I feel exactly the same way about crewing as I do about marmite. Wanna guess which way it goes?

Ok, firstly because it would have been fun. But, guests cancel. They have work to do, and despite what some people are suggesting, SM/ME advertised a TW con, they're still giving us a TW con. And Barrowman wasn't at the Hub2 and it was still awesome. So we will go, we will party and we will have fun. And if you were daft enough to book a ticket purely to see one guest? Then you can complain and be dull and watch everyone else have a good time.

Graham says if he was really that desperate that he'd have got himself checked into the hospital all weekend. But couldn't convince the doctor to do that. (Graham - on a serious note - thanks to everyone for helping out and I'm well on the way to recovery and it won't be long until I'm rampaging a long like a lunatic per usual). I can't put Pit boss in the thanks. It still seems weird. Anyway, thanks to everyone who worked in the autographs pit(s) on Sunday and made everything go as smoothly as possible so as not to freak a new PB out. And thanks to everyone (particularly Mara, Justin and Joyce) who helped me looked out for Graham and threaten to kick his ass when he tried to do much. Also thanks to Penfold for not getting the least bit angry when I managed to destroy his crew tshirt. See you all in London for the next one!!

Collectormania:MK was originally free because there was no way to police the entrance without blocking off the shops too, which obviously couldn't happen. Since MK is now out of the centre, I assume SM want to try and keep the business up. But MK is the only event they've ever had as free. Kip

Because it could get Showmasters into a lot of trouble. Announcing a guest and selling tickets on that name when you don't have them is false advertising, and that's bad business because it annoys the attendees AND the actors. SM won't announce anything until the contract has been signed.

Exactly. Well said. What? I said something useful. Awesome. ;p But I'm glad the jist of it came across. It's also a plea to not be mad at the crew because they might be just telling you what they have been told to. Hmm... well you'll never see me at one of *those* again. Did you tell them that you just wanted a photo and to not buy an autograph when you joined the queue? Because that would have explained it. Or did the person at the VQ end let you in and the cash crew refuse you? If that's the case it wouldn't be her fault. As has been said before though, if you find yourself in a situation where you're unhappy - raise the issue with a pitboss at the time. Then you would have had it explained to you that the only chance of you getting a photo like that is if you waited until there was no queue for Edward.

This might have been me. I don't think it was, but I did turn a few people away from that queue for your reason (red t-shirt, large girl, long dark hair in ponytail? - I hung around the Terminator queues most of the afternoon). Apart from the reasons that everyone else has given you - Edward Furlong was a slow signer because he wanted to talk to his fans, but he was also feeling ill which probably didn't help. Due to a few technical hitches he didn't sign for as long as was possible and we always had a long VT queue of people that wanted to pay for his autograph. In that situation? You are never going to be able to just say hi. And any crew member who lets you shouldn't be doing it. And as Jason pointed out, one of the things that the crew are there to do is to be the bad guys. We say no so that the guest doesn't have to. Because truthfully? You will remember that meeting with your favourite actor for the rest of your life. The mean crew member who said you couldn't have a hug? Will you even remember what they look like next week? Just saying. Kip

Go to the crew section of the board and read the topic on what is involved in crewing, and then send your details to the e-mail in that topic. That will put you on the list so you'll get the application e-mails for shows. Kip

LFCC is almost always in July, and would have to tie up with when SM can get Earl's Court.

Got home at 9pm last night and literally just collapsed into bed. It was the best feeling ever!

I am almost positive that you can't because it's a perk for those that buy the gold pass.

Hey guys, Thanks for a great weekend, and especially to the guys in pit A on Sunday who put up with me fumbling through my first time as Pit Boss. We managed to get through everything well! (And sorry to Lance who had the uncanny knack for always being there when I needed a crew member). Kip

I should be able to come, just trying to find a feasible way of GETTING there. Since I can't get the Friday off (4/6 in my section are off already) and so will still be in Oxford at 5.30. Unless anyone knows of anyone driving up from down south that late? Kip
