - sometimes around 20 of us and soon if things start to get 'bigger' most of us won't be able to afford to do it - and i know many people like us that would be in the same situation. I worry that some stars will start charging what they charge for the US shows to bring it all into line and if everyone starts saying " yeah go for it, we don't mind the price" the days of £15 autos will be long gone soon. I get that people want a bigger variety of guests but maybe having fewer guests that are A listers may not be feasable for more people than they would like to say. Maybe keep the A listers to londonFILM? Seriously, if there are 4 A listers at one event that could mount up to £400 in just autos, than you have the entrance and the travel and maybe a hotel. In my mind i could never afford to do this. I think maybe go for it, see how it works and then maybe limit certain guests to the 'bigger events' so people still have the chance to meet them. Tbh i had hoped that C:London would just be another Collectormania but from what Jason has said it looks like it will be packed if there a a few A listers. It's not a massive hall like Earls Court will be so it may just get a bit claustrophobic but i could be wrong. For me last time the stalls were packed and the stairs were really busy. Imagine this with double the number of people. I'm not saying it's a bad thing but i think people should think about the number and price that the A listers will be. I knowa lot of people on this board don't really like the fact that there are kids at these things and i guess you'd get a whole new set of customers without kids if they were serious auto collectors. Does anyone else not think that the atmosphere at these events will be different? Sorry for the long post i'm just trying to rationalise the pros and cons.
  14. Yes autographs cannot be pre booked online, SM operates a virtual queueing system, so first in the hall to get a VT ticket the earlier you get to join his line to get his auto. The only things i have ever seen online are paid talk tickets, entrance tickets and photoshoots.
  15. Oh SM you have no idea how gutted i am that i can't go! I have wanted to meet her for ages (since C:4!). Please get her to a regular signing event pleeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee.
  16. Terry Farrell - i need to meet her again she is amazing Scott Bakula - missd him at LFCC last year Nana Visitor - really want to meet her and get her on my cast pic (Gul....yes that would also be more than acceptable!)
  17. Oh my god that dude is a legend! I didn't believe it til i just saw it. Can barely still believe it. How awesome is that. How did it even happen? Now who do i want a photoshoot like that with....
  18. Well no offence to some of you in enthusiastically posting in the guest suggestions but its a lot to wade through. My only ever major guest want since i was 15 (ten years ago, lol) is the legend that is Patrick Mcnee. The man is an absolute legend. Please please please please please please please please SM
  19. It's a shame but there is so much going on at the end of the year now and i for one wouldn't be able to afford to do it all. I guess this year C:London has replaced MK but thats cool cos it was so popular and a bit easier for some to get to. Looking forward to the end of the year now and next year we'll all be happy cos the weather won't matter!
  20. I was quite surprised to see so many 'big' names on open queue and also how easy it was to get a photo/autograph at the last minute. Is it always this way at events? I'll be at the LFCC next and don't want to be too laid back expecting this one to be just as quiet if it's going to be completely different. (Just to add though, this is not a criticism of the event that it was quiet, I'd like to think it's more a testament to how well organised it all was). I personally have been doing LFCC since it started and have always found it to be really busy. Someone told me the Sunday of C16 there was the grand prix, rugby and something else on so hence why it was quieter. You can leave things to see if they go open Q by the end of the day but some guests may leave a bit early and may not be open Q so i wouldn't be laid back if you plan to do LFCC just in case!
  21. Robert i saw you, starjadzia, thedorklord and timelord81r a few times over the weekend but i wondered if i went up to you all would you recognise me or think i was crazy, lol! Next time maybe at LFCC if you're there i will! Steevo SM probably deleted your post because i think there has been several problem posters if you get what i mean recently, they were probably just trying to safe guard. Next time if you post specific things i'm sure they will be addressed.
