No one is making you go. As with everything in life, you pick and choose and go with what you can afford. Thing is, moving MK to later gives the builders even more extra time (how much do they need?) to get the hall ready so we'll be inside. Work permitting, I'll be at both LFCCW and CM20, even if it's just for a day or to hang out. I didnt meet any guests this weekend yet had the best time, so I can do these things pretty cheap.

I had an awesome weekend! But as always, I'm sure we all didnt catch the name of that awesome person we spoke to in a queue or that great cosplayer we walked past but never said hello to. So, as always, post here if you want to identify and say hi to anyone :) First off, the great Daenerys cosplayer I briefly spoke to with my friend in the photoshoot queue for Gethin on sunday. You rocked! Thanks for posing for apic. Just sorry I didnt get your name. On saturday I spotted a very cute crew member giving out VTs/managing the queues outside Dave Legeno's area. I saw that your name was Charlie by your crew badge but didnt say hi. And Steven Robertson's guest assistant on Saturday. You were awesome while we waited for him to return from meeting Ronnie O'Sullivan. Didnt ask your name though cause I suck. My gf didnt catch it either when you two were on the sports guest area on sunday.

The only time I did Glasgow I flew up, and it was actually less than the train fare would of been and a fraction of the time.

Yeah apart from pubs/bars/clubs (which I'm not a huge fan of either) pretty much nowhere is open in the wee hours.

But what I said was they may have done. They may have asked him aaaages ago, But he may only recently of known that his diary was clear for the MK weekend and got back to them saying 'yes I can do it' SM asking and a guest announcment topic can be months apart, it's all down to when the guest finally confirms they can do it. And yes it is cheaper, but as I said you need to weigh up meeting Malcom against how long you want travel to take, how much you are willing to spend, how long you want to be waiting around and so on. You started this thread seemingly wanting help and advice, but you've pretty much shut down everything anyone has said, including facts about coaches actually running that weekend. It seems you are set in what you wnat to do and how you have to do it, no matter what advice or info any of us here give you.

No one would say dont meet a guest you like, but as the person both paying and doing the travelling, you have to weigh up the pros and cons of it. Meeting one guest and not even really being interested in the rest of the event vs. the costs and all the travel and time. I know I wouldnt travel over a certain amount just for one guest if there was nothing else for me to do. It would have to be like an A-list Hollywood star I'd never meet again to get me to break that rule. And in terms of when he was announced, it's never in SM's hands. They are allowed to announce when a guest has signed all the paperwork and agreed to come. That could be a year before the event, it could be two weeks. Once SM ask, it's up to the agents and the stars to agree and sign it all or say no. Months could pass between SM asking and someone saying yes or no. Guests have lots of work on, so they have to make sure they arnt filming that weekend or in a play or doing whatever else. So you can never be sure when a guest will be announced, 'big' or 'small'. Oh and I dont know where you are looking, but National Express has coaches that weekend. I just looked and you could get the 11pm on the friday night, get to MK at 9:25am saturday morning, go to the stadium meey Malcom, leave MK at 7:55pm and be back in Glasgow for 6:15am Sunday morning. I mean it's not the cheapest thing in the world £40 for the return) but it's do able and better than hanging around for hours and hours.

Yeah of course. Henc emy indoor skiing idea. It's where a lot of food places are, the cineworld, some arcade style things, a small casino I think. Last time I looked they were revamping the bowling so that wasnt open, but it may be now. They may even have laser tag.

Haha if you think this is close to the event to announce guests, you should see some other events. It's practically impossible to plan as they dont announce guests or prices for them till like 2 weeks or less before! And apart from clubbing and maybe some bars, there isnt much to do in any town in the wee small hours. Rest of the day it's like any place though. Plenty of shops, cafes, cinema, bowling if its now reopened, indoor skiing lol MK has it all. Also just to be clear, the Kingston centre you are referring to is quite a way from where the SM coaches will pick up/drop off. They go from the MK train station and the main MK shopping centre.

They probably wont know until closer to the event or maybe even the day. It will be a case of Peter or his agent saying 'yeah he said he'll stand' or 'Peter/I would like to sit down'. That stuff is usually an on the day thing.

I usually have to ask, but this time around I actually spoke to and even exhanged numbers with people that caught my eye or I thought were awesome. If anymore come to mind that I didnt do that with I'll ask here.

In no way blaming attendee or crew, did those of you needing multiple prints for something wait around and say/ask when you got the first one? Or did the photographer actually not take more? As the printing system is automated, if the photographer dosnt take 2 or more for you, only 1 will come out. You'd have to then say 'hey we need 2' and they'd have to either take another pic or find a way to print it again.

The two autos I heard were in bags were Ethan and Vaughn Armstrong. Now I would of rather liked Vaughn as I've not met him yet. But I'd met Ethan. So yes, it did say event guest. But, I would of been happy with a non-event guest as long as I'd not met them
